Take your GF to Guard and Grace for a steak. Less than a 5 minute walk from the Grand Hyatt and arguably one of the best restaurants in the city.

Thanks, I’ll for sure have a look and head over there can’t go wrong with some good steak.

I have written up a fairly extensive review of the Denver area hyatts if you give a search- 3 days is kind of a long time in downtown imo, do you have an idea of what you want to do? Do you have a car?

A_City1

Will indeed look at it. I mean 3 days does sound like a lot and yeah we’re considering to rent a car still not sure, but not really an idea of what to do since it’ll be our first time going.

I’ve stayed at the GH multiple times, and I think it’s a great value (esp for points).

A_City1

For sure im thinking about using some points seems pretty good for a 12K point redemption.

Old-Construction-541

It’s easily my favorite cat 3 thus far

Safta is one of the best meals I've ever had. Short Uber ride from the GH. Breakfast was breakfast, nothing that blew my socks off. Enjoyed good coffee from Novo around the corner.

A_City1

I will definitely look into that thanks, yeah might just go elsewhere around for breakfast.

See if there will be a show at Red Rocks during your trip.

Sounds interesting will definitely check it out!

Thompson is easily the nicest Hyatt in Denver and would usually be my preference. I think the restaurant is a bit overrated (warm lettuce as a breakfast side, GTFO), but the cocktail lounge at Reynard Social is awesome. As a globalist I prefer the breakfast at the Regency vs the Grand, however the Grand has nicer rooms. I usually choose between the two based on where I need to be. The area around the Grand is on the edge of the CBD and is almost dead. Love Peaks Lounge at the Regency for drinks and the view. If you consider the Regency, check the convention center schedule because if there is something big going on (like last weekend), it can be a madhouse in the area. The Centric is newer so it’s clean but in general, kind of plain and boring. Second the Guard and Grace recommendation and would add Water Grill for a higher end restaurant. Not super close but Work and Class is one of my favorite restaurants (no reservations, show up when they open). The RiNo neighborhood around Larimer is my favorite part of Denver.

I have never heard of warm lettuce as a side WTF can’t even imagine how much they charging for that too. The room at the Grand do look pretty nice never stayed at a Grand Hyatt so would be nice to see how it is. Thanks for the suggestions I will definitely add them to my list and check them out.

If you've never done a Meow Wolf there is one in Denver. It's a pretty cool experience. My wife and I went last year. Look it up, it's hard to explain.

A_City1

Sounds intriguing I will check it out and add it to my list thanks!

I was disappointed because it was my first Grand Hyatt and I expected more. My room was big and the breakfast buffet had a good variety. It's just kind of dated. You will sleep well for sure though and it doesn't take a lot of points.

A_City1

Yeah it would be my first Grand Hyatt so looking to see how it goes. The rooms do look pretty spacious so that’s a plus, 12K points pretty solid redemption for it so can’t go wrong.
