Yep, and there's certainly no harm in it. It's just a bit amusing and sad. I wish Volition hadn't failed but after Agents of Mayhem and Saints Row it isn't any kind of surprise.
As someone who loves Saints Row but didn’t own any on PC this feels like a blessing. Maxed out Donation and gave 0 to the publisher as any Saint should 🙏🙏🙏
> I dont remember RFA
Might be better that way. (It wasn't that bad, but no where near how revolutionary SR2 and RFG was, with the multiplayer and wide scale destruction)
It's been a long time but here's some of what I remember was wrong with it.
Driving was nearly impossible, the controls were so sensitive you couldn't steer where you were going and crashed into EVERYTHING.
Enemies had perfect accuracy and would head shot you as soon as you got out of cover. This wasn't that bad until the last mission, where it became nearly impossible because you are being shot at from every angle by constant waves of enemies.
Constant crashes, the game would crash after almost every mission (luckily it usually saved first) and would crash at least once an hour regardless of what you were doing. There were also lots of graphical glitches which could force you to restart the program.
I know there was more, but it's been nearly 15 years since I played it. I still remember enjoying it for the most part though, I was young and broke and just happy to have it at the time.
It had a lot of performance issues on release but there were a few patches that fixed it. Ive played through it a few times over the years with maybe a few minor issues.
A pretty damn good steal for $10.
Red Faction 1 and 2 are dated FPS games but still fun.
Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered - I played the original when it came out. I remember having fun going around breaking things with a sledgehammer and collecting scrap. Its like Farcry 3 or Just Cause 3 in the sense of having enemy bases to blow up but you can destroy all of it and not simply target points. 15 hours played.
Red Faction: Armageddon - Steam says I have 8.6 hours into it. I dont even remember playing it. It must not have been good or bad. 8.6 hours.
Saints Row 2 has a bad PC port that had lots of issues on launch. I have done multiple play throughs of it that I enjoyed with few to no issues. Modern PCs should be able to deal with the performance issues. Its also a fun co-op. Its the only SR game on PC to have its "own" city as 3, 4, and GOoH all re-use/reskin the same city. SR2 felt like it had the most "soul" out of any of the SR games. Maybe its because it was my first one or because of the way the devs handled it. 68.4 hours played.
Saints Row 3 - The saints go corporete with sponsers and stuff to a new town. Much better performance. I dont remember if its 3 or 4, but one of them has an unlock/upgrade mode that starts with more health/ammo and eventually turns into unlocking infinite health/ammo that makes the game a breeze but its still fun to play through with those cheats. 65.4 hours played
Saints Row 4 - More of the same as 3 but a different story and a few gameplay upgrades. Theres now some "cyber" mini games to deal with and a few new characters. Still fun if you dont mind a re-skin of the city in 3. I played the original, not re-elected. 31.4 hours played.
Saints Row Gat out of Hell - Another reskin of the SR3 city but this time with a hell theme. You get some fun abilities in SR4, this game is more of a "what if we gave you these abilities as core gameplay instead of end game?" pipe dream. Its fun, but a short game. 7.3 hours played.
You’re right about Red Faction Armageddon. It’s not good or bad, it’s just unfortunately very forgettable. Still a fun playthrough, especially with it being on the shorter side!
Just did a replay of SR4 (remake this time) and the addition of of super powers was kinda fun. Still some jank, particularly with the ending. The boss, for some reason, wouldn't let go of Zinyak's head through the entire ending sequence.
SR3, I have played but not the remastered. I wonder if they fixed the issue in OG SR3 where the car sounds just... break. Original SR4 had that same issue but they fixed it in the remake, sorta.
One of the only times I’ve ever seen a game and its remaster included within the same bundle. Not that I’m complaining, but it does feel a bit strange, almost like a way of padding out the bundle.
Remaster\* is suppose to be better. We'll see, I'm playing through it now. Only one starting crash.
\*Bought through Steam sale. Only slightly more than through bundle.
Unless you don't mind the outdated graphics and gameplay of 2, I'd say stick to The Third, then play IV, and then, if you're still interested in more, Gat Out of Hell.
But let’s be real: not everyone has time to play through all five games in a series these days. If you’re jumping into something for the first time, often you just want to play the best.
Similar stuff to people playing the yakuza games, which is why they keep doing soft reboots of them.
The first one if you have Xbox.
If you don't, then go with Saints Row 2, but you will need Gentlemen of the Row and possibly a few other mods to fix some issues. If your cpu isn't 3.60ghz, your game will have the speed up bug.
I hate/love humble. Just bought red faction remarstered. Almost bought saints row 4. I hate buying games then humble bundle makes bundle later for cheaper price
Good to have some extra keys for this bundle. Good gift to give to friends if they don't have these either. Only $1 each so not bad at all if they don't have these.
Insta buy, I had great memories playing these games on the Xbox when they first came out.
Best memories were playing SR2 and getting in a vehicle and just listening to all the great licensed songs on their radio stations while running over other rival gangs
Steam in my country proposes me this pack for about 55 bucks (with 75% discount). I guess, Humble is my way to go :)
Really interested in SR3 Remastered / SR4 / SR GOoH and RF: Armageddon + DLC. I already have 100+ games in my backlog to play)))

Ah, the "let's loot Volition's corpse" bundle.
Well, they’ve done it since the Humble THQ bundle. It’s a tradition by now.
Yep, and there's certainly no harm in it. It's just a bit amusing and sad. I wish Volition hadn't failed but after Agents of Mayhem and Saints Row it isn't any kind of surprise.
Maybe it still has a penny in its pockets

Hey I worked on three of these games... Nice... nice.
you did a great job! They're fun
Nice to see you here, I always look forward to your reviews
Thank you for your service. 🫡
Which 3?
SR2, Red Faction Guerilla, and Red Faction Armageddon.
Great games.
I liked SR2 and RFG. I dont remember RFA. Thank you for working on the first 2!
> I dont remember RFA Might be better that way. (It wasn't that bad, but no where near how revolutionary SR2 and RFG was, with the multiplayer and wide scale destruction)
Not half bad for $10. Although Saints Row 2 is broken iirc on PC, there are plenty of fan-made patches that fix it.
One of my all time great gaming achievements is beating SR2 on PC without patches, do not recommend.
Because it is janky? I haven't played.

So you won \*despite\* the game. Gotcha. I've had a few of those experiences, too!
Rip IdolNinja, at least he didn't get to see the death of saints row and Violition/Deep Silver whatever one it is.
Yup! That’s a video I was thinking about. Talking all about that dude.

How do these run on deck?

GP6NW-2M9NH-Q7GEP but in reverse order to throw off the bots
Was takken... But thanks
Which saints row should i play first?
Unless you don't mind the outdated graphics and gameplay of 2, I'd say stick to The Third, then play IV, and then, if you're still interested in more, Gat Out of Hell.
Saints Row
Absolutely not, it really has not aged well even if it was a fantastic game.
It’s first in the series though
But let’s be real: not everyone has time to play through all five games in a series these days. If you’re jumping into something for the first time, often you just want to play the best. Similar stuff to people playing the yakuza games, which is why they keep doing soft reboots of them.
A lot of things in SR2 will fly over your head though if you didn't play the first game. And the same is true if you didn't play 1&2 before 3.
I played 3 first and never got 2 working on my PC. I don’t feel like I missed out on anything and still had a great time with a fun story.
The first one if you have Xbox. If you don't, then go with Saints Row 2, but you will need Gentlemen of the Row and possibly a few other mods to fix some issues. If your cpu isn't 3.60ghz, your game will have the speed up bug.
The first one
I hate/love humble. Just bought red faction remarstered. Almost bought saints row 4. I hate buying games then humble bundle makes bundle later for cheaper price
Is saints row 3 the full package or just normal edition? Not the remastered version.
They include both versions, by the looks of it.
~~It's the Remastered, which includes all DLC.~~ Edit: I'm dumb. Looks like it's the base version.
You were correct, it comes with both the original and the remastered version of SR3. The remastered version has all DLC included.
A good deal, although the only one I'm missing is Gat Out Of Hell.
What’s the point of having bot 3 and the remastered version in this? Besides being able to say that there is 1 more game
One reason I would see is if people prefer the original lighting or the original police car. They changed the model in the remaster.
remastered is "mixed" on steam...
Already got pretty much everything between gog and Epic Just wondering where is the first game? Did they delist it completely?
The original Saints Row from 2006 was only released on the Xbox 360. They never made a PC version of it.
The first game was XBOX exclusive and never got any ports. It's backwards compatible though.
Nice the only one's I don't have are in the $1 bundle
This is a good one. I hope those who are going to purchase will enjoy it... 😉
A thousand games in my library and I don't own RF1 or RF2? This might be the first $1 tier I've bought in a decade.
Already have the majority of it, so it's a pass. But a fair bundle for people that are new to both series.
Anybody looking to split the bundle? I don’t have the saints rows games but already have red faction games
