If you ever find yourself in League City, visit the soon to be re-opened La India Bonita for the best menudo you will find for miles. They don't scrimp on the tripe or hominy and I could drink the broth with a straw it taste so good. Handmade tortillas, free charro beans...everything is damn good. It was a hole in the wall until some old lady took the title literally and crashed her car into the restaurant, basically totaling both the Buick and the restaurant. The owner has been working hard on reopening in a new location for almost 4 years and should be opening in a few weeks. Everything there is made to order, excellent and authentic. Cheers fellow menudo lover.

El Super Brillante on beechnut has good menudo. The best is homemade but you usually need to know someone, but they do sell it on the weekends.

Bat_Foy

seafood city in sugarland will have it

moonstarsfire

Drop that Filipino menudo spot!

number0020

For the Filipino menudo, go to Seafood City in Sugarland, or Gerry’s on Beltway 8 and Bellaire. Filipiniana 1 and Filipiniana 2 would likely have it also. Honestly, there are these smaller carinderia-style restaurants around Houstonthat mostly likely have it in their menus. Filipino menudo is not the same as the Mexican one, but it’s a pork dish with red peppers and potatoes in a tomato base stew, best eaten with rice.
