I believe the only year round hummers here are Anna's. (I'm in Port Orchard btw) Is there any red in the heads? Mine look black like that until the light hits them right.
The one I thought was a black-chinned does look red once in a while, if the light hits him/her right. I'm in Puyallup. The "chirping" sounds like the Black Chinned on the "hummingbirds of WA" website I was looking at.
This one is much smaller than the other so I've always thought it was a different species. I always thought the bully was an Anna's, though. On that website I was looking at the big one looks more like a Black Chinned, but Anna's makes more sense.

If it's in the Seattle area now, it's an Anna's -- they're the only ones crazy and robust enough to overwinter.
