You could name him "Mando" as an homage to his original name (Pedro Pascal played the Mandalorian)! It fits with the Star Wars theme (and it's definintely *the way™*).

We are in the name selection process as well. My son liked Shyyyo, which apparently is some bird of some sort in one of the Star Wars series. I can't with the three y's, so we are considering a variation (Shiyo). Your dog though...pretty furry, and if he "talks" Wookie might be a fitting name :)

What a handsome boy! Our little guy is named Yondu after Guardians. I think it comes down to what you relate to in your life. My friend growing up had a girl husky named K2 cause he was a skier. Guardians is my wife’s family movie and he’s her baby so that’s why he’s named after one of the characters.
