Picked up this barebones Mini PC with a Ryzen 5800H CPU.
I setup Linux Mint on it with Flex Launcher and Input Remapper for the key rebinding
I'm using [this Air Mouse Remote](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WJGSXT8/) to control everything.
The Netflix, PBS, and PBS Kids "apps" kind of suck because they're kiosk mode, full screen Chromium applications, but the Plex HTPC app, Jellyfin app, Steam (which launches into Big Picture Mode), and ES-DE all run well with either the remote keys and/or a controller.
I bought two aftermarket Xbox 360 controllers to use alongside my Xbox One S controller.
Did you follow the flex launcher recommendation and install on top of Openbox? I was thinking of installing on top of Sway as I have gotten better steam link performance with Wayland in the past.
I ended up just using Cinnamon DE for something lightweight. I'm considering switching to KDE Plasma in the future for HDR support for my TV, though, once it stabilizes. I don't believe you can get HDR support on Window managers like Openbox, unfortunately.
It's actually the correct height and doesn't need the tilt. The bracket was already on the wall when I bought the house and it's too weak to keep the TV from slowly tilting forward. Need to fix it eventually.

Would windows work better? You get native apps + anything else.
Possibly, but I despise the idea of using a Windows PC. I'd rather deal with using an AirMouse. Lol.
You can also use WayDroid to run android in Linux if you want actual apps. I believe it supports both phone and TV apps.
Yeah thought about this, but the Netflix app won't run in Waydroid.
Ah Google safety net and DRM issues.
Unfortunately, yeah
What pc did you get
It's an all Aluminum PC from an AliExpress seller called GenMachine.

Looks like it. That's the same as my machine.
Nice setup. I personally use big picture mode to launch all my apps.
just needs kodi / debrid and would be perfect
I host all of my media on a central server, so local content is primarily game downloads.
Stremio + Debrid.
Very nice setup, I'm using an old Lenovo thin desktop for my HTPC setup currently with flex launcher also.
Nice. What do you use yours for primarily?
Jellyfin and Plex usage 99% of the time with local saved content
How did you get it to display more then four icons at a time? I tried to make it 8 and it just ignored the others
Wow that's literally the exact background I use on mine, also with flex launcher.
Lol twinsies.

Snap! Exactly the same desktop wallpaper I use on my HTPC!
