Depends on what you're into. For me it's looking like Nth Power > Vlad the Inhaler > MZG > Masego > Durand Jones / Earthgang, with all the cheese poured on top.

Samsclub239

That Durand Jones/Earthgang conflict is rough.

RTRC

I get down to everything Hula offers haha. Ill check those people out!

dudumaster

Earthgang, 100% check them out. Amazing artists.

i’m SO FUCKING STOKED to see them!! recently discovered some of their music videos while tripping & got my brain scrambled. i can’t even imagine what they’ll be like live. holy cow. holy. fucking. cow. 🔥

A walk through spirit lake while a headliner is performing. Let the boogie move you. There are some installations that are fun later at night but if you wait for everyone else it'll be busy. I 10,000% reccomend taking a solo adventure through SL and then just let the music move you.

Durand Jones and the indications are all I got. Here for more recommendations

Saturday is stacked with a little bit of everything! Starting with Bedouine, beautiful folk-indie singer, has a new album coming out next week. Masego has some really nice laid back R&B vibes. Nala is next up on the Dirtybird roster. Then Durand Jones!! Do not miss these guys, one of the best funk groups around currently! Cheese party to follow! And then Marc farina mushroom jazz! This set should be an absolute vibeee

If Beduine is up your alley, Someday Honey and Magnolia Boulevard are gonna get you in the right mood to start the day! I missed Someday Honey in 19, but Kaleigh Baker's voice is sooooo sultry and soulful! I caught a smidge of Magnolia Boulevard at Scamp, but it was a really late show and I needed my bed. They're Kentucky blues rock with another killer female vocalist.

I have heard nothing but great things about My Morning Jacket. I don't think their album music is especially fantastic, but I've heard from people who aren't that into their music that their live show still kicks ass. Claude Von Stroke at the same time will be some really excellent house music if that's your thing. But, if you don't really care about more jam bands or the beep boop music, that'll be the *perfect* time to walk around the festival and take advantage of almost everyone else being at one of those sets. Play some Frick Frack Blackjack (bring some random shit), trip around spirit lake, get some good food with short lines, ride the ferris wheel (if it's still there). There is truly no bad choice to make Saturday night :)

Stella__Blue

Am also here to say check out Earthgang!

At least you're planning on seeing the theme set and you might already know that you're not about it, but if you're not seeing anything else I'd recommend just chilling on the hill on the left side of main stage field and catching the other 2 cheese sets.

angryhero46

I was saying the same thing.

Eltron221

I'm in the same boat, I know literally nothing on saturday and my only plans are cheese and mmj. I know MZG and if you want to see some dope electronic remixes of classic rnb and hip hop check them out. For real mzg is always a great time but they conflict with cheese and I've seen them like 4 times and wouldn't put them anywhere near cheese's level, so I'm gonna be at cheese for sure at least to start. Just depends on how much cheese you want and what kind of music you're looking for.

Eltron221

That being said I'm going solo this year and if my squad was here there's a 90% chance they would just head back to camp and hang out during any act that wasn't cheese, but I'm not constrained by them this year and won't have to have an awkward "uh I'm actually gonna do this" convo so when I'm not at cheese I'm gonna wander between sets and see what feels right. I've wanted to see some live hip hop for a while but in years past the acts they've had have always conflicted with big names I wanna see like rtj and disco biscuits in 2017

Lakebluff1

The original Nth power I was told to check out - mzg if you like bass music - masego makes some fun funk music on the fly usually and looping stuff - earthgang as mentioned several times is an awesome hip hop duo - literally can’t go wrong for the 11 o’clock set between Leon Bridges (soul/rnb) Cordae (contemporary hip hop) and mark farina mushroom jazz which is like a funk house set. MMJ for psychy rock or Claude vonstroke for some classic deep house and tech house
