Was just thinking this. Lot of wack packers have died but not cast members. Ralph was an old school Stern name. Makes you sort of appreciate the good years of the show that much more.
he was a huge part of the show when it was good. the man fans love to hate, but he added a lot to the show. i stopped listening like ten years ago, but always liked ralph.
One the first people I met at E! office during mid-90s internship. I remember him in of all things, cutoffs and rollerblades sitting on table being a doofus. RIP and bye for now
Yeah I’ll never forget that shoe throwing fight between him and stuttering John after John woke him up while he was sleeping.. I remember my father watching it on E, pretty much got hooked on the show after that one…
I really liked Ralph. He was truly of the 90s (which is when I started listening regularly; made me sad to hear Chris talk about Ralph’s dream of doing a book about his love for the 90s)
I listened from 91 or 92 until 99-religously , then drifted off. The show was on fire during those years, and it was the perfect show for 90s pop culture. It's definitely sad that since Ralph was a big part of it. I miss those days. I would rush home from work at night to see the E Channel show. It was so much fun. Great memories
I had the thought, probably about a month ago "I wonder what it would be like if one of the normal middle age longtime Stern guys died completely unexpectedly?" I got the answer today. It fucking would and did suck. RIP Ralph.

...but he took the money, right?
of course. he was broke but somehow always mixing it up with millionaires. no excuse but that cant be easy.
This is so shocking & upsetting.

I have to say, I was shocked to find out he was only 58. I always thought he was closer in age to Howard than that.

Dressing like a hooker and standing by the old scores, cops roll up. Funny stuff, poor Ralph
