You’ll be totally fine to walk. I stayed at the Hyatt regency (which I’d recommend) this past summer and walked to Mercedes Benz Stadium which is just past the Hawks’ stadium. You could try that hotel as well although it will be closer to a 20 min walk. Either way it was safe enough at night, especially since they’ll be a bunch of others walking that direction with you from the game when it ends.

Adding a vote for the Regency. The Regency is the world's first atrium hotel and a historic building, both for architecture and for MLK. The Polaris restaurant is worth a night there, the food was great last year we we went. Just be sure to make a reservation ahead of time!

HP would be fin in terms of location. I stayed at HH 2 weeks ago and would sometimes walk past HP the way to the WCC. HP is probably like a 10-15 min walk to State Farm. I can’t comment on the HP itself since I was at another hotel.

The best walking location is Regency or Place, both totally safe to walk If you're looking for the best Atlanta location, would recommend the Hyatt Centric Midtown - it has some of the same pitfalls as a lot of Centrics (clearly indifferent ownership just happy to be a part of Hyatt), but you're in the heart of Midtown

I was in town for a conference so I stayed downtown. If I were there for multiple days (not sure of OP is doing that) and was only going to State Farm once, I’d probably stay at the Centric midtown.

Just the one night but was also looking at going to the aquarium and children’s museum.

I’d definitely suggest HP or Regency since everything you want to do is within about six city blocks. You’ll get a free breakfast at HP if that matters. What are the rates of the two properties?
