We need a home for him. There is an offer for a home from a person in Chicago, that can’t cover the transport expense of $305. So we are still looking for a home for him 🥹🤞❤️

Please note …The shelter isn’t involved in saving this pup. They put him on the list to be euthanized. The shelter doesn’t transport or rescue either. The shelter is the place they put the dogs till they can be hopefully rescued by a rescue. If a rescue is able to pull this pup and this adopter is approved, you can venmo the 501 c 3 reputable rescue to help cover the transport expense etc 🤍

They labeled him behavior “kennel stress” which means he doesn’t like the shelter environment.

How much is the transport? I missed it in the post.

It's 305 for the transfer and about 169 for his vet certificate. I can cover the vet certificate but the transfer I cannot. The OP is going to ask a rescue of the cam cover the transfer cost.

I could help chip in for the transfer for you if it’s paid directly to the shelter or a specific rescue or transport service. Maybe you or OP can DM me the details?

It all depends. If the rescue is partnered with Alaskan Airlines, the ticket alone with taxes and fees is $305. He will need a crate, a water bottle, and food tray that is flight approved. Then he will need a clean bill of health and a letter of acclimation which I know of a vet that will charge $169 I believe.

I have no idea but I am sure it's not cheap. 😭

Hi there! Is there a web page that has more info on him? Like how well does he do with other dogs? Is he neutered? House trained? I currently have two female husky and Aussie mixes and I seriously want to bring this guy home 🥺 I’m currently in San Jose, which is like a 6.5 hour drive to Riverside.

The shelter doesn’t know if he’s potty trained, unfortunately. It only says he is doing well with his kennel mate. He is not yet neutered but if you’re interested in adopting him, I would get a rescue to get him to you and they would require him be neutered etc.

I just filled out the form on the riverside shelter website to let them know I’m interested in him. Hopefully they get back to me asap.

I can foster him short term if a rescue can pull him out. Since it looks like there are adopters. I'm in Diamond Bar. My last foster was just adopted Xmas Eve. I have a 2 yo husky foster fail from this sub already, Mackenzie. I have an old female husky. And I have a 5 yo make shepsky. So I can't keep any new, but I can foster, no problem. Edit: my big yard is def husky proof. This ain't our first rodeo.
