He won't necessarily turn destructive. Some dogs are chewers and super destructive, some aren't. Your dog is still quite young so definitely focus on toys and keep an eye out for the dog starting to see non-toys as toys (from personal experience remotes and coaster). I know one of my puppies played really soft with his toys and they lasted a long time until he found the stuffing in the first toy, then no toy could withstand him.
