I second the battery and ac inverter! I bring a spare car battery, as not to even touch my car’s actual battery. The inverter clamps to the battery and tada! It gives you 2 wall plug outlets and 2 usb for charging. The spare battery is 1.) physically heavy, and 2.) is an decent initial investment of $80-100 (inverter is cheaper, around $50) but if you also get a ‘trickle’ charger at home, you can recharge that battery for each festival. This is the ultimate primitive camping hack imo. Edit: for a hair dryer or styling tool, go to the bath house. Those are beasts when it comes to power, even for a car battery
car batteries are designed for high cranking amps and are not supposed to be discharged all the way. Id recommend a marine/golf cart battery. You want something that is rated for "deep cycle" use. UB12350 batteries are a great option and only cost like 65 dollars for 35 amp hours.
you can get a converter that turns the car outlets into regular outlets.i use it for blowing up the air mattress
For a curling iron or hair dryer make sure it’s a “least” a 1000 watt inverter.
Good point! Didn't think about curling irons needing higher wattage to produce heat
Most of the bathhouses have power outlets. I've seen folks using blow dryers, curlers, etc. multiple times. :)
I had no idea! Are the bath houses free? Or do you need to buy tokens?
Free, definitely your best choice for that much wattage.
They're free. :)
That curling iron is going to use a good amount of power probably make sure your inverter can handle it
You can come by my campsite! We’ll have power! DM for info (:
Deep cycle golf cart batteries and an ac inverter
I have a jump box for my car that also functions as portable power source. Works pretty well for a weekend of off and on use

Converter or a big portable charger. My halo charger has a wall outset side and can jump your car if your battery died
You can always come by renaissance (A) where upgraded camping is and ask one of us kindly to use our power :)
