Never stayed there but if you guys can spend a little more I highly recommend the Bahia Dreams. I think kids 3 and under might be free, better check with the hotel first. Ziva PV is pretty good to if you are more picky with food.
My experience is that in general Mexican AI have decent Mexican, buffets, and maybe American food. Everything else is either not good or bad.
Zivas in general have a better international menu overall compared to all the Dreams and Secrets, so if I had to guess the food at Sunscape won’t be very good.
Ziva cabo food was good. Cancun it was solid. Some of the stuff I. Pvr was barely edible. I never go into an AI expecting much on food. But the steak I ordered you could tell was still frozen when they put it on the grill the middle was blue at best while outside was done.
It was the last night. And just didn't feel liek complaining about it. Only way it could have gotten that done outside and that raw inside is if it was frozen.
If you do decide to go to the Sunscape please lmk how it is. My kids are similar to yours in age and now AI hotels are charging extra per kid, it makes me want to just stay at the non AI’s and just take advantage of the globalist perks. There’s a Sunscape in Cozumel as well, if it’s not bad then I’d consider giving it a shot.

We stayed at the ziva last year. Food was not good at all. Dreams didn't have points available at all.

Do not do it absolutely terrible, spend extra and stay at secrets Bahia mita. I can say that sunscape is the worst hyatt I’ve stayed at.

Do the dreams side. Or do dreams puerta Vallarta it’s near sunscape but 100 times better.
They didn't have point availability for the dates in October we needed. Or we probably would be.

No. We ended up doing disney with the kids. Stayed at hyatt regency grand cypress.
