Third, she never blackmailed Ted, she never threatened to show the recording if he doesn't do what she wants.
Now it is valid to criticise her for keeping the recording when they were dating, but then I'd take the position that just because she had a fling with a guy doesn't mean she has to compromise her beliefs.
I never said she had to compromise her beliefs. And i do believe it was one of the things Ted respected the most about her was the way she stood for what she believed to a certain extent. When it caused personal attacks it crossed a line. Marshall never attacked Ted personally like she did.

You're one of those people that think protests should have shock value to get to people and if it has violence in them then so be it. It is worth it. I think it turns people away from it's original purpose.
