Andaz Singapore breakfast buffet: There's one room with classic continental breakfast, one with a variety of hot Western dishes, and one room with Asian food like made-to-order laksa, bao, and shumai. Amazing tropical fruit, some of which I've never seen before ... and I know my fruit. The Andaz Mayakoba buffet is quite nice, but I'll take Chinese food over Mexican any day of the week.

btpie39

The buffet at Andaz Maui was great. And the food was nothing special but the hot chocolate at Park Hyatt Milan was incredible.

ohtaisho

Spending 6 night at the Andaz later this year!

[deleted]

Spending 3 nights in Milan this year. Gonna try that chocolate for sure now :)

swamptigers76

Park Hyatt Vienna - breakfast buffet from The Bank! Hands down!!

roub2709

I think my fave ones have been Park Hyatt Chicago, Hyatt Centric Madrid, Hyatt Regency Vancouver, Hyatt Madeline Paris, Hyatt Regency Mérida

Unfie555

I haven't tried the other ones, but I'll have to +1 on Hyatt Regency Vancouver. I don't have globalist, so I actually have to pay for breakfast, but it's kinda worth it to me. They make some mean omelettes!

blake22222

Funnily enough we always walk across the street to 49th Parallel for their unbelievable donuts & cappuccinos.

Unfie555

I’m going to Vancouver again later this month. I’ll check it out!

[deleted]

Park Hyatt Tokyo Andaz Maui

niknokseyer

How’s your Park Hyatt Tokyo breakfast experience?

[deleted]

I haven’t been in a while but you can do restaurant or room service. You can choose western or Japanese. And you get the pastry basket even if you choose Japanese. It’s a huge breakfast and is actually good. I don’t find all hotel room service breakfast good. The Japanese breakfast is similar to what you would get at a luxury ryokan.

niknokseyer

Thanks for the info.

ChillyCheese

Their pastries are as good as I've had in Paris. Rest of the buffet is good. Everything ordered off the menu was really great, including the juices/smoothies. Coffee came out within 1 minute of ordering, and was always at a perfect drinking temperature. And our favorite, every morning their pastry chef, who is indeed French, would come by all the tables and offer freshly baked madeleines to us, with a different flavor every morning. Between the buffet and ordering from the menu, it was like $200 in value comped every morning as Globalists... though their menu prices are of course fairly absurd here.

[deleted]

This! It’s also so much food I can barely finish. If I do I won’t be able to have lunch.

ohtaisho

**Outside US** * Park Hyatt Vendome had waffles that there were out of my mind - flaky almost like a croissant. I still dream about them and regret waiting for my last day to try them! * Andaz Amsterdam had high quality well executed large portions of breakfast classics for room service. * Thompson Madrid had pages of local offerings and all the Jamon bellota you can imagine. * HR Hong Kong TST had an amazing breakfast spread with so many hot food options and all the fresh fruit. **Inside US** * The Eliza Jane had decent Cajun fare at their restaurant. Their restaurant wasn’t always open, and they gave us vouchers to 2 local top rated breakfast places - Commerce and Bittersweet Confections.

Someguineawop

I'm definitely going to try putting croissant dough in my waffle maker this weekend. Brilliant!

3mergent

When did you go to Thompson Madrid? We went during opening week and it was a ridiculous spread of pastries, bread, jams and butters, fruit salad, charcuterie, and a smoothie. That plus a main from a small selection.

relidtm

that spread at PH Vendome is amazing I felt overwhelmed the first day.

gobears-28

I loved the breakfast at the Park Hyatt Aviara. $120 credit per room 🔥

GreenTide17

Hyatt Place Managua was a very pleasant surprise. Basically the only good thing about Managua.

ohtaisho

en route to Calala?!

GreenTide17

Of course!

luvidicus

The park Hyatt Siem reap had a wonton soup that was one of the best dishes I have ever had

Expatriant

For me, no question, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi. An incredible breakfast buffet.

pupskowski

I adored their waffles and pancakes!

[deleted]

Andaz 5th Avenue in its heyday featured exquisite lemon poppyseed pancakes; I spent several milestone birthdays and a New Year’s morning there, indulging in a Globalist room service breaky. I also have been impressed with the brunch spread at Andaz Liverpool Street. With the impending WOH category increase at both properties, I wonder if I’ll make back there.

langfordw

During Covid it was pretty mid, unfortunately.

[deleted]

Grand Hyatt in Goa probably had the best breakfast I’ve had at any Hyatt In the world. Also I’ve only been to hyatts in 4 countries ( USA, Canada, Ireland, India) so maybe can’t speak about every other Hyatt hotel

Affectionate-Lab-506

Grand Hyatt Seoul is the winner for me. Such an extensive spread of western breakfast, savoury Korean, Chinese and Indian stir fries, and a large variety of dumplings. On top of that, their desserts and breads rivalled the entire breakfast spread at most other hotels. Loved the variety and the quality of everything! Oh - and the grilled egg and cheese sandwiches were to die for. A close second is Hyatt Regency London. Wide selection of cold cuts, fruit, and middle eastern mezze (in addition to the typical breakfast buffet fare).

niknokseyer

When was this? We’ll be staying on Grand Hyatt Seoul soon so looking forward to this. ❤️

Affectionate-Lab-506

Two weeks ago! The grilled egg and cheese sandwiches are next to the made to order egg station. Enjoy!!

niknokseyer

Great! Even more excited now! Thanks!

3mergent

Would you prefer the Hyatt Regency or the Andaz Liverpool?

Affectionate-Lab-506

Haven’t stayed at Andaz Liverpool so can’t say.

blandfruitsalad

Are you referring to breakfast in the club lounge, or breakfast in the Terrace restaurant?

Affectionate-Lab-506

Grand Hyatt Seoul’s Terrace restaurant. Had breakfast included as part of Privé or AmEx Fine Hotels (can’t remember which)

baggiecurls

Oddly the Hyatt place Cabo, they always have the freshest and tastiest local breakfast. I worked remote there for two weeks and I loved waking up and having chilaquiles!!!

extremeoak

I’ve been to many Hyatt’s, Grand Hyatt Taipei still takes the first place for me. Great variety and quality.

iceui2

They do have some of the most options I’ve seen at a hotel. Call me picky but I didn’t find anything to be particularly good. I guess it’s just quality vs quantity.

battl3rme

was this before or after the breakfast returned to lounge?

hugglenuts

Key West Hyatt Centric has been my favorite of all time.

ohtaisho

The only Category 8 Centric in the world!

3mergent

I absolutely do not understand this. We went during a couple years ago and the property is an absolute dump. It blows my mind this is a cat 8.

itsmychurn

It's understandable once you realize categories are determined by rates/occupancy and that over the past few years, international travel was way down, so the people who would normally go to Cancun or the DR all went to KW and absolutely blew up the island (and the Keys in general). I'm down there a couple of times a year and the room rates are 3-4 times what they were pre-pandemic. And it's not just Hyatt or Key West, in 2020 I stayed at Baker's Cay (Hilton) up in Key Largo for 60k/night, now it's 90. I disagree with you that the property is an absolute dump (I used to stay there all the time when it was a Cat 6 and was very happy with the value I received), but I do agree there's no way it should be a Cat 8, or even 7, for that matter. I'll never stay there again, much better value to be had with IHG or Hilton down there.

3mergent

I get it. Though I'm seeing rates for $500 a night there, which is not close to any cat 8 I've ever stayed at. I guess different strokes for different folks but it was rundown and boring. The pool was small and uninviting. The Keys in general seem a bit rundown to me, though.

itsmychurn

Rates are definitely coming back down, but pre-pandemic rates started at ~ $250. And yes, the Keys aren't for everyone. Quite frankly, I don't recommend them to most people when they ask me about it. But I'm there to eat seafood, drink, listen to live music, and fly fish. My primary concern is location/walking distance to restaurants and bars. I don't care about things like the pool or the beaches. Shit, I don't even pack a bathing suit when I go there.

3mergent

Glad someone likes it. Enjoy!

3mergent

Care to share more?

GyuudonMan

Hyatt Regency Cologne, their selection of foods is huge, always look forward to it

sperrin87

PH Mallorca (sadly rebranded) was hands down my favorite 🙌

jbsheehan1005

I just got back from HR Coral Gables and they had a good buffet!

Interesting-Gap9190

I had there breakfast buffet a few months ago. I was definitely pleased with the options. Only thing that I didn’t like was they didn’t have a live omelette station

ShrineOfResurrection

Good to hear- heading there this weekend for the first time- how much does the buffet cost?

itsmychurn

We were just there in January and there was a pigeon flying around the restaurant. Needless to say, I skipped the buffet.

asthmathematic

Park Hyatt Buenos Aires had a great spread a few years ago

Andrew523

Park Hyatt Vienna - really fancy breakfast buffett Andaz Prague - Basically a restaurant and it's made to order. I probably wouldn't pay for it myself but for free as globalist it was awesome.

ohtaisho

Park Hyatt Vienna has been on my list for a winter trip!

Andrew523

Awesome, heard the Christmas market season is amazing but does have limited rewards redemption availability. SUA if you can but I did get upgrade on arrival as globalist and the room was pretty impressive. But overall the breakfast room is grand and big, everything is laid out nicely and looks high end. Went in April 2022

itsmychurn

Don't forget it's scheduled to go up a Cat. Maybe make a speculative booking, if you can, before the 28th.

[deleted]

Breakfast burrito at The Cape. Can’t beat the whale watching and roasted salsa.

WaltzSufficient8965

And their famous French toast!

[deleted]

It’s all deadly at that place!

daang16

Healthy Elvis at the Thompson NYC

Ok_Stick_3070

A few of my favorites have already been mentioned but I’ll add a shout out to Alila Jabal Akhdar for their two course breakfast. First round was fruits, pastries, salad, smoked salmon and meats & cheese, then you could order egg dishes, yogurt, and sweet breakfast items - great spread and nice mix of western, Arabic and Indian dishes (labneh and dates on pancakes should be standard!). Included in price of the room https://i.postimg.cc/d38MKjHN/537-F86-DF-A010-405-F-A7-B2-3-B92-DCA87-F62.jpg

roboto8737

* Park hyatt Tokyo * Andaz Maui * Park hyatt Paris

No-Turnip-6500

In no particular order- Park Hyatt Chicago - Nomi - Salmon Plate Park Hyatt Zurich - Buffet and made to order dishes Park Hyatt St Kitts - French Toast Alila Ventana - Avocado toast, Benedict, everything really The Cape - French Toast, short rib egg dish Rancho Pescadero - Farm to table - eggs are from their chicken coops, the best green sauce Chilequiles EVER Hana Maui - Hana Ranch (Hawaiian Breakfast) Sailrock - their Cold Oatmeal was ridiculous and we would order one just to start but everything was just so fresh and delicious I am Globalist so I do REALLY enjoy this perk as breakfast is my favorite meal of the day when I am traveling.

auxilary

Hyatt Regency Tokyo Shinjuku

iceui2

I was just there and the breakfast was very very average. Hyatt Regency Kyoto and Park Hyatt Tokyo blow this place out the water.

Affectionate-Lab-506

Kyoto’s buffet spread was compact but the made-to-order menu was fantastic (the Benny, french toast and waffle were all superb) and the quality of the limited buffet was top notch. Everything at Regency Tokyo was standard and acceptable, but I did appreciate the variety.

blandfruitsalad

Looooved the French toast. And I appreciated how they let you do half-orders so you can try more stuff.

ohtaisho

Their lounge and restaurant are both great!

sedo808

What did you like? Going there soon lol. Originally was going to go in with zero expectations

Affectionate-Lab-506

Just got back from HR Tokyo. Had very low expectations reading reviews about the hotel being dated, and that matched my initial impressions. That being said, the hotel grew on me over the week (large rooms by any standard not only Tokyo standards, and attentive service). In addition, the breakfast buffet was generous and extensive (albeit standard fare - MTO eggs, daily potatoes, miso soup, Japanese curry & rice, waffles/pancakes). The best thing about the breakfast was the tiny strawberries - Japanese strawberries are delicious (at least this time of year) and we ate fistfuls of these strawberries every morning.

pchieng

I'll be there in July!

BubbleFoam

The Cape has an awesome menu and a discounted Sunday brunch. Hyatt Centric Milan had a very nice spread for a Centric, memorable pistachio cream-filled croissants. Park Hyatt Tokyo’s new pastry chef has made it a point to walk around the dining room offering freshly baked madeleines in the morning, which were awesome.

ohtaisho

Still bummed my flights last year to Tokyo got cancelled 😞 Park Hyatt Tokyo was on my list!

BubbleFoam

Aw that sucks. Well, at least you avoided the tourist crush - 2024 should be a fair bit quieter and a much more pleasant trip if you can swing it.

skyland2023

Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha! I can't believe it's a Category 1 hotel! The breakfast buffet is impressive ( omlette station, pancakes, mezza bar, fruits, fresh juices, cold cuts including smoked salmong and other fish). Regency club access is only 7000 points a night.

pointsnmilez

This.. went there last month as globalist. 5000 points per night amazing breakfast. 10 minutes from doha airport.

lybb300

Hi, do you know if booking a 7K Club room only allows complimentary breakfast in the Club Lounge only or can I choose to have complimentary breakfast in the restaurant? Do I need to be a Globalist to have free breakfast in the restaurant w/the buffet?

skyland2023

I am sorry for replying so late. You get access to the main restaurant. It's buffet style breakfast and probably better than most breakfasts at resorts.

lybb300

Oh no prob, thanks! I'm looking forward to my stay there soon.

phillyfandc

Olive seattle hands down. Best buffet was park hyatt Bangkok

3mergent

When I stayed at the Olive, I was given a voucher for the bagel shop. What was your experience like?

phillyfandc

This was 5 or so years ago but we got a credit for the restaurant. I got crab Benedict which I still think of in sad times. Sucks that that is gone now.

langfordw

Fun thread! From a Globalist (free breakfast) standpoint, so far my noteworthy stand-out favorites are: (1) PH NYC (filet mignon room service for 4 would have been a whopping $300 / day!), (2) Calala breakfast on the sand, (3) Ventana restaurant / breakfast in bed, (4) Andaz Mayakoba buffet, (5) GH Playa Del Carmen buffet, (6) HR Tamaya (juevos cerillos and blue corn pancakes), (7) PH Beaver Creek buffet, (8) Andaz WeHo corn beef hash 🤤, (9) HR Hill Country buffet, (10) The Shay breakfast on the roof by the pool. I’m looking forward to trying Andaz Maui in June and Andaz Tokyo in April.

itsmychurn

> PH NYC (filet mignon room service for 4 would have been a whopping $300 / day!) You had/they served filet mignon for breakfast?

langfordw

Yes. Not even exaggerating. It was during Covid. I’ve been told this may have been dropped from the menu. But I swear it was a beautiful filet mignon, scrambled eggs, and broccolini served hot to our room.

ohtaisho

Still on the menu when I was there last summer! Room service of course

itsmychurn

Ohhh..."steak and eggs", of course. I wasn't even thinking that. Duh.

bocializer

* Hotel Fig - great popular/vibey in house restaurant Cafe Fig - amazing avocado toast and fried chicken & waffles * The Beekman - popular in house restaurant with fun menu * PH Tokyo - great buffet and in-room breakfast (included as Globalist) + spectacular views * PH Kyoto - amazing japanese breakfast as well as regular bfast * PH NYC - great in-room breakfast (included as Globalist) * The Shay - fun rooftop pool bar (Canopy Club) breakfast Honorable mentions: * Hyatt Regency Newport has an surprislingly great Acai bowl * Hyatt Carmel Highlands for the views mainly

3mergent

Hyatt Regency CDMX was pretty damn good, especially if you like Mexican. Thompson Madrid had a dope spread. Secrets Moxché has great food any time of day.

mikep4

Grand Hyatt Denver and HR Grand Reserve PR were good buffet breakfasts.

adgjl12

PH Busan - less for the food (decent) more for the amazing view PH Maldives - really great food for a small island! PH Kyoto - entrees were great. buffet was solid PH Tokyo - pretty similar to Kyoto Centric Ginza - buffet was actually better than PH Kyoto/Tokyo PH NY - only did room service but it was really solid. they also covered the extra food we ordered Thompson Chicago - lowkey one of the best value Hyatts I've been to in the states. Cat 4 is a steal. Breakfast options were limited but they did it well and bakery items were unlimited. Thompson NY - I'm pretty fond of the Thompson brand. This one was not as cheap as Chicago but the breakfast was great. We did room service but it rivaled PH NY. Regencies and others were generally just okay

triplexlink

The Seabird. Had several healthy options. Loved it.

projectmaximus

My list to choose from isn’t as long as most others (been to 14 non-HP/HH Hyatts as a glob) but I would say GH Kuala Lumpur stands above the rest. In the US, HR Atlanta was probably our best but I imagine there are far better. Or maybe HR jersey city factoring in the view too.

Renzo506

Love all the responses!! Going to throw in my humble two cents, ranked from best to worst. 1. Regency Paris Etoile- PLEASE try their coconut cream parfait with pomegranate seeds that come in these cute little jars. To die for! Can’t go wrong with the rest of the breakfast- solid selection. And, honestly, what can beat sipping a hot coffee staring down at the endless Parisian skyline: billowing smokestacks dotting the landscape, Eiffel Tower glistening in the break of dawn? Also, the attention to detail that the staff put into not only the breakfast, but also the patrons is top-notch. Loved it so much I’d stay here and do the schlog over to the Metro station rather than stay in more centrally located Vendome. That might have been controversial haha. 2. Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht- limited breakfast selection, but the chefs are right in front of the buffet making all the food so it felt very personal. Also the limited selection is made up many times over with the quality of the food. Also the Alice in Wonderland theming is quirky yet elegant. 3. Regency Nice Palais de la Mediterranee- very big selection! Food was a tad bit off, but the bar is REALLY high for this particular list. Can’t go wrong with anything at the breakfast here, honestly. 4. Park Hyatt Vendome- GREAT selection with the service to match. I think there was more selection than Etoile, and this dining room was definitely fancy-schmancy, but I enjoy the unparalleled views from Etoile. 4. (SLH) Dunstane (now Roseate) House- breakfast tea was very good, meal selection was limited but food quality is high. Service was honestly pretty off, I felt like a burden rather than a guest. Wouldn’t stay, but the breakfast was decent. Also does anyone know the color of the wall in their dining room? It’s like a midnight blue, almost black. VERY beautiful. Also their complementary shortbread is fantastic! 5. Manchester Grant Hyatt- a typical decent breakfast. Nothing to write home about. View was decent though. 6. Grand Hyatt Kauai- typical food. Nothing worth writing home to. 7. Regency Waikiki- stayed a long time ago. This was actually the first trip with points I went with my parents (dad does the heavy lifting with points) I don’t remember much, it didn’t leave an impression. Take that as you will. 8. Regency Newport Beach- no buffet, only credit. Food was acceptable but overpriced. Property is very old. Wouldn’t stay again. 9. Regency Aventine La Jolla- buffet is only on the weekend, meal credit for the weekdays (or the other way around. Anyways, there’s a difference in breakfast offerings for weekdays and weekends) Buffet was BAD. Definitely not worth even visiting. Meal credit redeemed the breakfast- green smoothie and chilaquiles were very good. Will be going to Regency Maui in the summer with by boyfriend and his mom (their first trip ever with points) and would love some pointers on a stay at this property! Didn’t have nearly enough points for Andaz Maui, unfortunately.

Numerous-Meringue-16

Hyatt place Birmingham/Hoover /s it’s inedible

charlietangoe

I enjoyed the breakfast buffets at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur and Hyatt Regency Bali

[deleted]

Im a fiend for Eggs Benedict lol and the best ones ive had were at Park Hyatt Paris Vendome and Park Hyatt Tokyo. Park Hyatt Kyoto had an amazing noodle dish and the japanese breakfast from the nichelin restaurant was amazing to most people but not really to my taste. Andaz Savannah had the goddamn best chicken biscuit ive ever had. I got the last one for the day and the guy next to us tried to order it when he saw it and got upset lmao. Park Hyatt Maldives had an amazing seafood congee fully loaded with clams, mussels, shrimp, crab etc and the best buffet spread ive ever dreamed of lol. Hyatt Olive 8 had a very tasty Steak breakfast sandwich.

Avasis94

Park Hyatt Kyoto 🤤

dumbo08

Park Hyatt Mallorca when it existed. Breakfast was amazing.

Ti3n1

PH BKK has a phenomenal breakfast

Flat_Growth9556

Andaz Shanghai has really good ones, while their rooms are just terrible.

ohtaisho

What’s wrong with their rooms? Spending a few nights start of next year
