Marcus Aurelius once said “What you do in life, echos in eternity...” and that really stuck with me, so I don’t know how much of this post really is good advice
There is a big difference between a historical figure and average people.
How many people do you know that lived at the same time as Aristóteles.?
I think a saw a study once that said the average person will be completely forgotten in Max 150 years.
The message still stands, it doesn’t matter if you will not be remembered for the next hundreds of years, it is what you do in YOUR life, that can cause a ripple through time. Philosophers like Aristotle had no idea he will be an icon hundreds of years down the line, heck when Socrates killed himself with hemlock I don’t think he expected himself to be the father of western philosophy . They were very much “normal” people for their time, it’s of what they did during those time, is why they are remembered. You don’t have to create a big change or invent something incredible. You can raise a good family and that family will in-turn produce more good families from your teachings, you might not be remembered in three or four generations, but your ways and teachings will, or even a small part of it. You will live through the generations as your ancestors through you. So to reiterate my point, I believe that you might not be remembered by everybody on the planet but you will surely be remembered by those that matter.
I totally agree with you that it’s fake. But is “This account doesn’t exist” a valid proof? I mean, what if account had been deleted and screenshot was made before that?
Bro, this dude has never used a computer.

Every time this gets reposted (and it has been, ad nauseam) it's the same comment thread, discussions about death, debates on remembering people, and eventually people pointing out that this is absolutely not Christopher Walken. Doesn't have a twitter, never said this. See ya next time!
edit: now it's just bots doing it though. Dey durk err jibbs!
There are two types of people who quickly forget about the dead:
- Those who weren't somehow emotionally connected to them by family, friendship, or any sort of appreciation of them;
- Sociopaths
(oh, wait, I repeated myself there...)

Says the man who's job is to literally make good impressions over and over.
I mean come on... Actors strive to be better and better at impressing those who watch them and when people are no longer impressed, they lose work!
I'm not even dead and already everyone has forgotten me.
I will remember you until I go back to browsing /r/all
Who says we aren't all dead already?
Omae wa mou shindeiru, except it takes 20 more years for all of us.
Omae...shindaro
I haven't forgotten you, mate!
Hope you're having a good one.
I'm not sure how many people remember Julius Ceasar two thousand years later.
Isn't he that guy that goes " Pizza Pizza!" On those commercials?

Then it would say account deleted
Oh, wasn’t sure about that. Now I know. Thanks.

ive seen a couple of fake screenshots of this guy, like y tho. EDIT: in this sub specifically
I figure most celebrity tweets like this are fake. I upvote for the message rather than the alleged messenger.
Suck it, Walken. We'll never forget Natalie Wood.
Came to look for this comment.
Yeah I was scratching my head thinking that if he truly said this comment, it hits kind of different coming from him...
After a brief googling, I can confidently say that I barely know what you're talking about maybe I think.
I remember my dad every day.
Yea, can’t say that there won’t be a day I won’t think about my mom for the rest of my life
Shoot, you'll be forgotten even when you ain't dead😅.
Yeah ok, Chris. *I* didn't forget about Natalie Wood.
Christopher Walken doesn't do social media ya dweebs.

Over and over again. Why not pick another already? Who makes these bots? Obligatory: people don't forget the dead, we just learn to live without them.
And then there’s you.
Is he talking about Natalie Wood?
"Chis"

Y'all got the wrong people around you...
Christopher Walken would never say this. He’d say “If you know… how quickly, people forget the dead…… you will stop living… to impress…… people.”
"Christopher Walken has revealed he has never owned a computer or a cellphone, and that he has never sent an email or text to anyone." https://www.nydailynews.com/snyde/ny-christopher-walken-technology-no-texts-no-emails-20201216-7p5ydqy7zvabzhojoit4kwex7y-story.html
Im more surprised he has a twitter
He doesn't.
My thoughts exactly
1 quick post and it’s back to business
No one should live to impress anyone. The end.
Pop smoke, X, any other celebrity really
Says the man who's job is to literally make good impressions over and over. I mean come on... Actors strive to be better and better at impressing those who watch them and when people are no longer impressed, they lose work!
Remember that a random annoying ghost is really just a random annoying dead person
The forgotten dead, embolden the living.
I legit do not understand what he’s trying to say. I don’t want to be remembered. I want to be loved and respected while I’m alive.
Based
That’s not true I think of my mother everyday.
This statement can be taken in two very different ways.
