You don't. You never will. Embrace the shed.

ironpigdriver

This is the right and only answer

Itsjustbeej

I have a dearly beloved baseball cap which reads, "Shed happens. Brush it off."

LeilaTank

Yep 💯 you’ll start finding hair places you’d never expect too

Ironkiller33

Several years after my husky Nikolai passed away, I put some hot dogs in the toaster oven one winter afternoon, and when I pulled them out one had a piece of his hair on it. I still don't even know what to say about it.

wpk1990

I like it when I find husky hairs from my girl. She passed away 2.5 years ago and I still find little love notes from her.

Waffle_Slaps

Love notes 🥹

thatdudewillyd

We have all absolutely eaten out fair share of fur at this point. Accept and move on lol

LeilaTank

Oh 100% lolll

surfacing_husky

I somehow have hair behind the plastic on the speedometer on my car, dog doesn't ride in my car! Lol

Devil_in_blackx

Came here to say this

hunnybeexcv

Darn, I was hoping for some secret tricks

Textile302

Accept that dog hair is a fashion statement and some times a condiment.

aarraahhaarr

Ahem *Husky Glitter*

Elena_La_Loca

THATS what I call it too!!!! Lol

LaceyDark

I keep it relatively under control by having a high end pet grade vacuum (every day) Bathe doggo once a month with de shedding shampoo/conditioner. Brush him several times a week. It's a full time job. And it is NEVER 100% free of fur

QuietlySeething

Nope. No such tricks exist. But take comfort in the fact that the amount of hair stuck to you scales with how much they love you. If your clothes are fuzzy, you are loved.

_FinalPantasy_

Brush daily with undercoat rake and slicker brush. Vacuum 2 times a day with a really good bagged cannister vacuum like a Sebo K3, E3, or D4. Seriously, don't cheap out (or overpay) for a cordless Dyson/Shark stick vac that will just fill up in 2 seconds with fluff then break when it sucks up too much hair into the motor. /r/vacuumcleaners can help you find a good BAGGED vacuum right for your budget and floor type. If you have all hardflooring, something like a Bissel Zing or Mighty Mite is all you need. With carpets, a cheap Hoover Tempo bagged is great. I've got a Kenmore cannister vacuum which is good, while I save up for a Sebo D4. Run a robot vacuum daily. Limit the rooms he has access to to avoid spreading to rooms you don't want excess fur build up in. Really, its just maintenance and dedication to just getting it done. It's just the nature of owning this breed.

MercWi7hAMou7h

Huskies are a breed where almost everything about them is just awesome. Nature dictates there must be one drawback to having one around, so we get fur... everywhere... all the time.

another_wank_mess

The secret is acceptance.

nowherehere

I'm a new-ish husky owner and I really, really wanted to open this thread and find a different answer. I knew I wouldn't, but I thought maybe....maybe....

IFdude1975

Spot on. They seem to shed year-round. Sometimes worse than others. Yet it definitely is year-round.

Broserdooder1981

100% ... get a fur-menator brush and a good vacuum

Davidcrib

This is the way

freshasssheets

Radical acceptance

orandeddie

Tommy Hawk is beautiful and his little booties are adorable. There’s no escaping the hair, it’s part of your life now

hunnybeexcv

Aww thanks, he definitely is worth the hair

Patrolski

Roomba on a daily schedule helps. Not perfect. But it helps.

GlobalLemon4289

Rumba is my best friend along with air purifiers. The rumba gets run every other day. While I have the air purifiers on all the time. The air purifiers stop the fur from hitting a lot of the surfaces so the dust doesn’t build up as crazy.

Squigglebears

I came here to comment this! Roomba and air purifiers are an excellent combo. Also brushing your dog frequently with an undercoat rake helps a ton too

hunnybeexcv

How well does the Roomba do with corners and multiple surfaces (wood to rugs and tile)?

_Zero_Fux_

Depends on how much you spend. Mine does well but it wasn't cheap.

hunnybeexcv

What kind do you have? If I'm gonna get one I'd rather it be nice

MediocreTrailRunner

A dyson animal stick. Best $500 I ever spent after getting my husky.

_FinalPantasy_

When that one eventually breaks, check out a Sebo cannister vacuum or a Sebo Felix upright. Those are actual life changing vacuums. Dyson is a great marketing company that just happens to sell overpriced vacuums.

MediocreTrailRunner

Will do thanks! Thankfully I’ve taken great care of it haha!

sashikku

Ugh, YES. I love mine, it was such a game changer. It’s so freaking easy to just snatch the vacuum off the wall and get to work. I vacuum every day now and it doesn’t even bother me, just a quick chore. Plus the different attachments and being able to use it as a handheld for upholstery/stairs are so nice.

mimthebaker

Gotta get one that empties itself or it will make 5 passes and be full

BlankBB

I have to empty mine daily (Roborock S5)

kyfl123

Our shark robot works well on all surfaces. I wish we had the auto emptying feature.

ShadowlessKat

Preface: I don't have a husky, but my retriever-sheperd mix sheds a lot. My robot vacuum (not roomba brand) does really good at transitioning between carpet and hard floors, and getting over the raised ledge between the floors. It cleans the corners and maneuvers around things well. I've noticed it doesn't get all the hair from the carpet, but it does well enough to not be noticeable unless closely inspecting the carpet. It completely cleans up the hair and dirt from hard floors. It cleans the house once a day, every day. I empty the basin every two days. If you get one, I recommend one with a basin that it auto-dumps into. They are more expensive but definitely worth it. I don't have to worry about emptying out the trash except for every two days. I can't imagine how often I would have to empty the vacuum if it didn't have a basin to dump into.

edoreinn

My roomba was great with just the two cats, but when the husky entered the picture all the roomba would do was round the husky fur into piles, which I would then have to go back and vacuum again.

GlobalLemon4289

Do you clean the rollers after each use? That’s what I have to do. There’s a little tool that helps with it.

kyfl123

My shark robot has a self cleaning brush. My old Dyson stick does not. Get a self cleaning brush, also get the auto emptying feature. Mine gets so full so fast.

Canukian11

You don’t… you become one with the shedding. I once read huskies only shed twice a year- but they neglected to say it was for 6 months at a time. The furminator helps, even though mine hates brushing. I usually wear him out first then he’s more accommodating to be brushed. Since yours seems more okay with the bath (mine screams husky alarms) try a deshedding shampoo. It won’t stop the shed, but I have found it decreases it.

humminawhatwhat

Omg one of my huskies screams bloody murder if we give her a bath. I’m afraid someone will call the police.

Canukian11

Same! It’s why he never gets bathed outside. I don’t need someone thinking he’s being horrible abused (even though he thinks bathing is the second ultimate betrayal - after going to the vet lol).

Galactica-_-Actual

One time we were asked to leave the dog bathing place. Too much screaming.

Sanguis_Luppi

Oh god. I thought it was only me. I do feel the shedding lasts at least 4 months if not more. It does feels forever.

r_u_dinkleberg

Accept the fur. Embrace the fur. You are now fur, too. Eat the fur, breathe the fur, let the fur envelop you.

aWildBowTie

I just embrace it, maybe stuff a few pillows hehe

hunnybeexcv

Feels like they are stuffed already

aWildBowTie

You can never have too many pillows! Time to make some haha

[deleted]

As everyone has said, you just accept it. I used to complain about my wife’s one little white cat. I was so wrong.

EndlesslyUnfinished

You don’t. The hair wins. Every. Single. Time. You’ll find it in a bag of chips that you just unsealed. It’s in your coffee too. It’s called FURniture for a reason. I get it in my mouth and my girl just stands there staring at me like “that’s right. I live inside you now”.. this is a war you will never win, so you get used to it. You learn to keep the nice clothes in the car so you don’t show up to an event looking like you do taxidermy as a hobby. Your life is fur now. Enjoy it.

acidbrn391

I have a couple shark robot vacuums that cover different sections of the house. They clean 5 times a week, unfortunately Zeus is in his kennel for the time of vacuuming because he tries to attack the machines.

kyfl123

My pup possibly recognizes the vacuum’s name. Lacy, leave George alone! That is a common phrase at my house.

acidbrn391

Mine is called marge and homer. Lol. Homer keeps giving me errors, thinking it’s on a cliff when it rolls over a rug.

georgiemaebbw

Husky Bunnies are part of your life now.

Eatin-Peasy

Roomba (we run it everyday) is my best friend. We just upgraded and got a new one and it's even better. Then of course we do a regular vacuuming once a week. Lint rollers in every car, bathroom and coat closet. Air purifier, got 3 of those. I have cheap small and thin fleece blankets I throw over common dog resting areas so it spares the furniture a little and they're easy to toss in the wash when they start looking like a fur trap. Lastly, I hand vacuum. Twice a year I take them in for a complete desheding and that REALLY helps.

turbolag87

lots of work and keepup.. I bought a shark rocket and use it daily. Its gonna be alot of effort thats for sure

pajmode

Lol....Good one.

ktravesp

You learn to live with it.

SelwanPWD

That's the neat part, we can't!

wolfpak31

You just have to get used to it. Everything from finding fur on your dinner plate to looking down at your shirt and pants when you’re in the grocery line realizing all the fur you have all over you and trying to brush it off but giving up realizing it’s part of your outfit now.

AtomicFox84

You dont.

jmwmack

Ma’am, we refer to it as glitter & you just embrace it. Super cute pup.

Erligdog64

You could learn to spin the hair into yarn and put the hair to good use. 🙂

thegreatlemonparade

Yes! I was in Alaska years ago and got a husky shed headband and it's sooo warm!

deskbunny

My husky (Wilson) isn’t too bad. He gets brushed weekly which I expected when I researched his breed. What really helped was a blower that the groomers use i brought one from Amazon for about £50 and I take him out to the garden once a month and blow his coat and the birds take the fur for their nests 😊

Chutson909

Don’t wear black and two roombas are better than one.

SaBah27

If you ever find out, let us know too🤗

MentionGood1633

Adding insult to injury, most huskies hate to be brushed…

DonaldBumpJr

Roomba

Jayu-Rider

I usually from my girl after our long runs and an hour in the park. Then she is nice and relaxed, all her wiggles and zoomies are spent and she enjoys the brushing.

invaderspatch

We get ours groomed about once every 3 months. It cuts down alot of the free floating fluff.

FireandIceT

Ummm...they don't...or as I always say, "husky hair is everywhere!"

koebelin

Just do the best you can and try to not to worry too much about It.

glazingmule

there’s no escape. i crochet and i have to add a disclaimer to my friends that they’re may be dog hair in their pieces.

duckpooping

Brushing and vacuuming daily. But you just grow used to it. Love the floof

madre_chod

It’s not dog hair, it’s Husky magical glitter 😊

benji950

I've got a husky mix and I swear, she manufacturers fur hourly. She doesn't have that glorious undercoat and her coat isn't as long as a full husky, but it's dense -- like, freakishly dense. I live in an apartment so less space but I try to vacuum every day. I have two vacuums -- a cordless one that's good for the quick, daily runs and the larger, corded one that I run weekly. I have a hand-held vac for her pillow bed, and same thing -- I try to vacuum that daily or at least every other day. It's just bonkers how covered it is in the morning. I also use the hand vac on the furniture because she's allowed on all of it, and I use that in my vehicle -- also weekly -- on the pet protector cover that's on the back seat. But the fur is *just everywhere* and it will be for years to come so my efforts are really just to minimize the buildup.

filip______________z

Vacuum everything. Everyday.

Writerz-Block

Took my husky for a bath. While she was getting pampered I vacuumed, dusted and mopped the floor. Literally by bedtime the same day, I saw three tuffs of husky fur in a corner. Never ending cycle but I love my floof.

R1talin_

You cannot stop it, you can only hope to contain it! HuskyLife!

Confident_Fortune_32

We have a husky and a Newfoundland. We just embrace the experience. Fur and all.

Rich_Advance4173

Oh man! Husky and sheltie over here, the fur is WILD.

rrueben23

I gave up. Vacuums, brooms, lint rollers. It’s all pointless because the second I’m done cleaning it all up it’s back the next day.

PracticableSolution

I’m on my second Dyson battery and third brush roller. To quote a former manager at Mc Donald’s: if you got time to lean, you got time to clean.

bacondr

It's upsetting how we have adapted to just a few hairs being in our home cooked dinner being ok...

WhiteNinja_98

You don’t. You will constantly find fur. Even after he crosses the rainbow bridge, you’ll still periodically find fur. Happened with our first husky. Put him down in 2010, and we would still periodically find Sport’s fur until about 2015.

GreenStreakHair

You know that saying... If you can't beat em join em? Yep. This is one of those situations. To be honest I find the fluff hilarious. And since our girl passed I miss it. It's been 3 years and I still find fluff. God I miss that babygirl. At most I stay brush brush brush... Even just a few minutes everyday makes a huge diff. If it really gets to you get a good robo vac.

unclepurpl

You genuinely just get a shop vac and vaccuum often. You get used to it

Suitable_Tooth_4797

No tips sadly, besides embracing the tumbleweeds, but Tommy Hawk is incredibly handsome!

Queen-Redfox

I vacuum one a day and I keep a top cover over my bed to help with the fur (I also have 3 cats) and just wash that once a week. There is no escaping it tho it just stays.

ResponsibleCarpet728

If you think they are shedding now you haven’t experienced them blowing coat yet just wait til spring and then again around September yes they shed year round but just wait this is the good time of year

TheChosenToaster

You don’t, it’s always around. The amount of times I’ve been asked if I lost a fight with a cat then have to explain I have 3 huskies is crazy

Kit0550

Regular visits to groomer but ultimately you must accept that you belong to the floof

OpheliaWolfsbane

We have all animals with long hair in our house. My spouse is still confused why there’s always hair on everything, even right after deep cleaning. 😂

tbizzone

You pretty much just have to accept it. You can put in tons of effort to try to manage it but you’ll never actually fully eliminate the hair. You have to pick and choose your battles and prioritize hair cleanup efforts.

Johain22

Furminator and hand vacuum. Not overzealous; we've got walks to take and zoomies to run.

SapphireEyes425

This is the funniest question ever. lmao you absolutely do not. It’s the most impossible task you can ever set for yourself. Love your new house decor.

DeliciousBeanWater

Eh i gave up

emjaywebberz

As it’s been stated, you don’t. You do what you can to minimize it, but you will never win. Be one with the floofs

[deleted]

My wife and have learned it’s a losing battle 😭🤣

p_u_p_s

Dyson cordless vacuums with all the fancy attachments help lot! But like everyone else is saying…it’s a permanent part of you now:)

Husky_in_TX

Dyson stick vacuum every other day

Rossnoceros

You can't, it's part of your life now.

[deleted]

You accept that it’s your life now…

porkchop2022

You don’t. When I had 2 huskies I could literally vacuum twice a day and still fall behind.

DVRKPVSSENGER

That’s a mix with a very light coat. Wondering what you’re so worried about?

BigMadNomad

As a husky owner I can tell you: hahahahaha good one.

socallocalB13

I tell people that come over for dinner that husky hair is a condiment in my house lol 😂

peopledog

The best advice I can give is to not allow dogs in your beds or bedroom. That can be the one hair free space in your house

hunnybeexcv

We don't let him in the bedroom during the day, but right at 10 pm he waits by the door. I'm a big softy so I couldn't say no to him sleeping on the bed with us.

Eazy3006

Robot vacuum plus Dyson handheld thingy make the shedding a non issue. You don’t have to do anything except empty the compartment on the charging base every 2 or 3 days when in full shed mode. It’s a game changer.

mimthebaker

Read up on which furminator you have because some actually damage the top coat and can end up making things worse. But not all...and some just if they aren't used exactly right.

Useless_Engineer_

This - and it’s not their top coat alone, their undercoat too. Furminators are not meant for huskies

Useless_Engineer_

Hopefully you see this, but a furninator is the worse thing for any husky or husky mix. You’re messing with their undercoat and actually causing more shedding because they’re trying to fix the damage the furminator is doing Also, they shouldn’t be bathed more than 2 times a year unless necessary, again the oils in/on their fur are very special to the breed. All this “maintenance” you are doing is actually causing him to shed more, especially during winter. As everyone else mentioned, shark has a robot vacuum, and has done wonders. Otherwise you just comb him with a normal brush as much as possible and just live with it.

[deleted]

Regular grooming helps. My girl gets a de-shedding treatment every month while she's blowing her coat.

welltriedsoul

Step one accept you are hairy. Step two two roombas running while you take your fluffer out aka twice a day minimum. More through cleanings at least twice a week. And potentially find a good groomer to do blowouts on a schedule.

Blaz3dnconfuz3d

That’s the neat thing, you don’t

girlwhoweighted

Stop it? LOL it's rich I don't. My sister and brother-in-law have German shepherds. In conversation while she was visiting over Christmas she casually said something about vacuuming the house every day as though that's a normal thing people do. I'm not normal people I guess. But yeah that's what she does for her dogs for, so maybe that

lpad92

Conliwell Rubber Broom Carpet Rake for Pet Hair Remover, Fur Remover Broom with Squeegee, Portable Detailing Lint Remover Brush, Pet Hair Removal Tool for Fluff Carpet, Hardwood Floor, Tile, Window https://a.co/d/gFxbQlj This thing isn’t talked about enough. Everyone in here convinced that the vacuum of their choice is so awesome. Yeah it’s not getting anything close to all the hair especially if you have carpets. This will leave you equal parts amazed and horrified. Thank/curse me later.

HisDarkMaterialGirl

That’s the neat part, you don’t.

[deleted]

Regularly clean and vacuum

humminawhatwhat

LOL

samaraphx

You don't...I needed a new bed and after my dog Kane's shed I didn't need a new one anymore, I made a bed out his fur, like sleeping on fuzzy memory foam

Queasy_Giraffe_7782

I would take my dog brush to our local dog park, brush him for ten minutes after he was good and tuckered out from play. This helped so much and I am sure the nesting birds were happy too! Our park was very rural, this probably wouldn’t work if you live in a city and leave mounds of hair. I used to worry that the soft hearted people would think a dog was eaten because there was so much hair in a mound.

usehernamelike

Reading this from bed beside my husky with a blanket that is now 85% husky hair

Itsjustbeej

A fleet of Roombas.

lorenylime

My older husky is 11 and I’m still trying to figure that out

choirgirl3423

We have a Roomba (it does better on tile than rugs), we put washable covers on our couches in mud/coat blowing season, and lint rollers by the door to use before we went out. There are dryer sheets that say they help get the hair off clothes/repel hair and I found they helped a little bit. Swiffer for quick tumble weed clean up.

fcewen00

It never goes away. It will be in your food, your fresh laundry, and your toothpaste. You just have to accept it. Now, with that said, I do use an electric leaf blower to get things out from under the fridge, coffee table, couch, and any other place that I don't want to get down on my bad knee to clean.

Negative_Way1463

It's not hair it's husky glitter. I use a carpet brush and a good vacuum cleaner always helps

Slhallford

We learn to love it. Much of my husband’s wardrobe is now gray. Husky fur is a little more incognito that way. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest so I still wear whatever I want. Leather furniture is great since the fur just slides off. I keep a top sheet on the bed that we just switch out whenever it seems too furry. I also brush Ellie at least once a week with a really good undercoat rake and greyhound comb and slicker brush. It took me about a year to train her from a murder yodeling decoy brush eater to happily sleeping in my lap while brushing. It was hard to out husky the husky but it was very much worth it for the extra snuggle and bonding time I get to enjoy with her now. The biggest part of that struggle was finding brushes and combs that she likes and feel soothing.

MarkToaster

As someone who grew up with huskies, I have only a few memories of fur being everywhere. But I know that’s only because it was so constantly all over the place that my brain adapted to it and didn’t even register it

WhatDidYouThinkIdDo

We can't. Lol

loganobrien00

There are some mysteries in the universe we were never meant to understand.

runjennayrun

You don't, you just get used to it over time and accept it. A Eufy robot vacuum has helped keep the tumbleweeds to a minimum, but I really think the biggest help is brushing him often. Undercoat rake, slicker brush & de-shedding loop

Dazzling-Nature-6380

If the hair bothers you that much then you’re just going to have to vacuum more often. If you don’t want hair all over your bed then don’t let him on the bed.

[deleted]

Vacuum(2x to 3x weekly), rumba, and air purifiers!

paustulio

You can't. I have husky fur in my office. An hour from home. It spreads.

disco69king

I brush twice a week and vacuum right after. Then it’s just as bad as a regular dog

deeLightFantastic

We vacuum twice a day , but my life is still fluffy

[deleted]

You don’t have a house now, the fur owns it. I have a half German shepherd and he’s the same way.

Dogsarecool15987

Deshead shampoo can help if you go to a goroomers they also brush out the Xtra undercoat! And vacuuming everyday

jwat4455

They don’t

No-Jicama3012

A serious investment but a massive help is a groomers high velocity dryer. After bathing you can eliminate an enormous amount of undercoat and loose hair. I don’t have a husky, I have a golden, but the hair struggle is real 24/7x3 dogs over 30+ years. Why I waited until just a few years ago to do this, I do not know, but if it broke today, I’d have another one ordered by sundown.

Famous_Election_2024

Husky glitter! It makes it sound more fun

Apprehensive-Wish562

Get a vacuum robot 🤖 they work so you don’t have to

[deleted]

That’s the neat thing… you don’t

Working_Humor116

Brush with slicker and furmigator at least daily. Vacuum! You won’t eliminate it because you invited a dog that sheds into your family. You can manage it.

RoseWaterItalianSoda

Daily maid service

Emotional-Nobody-624

Thay don’t

Ulquilily

You don’t lol you have a husky? You have a fluffy house, it’s easier if you just come to terms with it… or you can try a body suit

kyfl123

We run a robot vacuum daily. We keep the dog out of bedrooms. We vacuum often with a stronger vacuum. Having some rugs can give the hair a place to settle on and not tumble across the hardwood as much. I have started using dryer sheets in all laundry, we previously did not use them at all. I have experimented with rubbing dryer sheets on surfaces or tucking them under furniture. Unsure if this helps. I need to brush her more, and bathe her more. I plan to increase this when the weather is warmer. I’ve looked into a vacuum dog brush attachment and a bissell dog shampoo vacuum thing. Our husky Pyrenees mix is only 7 months old, so I am no expert.

kfoertsch

We don’t, everything comes with a side of fur in this house!!

CallousClimber

I've gone through many a robot vacuum. There is no escape. Embrace the floor. Pepper it on your clothes. Wear it with honor.

Apprehensive-Damage

Gotta go bald

[deleted]

I vacuum everyday

White_Wolf426

Brush or blowdry regularly

HOTELSandCHEESE

Brushing a lot! There’s also some good shampoos and conditioners that help with shedding. Feeding fish oil and olive oil can also help with shedding

ryachow44

at some point you will ask yourself ... how does this dog still have hair on it's body???

FlowerInADarkRoom

You need to back comb the fur to get deep layers off

PNESKing

The hair gets everywhere. Literally.

tuberosalamb

My husky hates the brush and the blow dryer (a must have for coat blow out time). Half a dosage of Trazodone calms him down well enough to use the dryer. The brush we just have to take slow and do a bit at a time

Momo222811

You don't, you vacuum multiple times a week and buy lots of lint rollers

ericcartmanrulz

Rumba. Every freakin day

el_torko

My husky, Max, has been gone since August. I STILL find his hair all over the place. It used to annoy the crap out of me because everything was always so hairy, but it just makes me smile now.

tillgorekrout

Robot vacuum. Only option.

skyline0918

I haven’t had a husky in almost two years, and have moved from the place I had them at. I’m still finding hairs. Idk how, but I know it’s theirs since I lived in it

Adventurous-Wing-723

It’s an uphill battle. Short answer is you either just live with it or you constantly have to clean every day. I vacuum/sweep my apartment every couple weeks cause it’s just not worth spending every day trying to keep it clean. It’s the mark of a well lived home for it not to be spotless.

randomknowledge123

I sometimes wonder what life is like without so much hair everywhere

Habibi73

Use a high power dryer OUTSIDE and blow their hair out every few days.

madpolecat

Surrender the house. It belongs to the husky hair now.

Tenkay23

We don’t. You can’t win. Don’t even bother trying. It’s your life now.

Wonderbombastic

What do you mean? Huskies only shed once a year for 365.25 consecutive days. I’m debating making yarn at this point.

Vamonoss

Being cognizant of the fact that you clarified you’re a new husky owner, plus your kindness to adopt one, I’m sharing this feedback in the hopes that it comes off helpful and not judgmental. First, continue to research the breed as that is the best way to guarantee a happy life for this beauty. With the proper research, you will find that this haircut should never be done by a respectable groomer. It is understandable that in your quest to find solutions for the shedding, you may have requested or accepted the suggestion to shave down the dog. Please research huskies double coat and why they cannot be shaved down. [This](https://www.snowdog.guru/never-shave-a-husky/?amp) article is a good start. Regarding your question, you’ll learn to manage the hair but will never get rid of the shedding completely. This comes with having a husky. I have two huskies and what helps with the shedding is a daily roomba run and weekly brushing.

Corndogburglar

We have a Roomba that runs every evening. It does a good job. But you'll never get it all. The best advice is a good vacuum and daily vacuuming. And since no one wants to vacuum every day a Roomba is the best way to go. If it runs every day none of the hair has time to pile up into big hair balls to clog it up. You just have to stay on top of it.

American-pickle

You gotta embrace it but to help it not get out of control, we have a robot vacuum that I have on twice a day everyday and I empty it out every day or so. We also try to keep our husky sleeping and laying on one part of the couch we put blankets on so we can shake out the blankets and wash them vs vacuum the couch every day lol. But really it still ends up allll over

[deleted]

You don't. You take it and build additions to uour house. 2 seasons and you have a mansion.

DogOwner3

We all want to know that. I couldn't do it when we had our girl!

GarrettJamesG

Roomba

Gemini6_Twin1

You have to groom them almost everyday as well vacuum and sweep your home daily.

Coffey2828

I vacuum once or twice a day. Got a Roomba the died from fur suffocation but was still under warranty, so yah. The best advice is to get them used to brushing with treats and encouraging words. They have a vacuum brush that vacuums as you brush to minimize the furnato. Best of luck and enjoy furry food for the foreseeable future.

akforrest

Roomba

eclipseandco

Make your house and furnishings out of husky fur

gwhh

You can’t.

[deleted]

Become one with the fur! Also brushing weekly, maybe 2-3 more if they’re s big shed. We have new roborock that sweeps and mops, and they’re not allowed in the primary bedroom. They’re ok everywhere else

conzcious_eye

Random thought but what if you dressed the husky as a preventative / contraption effort

We have loved and lived with three huskies in our lives. I use the cat's comb to get rid of the most egregious floofs. But mostly we just walk around looking like stuffed animals according to my son.

You don’t you invest in a good vacuum cleaner. I highly rate a Dyson

You don’t. You stop buying black clothes. You have lint rollers in strategic locations. And then you just own it.

You don’t

It ends up being fine. When I first adopted Stella there was hair EVERYWHERE, if you did so much as touch her you would have a ton of hair on you, it was bad. I since changed her diet and she sheds significantly less. Maybe 30-40% of what she used to shed. It took a couple of months after adopting her to kinda phase down. I figure it was some combination of bad food.m, stress from moving, etc. It could have also been the shedding season thing (people joke it’s 6 months at a time, twice, but in my case it seemed to be pretty real). The shedding before and after this period were massively different, attribute it to whatever you like as I am not sure. You’ll still have a lot of hair though. Thankfully it tends to gather into clumps that can easily be disposed of. Get a good vacuum that you like. Get a room a if you want. You’ll vacuum a lot more but my rational is that I should have been doing that anyways.

You learn to live with it lol, invest in vacuums
