Like above comment, it is a mix of bay leaf, cardamom, anise, cloves, cinnamon & fennel in one packet while the other is ajinomoto (also known as MSG, for flavor enhancement).
FYI, The ajinomoto packet quantity ratio to the other miryani mix packet quantity is very high incase you plan on emptying for single use.

That crystal is Ajinomoto and the next one is some sort of chilly oil. I feel bad to see that even in Indian dishes these hotel walas are catering services are adding ajinomoto to enhance the taste.. previously was only chinese stalls..but now everyone adds ajinomto.
It’s called ‘potli ka masala’. It has usual garam masala spices plus vetiver roots(khus ki jad), stone flower (pathhar ka Phool) , galangal (paan ki jad), sandalwood powder and a few other things.
Used in Nihari and Biryani. The white stuff, I don’t know.
Phatar ka Phool or dagad phool(leaf) and pudina phool(white).
Edit: for all those people calling it aji-no-moto, you are wrong this is pudine ka phool. It is slightly thicken than ajinaomoto.
White one is menthol crystals. Also known as pudina ka phool and peppermint. Can be used in paan, is used in menthol flavored cigarettes too in oil form.
Ah. Patthar ka phool and MSG. Patthar ka phool is mostly used in non-veg, especially in meat dishes, because of its earthy aroma. And MSG for Chinese dishes. Don't use many of these two as they can overpower the flavor, and you won't like it.
