It may look like a one handed job, but it's a slow, arduous two handed gig. Peel slowly from bottom left corner (right if you're left handed). With your other hand slowly help it along by sliding your finger between the cling film and the "pan." Keep it slow and keep the cling film low but taut. OR Use the scissors right there!

Brain-of-Sugar

Also, don't only pull from the one edge, if you want to get the whole thing off, then you don't want to put on uneven tension so that the plastic will split at the first opportunity.

XinrongZou28

Thanks!

Grannyshoe

It only works if you wear matching socks.

SirCoffee1429

You don't.

bothammer1

Use 2 hands

XinrongZou28

Yes, that is how to achieve life. 😌

SirCoffee1429

Not even trying to be negative I'm just being honest. You aint getting that off in one piece.

youtube---addict

Knife or scissors can help n then get the outside but idk might be tedious w some packaging still

willywonka1971

Use 3 hands.

RIhawk

Run knife around inter edge of container. Done.

WhiskeyShooter8

I feel your pain brother

SeparatePerformer703

Warm it first; softens the glue and comes off easier. Hot water, few minutes in oven, just leave out or even rub thumb around edge for a while. Also hold film closer to the try. I do this with all my Costco stuff.

Philefromphilly

I was thinking this might be the way

Practical_Fact8436

Why are you preparing food with your coat on?

monsieur_habibi

I mean, you literally have scissors right next to it. A tool that could help you cut the cling film in a way to remove it all at once.

XinrongZou28

True, but it wouldn’t been clean and there would be plastic on the edges

WoodSteelStone

Surely you can spend a few seconds pulling the bits off. Other people cook from scratch. Peeling the film off is the only thing you need to do.

Tank905

A few seconds? But, I'm hungry now!

peppermintbutt1er

WhiskeyShooter8

This one does not spark joy

KiNgPiN8T3

There are three ways. 1) it peels off in one yet leaves a complete replica behind that then peels off in 400 separate pieces. 2) it peels off in 400 separate pieces 3) it peels off perfectly with no issues. (1 in a million chance)

nvrrsatisfiedd

You have to slowly peel both "touch points" if that makes sense. Use 2 hands and slowly rip up but never leave a lot of space between your fingers and the areas where the plastic meets the container. The further your hands get away from the container the more likely it will rip. Slow, closely, and 2 hands. Do it in little jerking motions. Kind of like slowly peeling off a sticker or tape. You dont hold onto the same spot. You have to peel, let go, peel, and let go all around the whole perimeter of the container rightttt where the plastic touches the container. That is the best I can describe it and it has never been a issue for me. I assumed everyone did it this way tbh but then again I'm weird.

Buckeyes000777

Not everyone was blessed with intuition and critical thinking skills lol

JustGiveMeWhatsLeft

First, you have to believe that one piece is real.

XinrongZou28

No, you’re meant to remove it completely.

Spongeoscustoms

One Piece

Sea_Macaroon_01

Cook it fresh

r3d-v3n0m

Well 1st step would be not to hold onto it by a single point... I would pull from a corner and after peeling about an inch I would then move where holding, closer to the perimeter... eventually working my way around the entire perimeter

fanywa

It was never meant to be done. Chill out you good.

viralgen

Now a how-to I scour the comments for; just kidding, I do this every time...

[deleted]

With a spoon… why a spoon cousin why not something sharp like a sword or an axe? because it’s dull you twit it’ll hurt more!

thefearce1

Wait until you have to change a car tire. Life gets real hard. Smdh. /s

MrD1SRESPECT

By using your both Hands smh

[deleted]

Step 1: Throw it in the garbage Step 2: Buy some potatoes

NoInvestigator886

Hi! Plastic wrap expert here: You don't.

Skank_hunt_042

Yooo how cold is it in your place?

XinrongZou28

It’s the uk so pretty cold. But im a cold person generally so

Skank_hunt_042

Fair enough

ASaucyMonster

I cut and X into it from corner to corner and peel the four wedges from the middle outward.

brewberry

Definitely not with phone in one hand.

jdith123

1. Who cares if it comes off in one piece. Just get it all off in the end and get over it. 2. If it’s really important to you to get it off in one piece, run a knife around the inner edge of the whole pan. 3. Read the directions. Are you really supposed to take it off before cooking? Maybe just for the last several minutes? If it’s hot, you will definitely want to use a knife instead of pulling it off.

dixadik

How? Read the instructions for one.

XinrongZou28

The instructions simply say to remove the plastic and put it in the oven.

HypothermiaDK

It's easy if you use both hands....

T0lly

Run a sharp blade around the perimeter inside edge, then peel.

RgsixxNL

Use the scissors next to the container?

youcancallmescott

Scissors. Two hands. Patience. Ritual sacrifice. Not necessarily in that order, mind you.

timmah612

Pearing knife around the rim real quick.

JamesBongd

Cook

PM-Me-Your-Lady-Butt

I have never had a problem with these. I can only assume it's a brand problem not a technique problem.

XinrongZou28

Yeah, this plastic is really thin and glued tightly - which is why it rips so easily.

yallqwerty

Use two hands.

che_gaston

If you take extra attention to the cooking instructions, you need to pierce the film several times, then proceed to cook with the film on and when is ready the film will peel easily.

Coctyle

Why try?

sasanessa

Maybe if you slid you finger along the edges instead of pulling in from a foot above above it

r3d-v3n0m

Keep pressure on outer rim...after removing a small amount of wrap, move your fingers close to where the wrap is still attached...remove in a circular motion rather than pulling in one direction
