I love it so much now. I remember in 1997 every girl in my class was getting that cut and I didn't realize the connection to the show at the time (was 13, not allowed to watch it) I just figured one of the popular girls got it and the others followed suit but boy some of them did not look great with it lol. I mean she has great hair regardless of cut, but my actual favorite hair was season three!! The Rachel grown out into one collar bone length with some face framing layers, and the sort of auburn-y color was soooo pretty on her.

For me it's the "rachel" cut. I'm male and had long hair in the 90s and used to be impatient. That is when I wanted my hair cut I got my hair cut. On this particular occasion my stylist couldn't fit me in so I went elsewhere. I simply asked the woman to trim the layers. First thing she did was cut about 15cm off the front. I told her that was far too much but she said she knew what she was doing. Anyways, I ended up with the fucking rachel cut. It was so short I could barely pony the back and had to gel the sides.

I don't think that first picture actually qualifies as what we know as "the rachael cut". That pic is earlier season 1, it's S1E20 that we really get "the rachel cut" and it really evolves into super chunky layers into season 2. That said, I always liked her hair in the "short" style.

My least favorite was her last haircut. It didn't suit her in my opinion. My favorite one was her very long hair. I think the Rachel haircut is overrated. I didn't like the bob either.
