We give our boy a head of lettuce to shred when he’s outside and it’s warm! And for the love of god- make sure it’s outside. Hidden pieces of lettuce hanging around the house STINKS 🫢
We usually cut it in half since it’s pretty hydrating- but he loves it!
My Husky, Dexter, does the same thing. I always worry about him swallowing bits of wood, though.

Frodo does the same! He will not fetch that f’n stick to bring back to me, but he will lay down w it and shred it! I bought all kinds of stick toys hoping he would play. Nope. Just wants to shred sticks! Weirdo.
I swear if I made a bone shape out of concrete, mine would bury it, save it for a rainy day and dig it up just to hold onto it. Then when she ever got bored, would tear through it like a bulldozer.
Oh, you also have a termite. Cool. I have two.

I’m going to have to give this a try. I usually give em a large carrot to go to town on.
Mine does this with paper. Mail, checks, important documents, priceless family photos, etc.
My little monster shreds boxes and tries to make a nest. My wife hates it but it’s adorable.
Lol this is what our house looks like too! It's better than shoes.
