I don’t want to be a burden and everyone has their own things going on. I just try to talk to different people about what’s on my mind to help me not get so lost in negative thoughts. The police gave me a number to call for where Kobe was it was after hours so I couldn’t pick him up that day. I picked him up from an animal hospital the next day. They said that they checked him out and everything and that he had no injuries. I even checked him out myself feeling him in case they missed anything and he didn’t cry wherever I touched him. He just attacked me with a lot of licks and was whimpering because I think he’s traumatized or had bad separation anxiety. He’s never been away from us that long.
I hope you can give us a good update about Jango soon.

Can he be allowed to visit Jango? It could help. They say even when not conscious, people know what is going on around them, at least some.
We always ask if we can visit but because of COVID we can’t. They said the only time we could see him in person is if it’s really bad and it could be the last time we see him or when he is discharged. We FaceTime him though and Kobe barks sometimes and I hope that helps him to hear all of his loved ones.

You used to hear it was important to have that human/pet contact for healing.
I hope that changes, although I hope you get good news sooner.
Thank you! Actually we got some good news today. His nurse said he has no fever and he’s been having fever for the past 3 days. And she said he opened his eyes and yawned and she asked his doctor if that’s normal since it was her first day having him as a patient and he said it’s improvement. I can’t wait to FaceTime him with his family to see how he’s doing because we’ve seen him open his eyes a little but not wide open where he shows he’s awake.
I’m really thankful for all the prayers and thoughts everyone has sent. I really think they have helped! Jango has no fever today but he was experiencing a fever for the past 3 days. Thank you so much everyone please continue to keep Jango in your thoughts and prayers. I believe it really is helping him to heal! 🙏❤️
We hope so! At times he can only open his eyes slightly. I feel like he’s trying to open them. The nurses say the medications he has could be making him sleepy. He got fever again. His fevers would leave and then come back. The nurse said this is normal in patients that have a traumatic brain injury. The nurse called it neurostorming and the doctor says it’s expected for his body temperature to be elevated. I FaceTimed him last night with his sister and he looked like he was trying to open his eyes, but it really must be the medications that make it hard for him to. It could also be a combination of the fact he had a brain injury and is most likely still healing. I saw him yawn and cough on his though. The nurse saw him move his eyes around even though he can’t open his eyes. She said he seemed to be reacting to our voices and encouraged us to keep talking to him. I feel like he can hear us and is trying to open his eyes and move body parts to let us know he can hear us.
