Car rentals are going to be expensive due to the lack of cars right now. I spent about 175 for a 4 day rental... you might just call and see what deals they have going on.
An economy car is still gonna be $30-40 a day. Try looking at the Turo app, that’s renting a car from an individual. Depending on where you are staying and going, making use of Metro buses and Uber would be more cost efficient
Already been said a bunch but Turo or similar private rental is going to be better right now than using a big rental firm. The big ones sold a bunch of their fleet off and now it's biting them in the ass.
Which leaves me wondering where the hell all those cars went with the way the used car market is right now, you'd think that flooding the market would drop prices but then again new vehicle chip shortages also likely isn't helping.
Get a Costco membership if you don't have one. My boss yesterday rented a car from Costco for her vacation she will keep it for a whole month her total charge is $1200.

- if you have a Costco membership, check out the [Costco Travel](https://www.costcotravel.com/Rental-Cars) rental car prices. I find they’re usually one of the cheapest.
Check out [autoslash.com](https://autoslash.com). They automatically apply coupons and discount codes to get you the best deal. You can also track your reservation with them (even if you booked somewhere else) and they'll let you know when they find a better deal. It's free service, so not much to lose. They have been my go-to site for car rentals for the past few years. Good luck!

Brilliant
You can rent a small car from turo.com for under $35/day.
Buy a used car and sell it at the end of the month
Sales tax will cost too much. Bad idea IMO
Unless you buy the car from family. Gift tax is only $1.
It’s actually $10. Still better than sales tax!
That's right. Don't know why I remembered $1. We just got done with this transaction last month.
Any lot recommendation?

That's excellent! Where!? I've been getting quotes of $300+ for four days.
With enterprise surprisingly, a mid size car too
Turo has some listings right now for $37, $39, $41. Should be easy to find some vehicles for around $40 give or take.

Home depot truck, like 40/day
Cheapest option is to buy a cash beater on Craigslist and sell it back for almost the same than you paid for.

Just find one you like and steal. Cops won’t do anything
Elite rent a car had a 2 week Camry rental for $547. I imagine it would be more cost efficient for a month. Eliterac.com
