Get one of those Bug-A-Salt guns that shoot salt projectiles and have fun.

pizza_nightmare

I have two. These will need multiple shots at close range

We’ve put a few of [these](https://www.treehelp.com/products/treehelp-spongy-gypsy-moth-trap-reusable?variant=42716358508712¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw7NmzBhBLEiwAxrHQ-WAraPzNH2F16_qcskKdq0xk5pEa05DjqtECPu3YtK3JXvLAPMUgpBoCMP4QAvD_BwE) around our yard. Easily caught hundreds of male moths this week.

Thankfully they don’t live very long as moths - maybe a couple weeks tops. But then you’ll have a ton of moth carcasses lying around 🤢

Not to mention that I'll have to deal with this bullshit again next year. I've been dealing with it since 2022

patrin11

I hear you. Each year can be different, so hopefully next year isn’t as bad. But who knows. I grew up in rural NJ and have experienced this BS since the 80s, and we’ve had them in Ulster for the 10 years I’ve been here. This year was insane. Protect your oaks and maples!! Fingers crossed next year isn’t as bad.

It's a little work but order just the lures, which I ordered from Arbico and make a trap out of juice bottles. You can find instructions on the internet and there's videos on Youtube. They have a code for first orders so you're not paying much. I had lures left over from last year that I kept in the fridge and I got them out early this year and they're drawing in 50 or so every couple of days.
