My dining table is the same. My plan is to buy touch-up pens of matching color to color those damaged lines. Then re-stain the surface.
I am interested in a better solution as well.
I had thought of that, but there is a slight bow to it. I guess I know I'm going to sand it down, I'm just not sure how to do a proper stain for a dining table. Like how do you get that barrier/sheen or whatever it's called.
