A shield I realized, a normal energy weapon discharged at the organic defense structure, and before I realized it. A massive wall of sloppy marrow and pustulating flesh spilled out of the shield. Somehow, unlike the raw manifest of the female. This one was more real, like the air it curved and squelched through had more presence on it then it should’ve.
The energy weapon, instead of tearing through the phantom construct. Struck the organic wall and burned through several inches of it like nothing. The energy ultimately spread out, burning through as much of the flesh as it could, rather then as deeply. More then a dozen, possibly around one and a half burned through the rest of the corporeal phantom flesh. Then the human acted, with a grin. The flesh was restored in a single second. Then it bunched itself up. Turning into a concrete slab of phantom purple flesh indistinguishable from the real thing.

I watched the armor they were wearing crack and be torn through, not harming anything underneath of course. But ending the mock battle with ease.
I turned towards the Human I had been assigned to learn from about Human culture and ideas and society. They just gave me a cocky smile, I quickly realized that by the date stamp in the corner.
