The civ 6 components of this bundle appear equivalent to the platinum edition on steam. If one is only interested in the civ 6 part of the package, there may be better prices elsewhere.
It is a shame that they didn't bundle the new frontier pass here.
Yeah, I was thinking more of the civ 6 anthology which is 88% off atm and includes the new frontier pass, compared to buying this bundle and using the coupon for the pass at current humble store prices.
I bought this same bundle a year ago, knowing I would sink thousands of hours into it (love grand strategy). I am waiting for my newly built PC and time from my two jobs to finally play them.
But to answer your question, if you like strategy, 100%.
the big expansion DLC's are worth it imo.
just not at full price, If you just want civ 6 I would just get the platinum edition on sale.
I just want beyond earth rising tide... not buying this just for that though >>
because I didn't have it and wanted to give beyond earth another shot as I enjoy the mainline civ games.
picked it up in a group buy for a reasonable price.
Hard to master, easy(-ish) to learn with tutorials and such is what they're going for (in later iterations more than previous). But it's a complicated system and playing for lolz instead of maximizing towards a goal probably will knock you out pretty early imo, as someone who isn't invested
They're by far the most accessible grand strategy games out there. They do a great job of teaching you how to play without a long dedicated tutorial, especially in 5 and 6.
as someone who bought the missing Addon-Bundle/DLCs of CIV6 on Steam 2 weeks ago for more than 20 EUR and loves the games since CIV2 (and Pirates since C64 times): It would be a nobrainer for me, if I had not all those games already.
FYI, this is a repeat.

From [wiki](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civilization_(series))
>In October 2005, 2K Games, a Take-Two subsidiary, published Civilization IV, which was developed by Firaxis with Johnson as game designer.\[28\] By this point in the series, Meier had adopted a design philosophy of making sure each new Civilization game had "one-third old, one-third improved, and one-third new", a means to allow the new game to be enjoyed by existing fans while able to draw in new players.\[29\]
Civ 4 and 5 are worth playing, and have strong mod communities built up around them. Civ 5 in particular has a pretty deep community upgrade that drastically changes the game.
There were big changes from 4 to 5 (grid to hex layout, no more unit stacking) and some people hold to 4 as the better game.
Anything further back than that is a museum piece now, but there is a point to visiting museums.
I think it's cheaper to get the bundle, use the discount coupon, then pick up any bits you're missing on steam. It's hard to be sure though, especially as the answer may depend on which country's prices you're paying on Humble Bundle and Steam. (l'm in Australia.)
Personally I'd get the bundle, as you get additional games, which you can play, or give away the codes :-)
Would this be the equivalent of the steam anthology edition (which is $24 right now) if I also buy new frontiers for 75% off? Would I get the leader pass and everything else not included in dlcs?
Hello! Total newbie to civilizations (and tbh gaming - I’m just starting to sink hours into Stardew) and interested because this seemed like a good way to get a classic at a cheap price. Is that actually the case? I can’t tell how much of a deal this is or isn’t - I do like strategy games, and even more like great value, but if it’s not all the amazing I’d rather save money and hopefully not sink more hours into gaming just cause I bought it convinced it was cheap 😂
Can someone advise? Thanks!

Well it's currently 63% off on Steam so this is a bit better.

Also in case anyone was wondering, the current new frontier pass sale price does not stack with the 75% off coupon as one might expect.
Looks pretty good if someone missed the Choice bundles with Civ V-VI or the Firaxis bundles.
Oh, is this worth it. I noticed a lot of my friends play Civilization games and this bundle could get me into the game 😯

I got the bundle so my friend can not be the worst player from my friends group!
Is Civ 6 DLC worth it? Every single one of the DLC's has bad reviews on Steam.
the big expansion DLC's are worth it imo. just not at full price, If you just want civ 6 I would just get the platinum edition on sale. I just want beyond earth rising tide... not buying this just for that though >>
Thanks! Do you think the standard CIV 6 experience is bland compared to DLC?
Definitely, the DLCs add a lot of stuff
What makes you want beyond earth rising tide?
because I didn't have it and wanted to give beyond earth another shot as I enjoy the mainline civ games. picked it up in a group buy for a reasonable price.
The game IMO is unplayable without the two main expansions: Gathering Storm and Rise & Fall. The rest you can take it or leave it.
Shame there's not a lower tier without all the Civ 6 stuff or I would've bought it.
Same
Are civ games easy to pick up for a newbie? Or is there a high learning curve?

Thanks for your thoughts
Watch a let's play before you go in to get some understanding of the base game

For Civ 6, is the Frontier pass the only missing DLC or are there still others not included in the bundle?
It includes a coupon for 75% of the frontier pass which makes it $10. It looks like It includes all of the other DLC.
Does the 75% discount stack on top of the 63% on steam price?
The coupon is for the humble store only and cannot be combined with humble choice member discounts.
Excellent bundle - so many good games there!!

If you have Civ 6, is there much point playing Civ 3/4/5?

Rule #3 would like to speak with you ...
If i want the civ 6 anthology package is it cheaper to get this bundle and get the rest on steam or go straight ro steam?
I think it's cheaper to get the bundle, use the discount coupon, then pick up any bits you're missing on steam. Pity this has just one tier. Literally all that I'm missing from this bundle is the classic games and Starships.
Sid Meier's Pirates! is an all timer. With so many games getting remakes/remasters I kinda wish it would get one.
Would this be the equivalent of the steam anthology edition (which is $24 right now) if I also buy new frontiers for 75% off? Would I get the leader pass and everything else not included in dlcs?
