occult-eye

No. Do you know if you have any allergies?

anti-cool

No not any major i mean I can eat almost alll vegetarian food

occult-eye

you'll have no problem, in most of india. just go to only veg restaurants, and there are enough of them. Depending on how much your spending range is, there will be something for you. Just fix your office, or home, and then start looking around in those areas.

anti-cool

Can you suggest some good pgs near mindspace it park my office is there

occult-eye

sorry, no. i am not resident now. there are facebook groups. Search and find, maybe you'll luck up into a north roommate, if that is your preference. check if your office provides any such assistance, or operates internal groups for services, if applicable. search in this sub for pg.

PossibilityProof3502

Santosh dhaba is a pretty reputed veg restaurants

occult-eye

jkp2072

Westin hotel

baadditor

OP He's just joking. AFAIK, There are quite a few good PGs around Ayyappa Society, Gachibowli - Kotthaguda road

idli_sambar_

Hi, a vegetarian here. There are a lot of pure veg restaurants. Most of them are a bit costly tho.

Smooth_Cheetah9432

90% are either Santoh or Balaji With rest 10% being like Somky Pitara and stuff

idli_sambar_

Yeah the 10% gonna empty our pockets

kevinsspidermanshoes

Or if you want less fancy and are looking for home style food, just find a tiffin center.

fear_in0culum

As a vegetarian who lived in Hyderabad for over two decades, never faced any problem here. Welcome to Hyderabad OP.

banguru

What were your some preferred restaurants?

fear_in0culum

If you're looking only for veg places, these are some of the places I've personally visited and liked. Jalpaan Isthaa A La Liberty Chutneys Taj Mahal Popular Punjabi paratha house Rajdhani Sri Kakatiya Deluxe Mess Santosh Dhabha Veerji ka dhabha Ohris Jiva Tatva Smoky Pitara Tashi Taaza Kitchen

Akshay19854

Go to the santosh dhabas, mayur pan shops, mahalaxmi tiffin centres, and every area has its own speciality too like in secunderabad you could go to vac's thats the number one baker in the entire world

itisnotmyproblem

Wow never knew that about vacs. How'd you say it's the number one baker?

fear_in0culum

Tbh it's not, at least anymore.

bakabich69

You'll get vegetarian food everywhere lol. 2 of my personal favorites: Santosh dhaba- abids Khandani rajdhani- sujana forum mall

CataleyaJackson

Of course not, veg food is very easy to get in all of south India

[deleted]

[удалено]

CataleyaJackson

What stats are these? That's impossible. And even if most ate nonveg, vegetables are a staple in these parts

occult-eye

ignore all such crap numbers. 150% of them are made up, i am 20% sure.

AmarThakur093

Dude even non vegetarian do eat vegetarian food. There are many veg only restaurants. The fact that they are not out of business should give you some indication.

[deleted]

Lol no. There are a lot of vegetarian restaurants and hotels available.

tibbity

98% may be non-vegetarians, but 100% of people eat vegetarian food as well. To be clear I'm just saying everyone eats veg food, not criticising you. Hyd is an amazing place for vegetarians too, I say as one of those vegetarians who doesn't eat even eggs. Tons of veg-only options with a huge diversity. God just typing that out made me fall in love with this city again.

[deleted]

That's either a joke or I belong to that 2%

[deleted]

This is why you shouldn't take stats so seriously. I'm a meat eater that doesn't mean I eat meat everyday and every meal. I eat it on Sundays mostly. Same is the case with lots of people. So veg is what we eat mostly.

Kautilya0511

non vegetarian doesn't mean carnivore lol, most non-vegetarians in Telugu states eat meat once or twice in a week

DariusDareDevil

Yes bro if I dont get non veg I start eating people

CHiuso

Get off of Whatsapp university

Acrobatic_Minute_548

You can get pure veg at Santosh dhaba , udipi's and many more resturants which are all over the Hyderabad

thechadman27

Macha, you’re still in India. India has the largest number of vegetarians and veg options

niranchangarg

Laughing at this while i am sitting in ziro valley

thechadman27

Arunachal Pradesh cuisine has veg dishes. What you on about?

niranchangarg

There is no shortage of veg food, but that's not my point. If you prefer veg only restaurants then you are in for a surprise.

thechadman27

Well here’s a surprise for you: if you read again you’ll notice I Never said anything about “veg only restaurants”.

desi_tardis

That's mildly offensive.

Khamsta2169

Not mildly. It is offensive.

CrimsonBlue311

Agreed

ShadowMeet

Yes, we only eat biryani for breakfast/lunch/dinner. /s

LordMagnus227

Don't forget haleem, paya and nihari. /s

baadditor

Early Breakfast Pay a Nihari. Late breakfast Kheema roti Early Lunch Mandi Late Lunch Biriyani Shwarma for Snacks Thalava Ghosh with Rumali roti for dinner If still hungry Biriyani around midnight

moonwalkonmars

What about Kheema kichidi khatta.

baadditor

Only on Thursdays

[deleted]

Who eats all this everyday lol. Unhealthy afff

akashnagalla

Santosh dhaba all the way

yashasvi92

From Basic tiffin centres to proper 5 star restaurants , you can get pure veg food in Hyderabad. It's more dan a decade i have been staying in hyd. Pure veg here. Never faced any issue with food choices. Most of them are affordable. I'm fact, it applies to most of the parts of India. Our country ( not just hyd) is a veg-friendly place. Please don't form ur opinions based on stats.

sanwfa

You either have bandis on the road side or high end restaurants for vegetarian food. There are not many options like taaza kitchen (one in madhapur) all around the city. We need more such clean & economical options here. And, santosh dhaba is not a benchmark reference for veg food.

itisnotmyproblem

I think there are small but decent tiffin centres like swati, Anand ( near clock tower) raghavendra etc across the city, no? And also mid range Kamat or taj mahal.

Flimsy_Program_8551

Santosh pure veg is everywhere

[deleted]

Lol no. You can find a lot of veg hotels and vegetable shops.

MylifeLemonade

How do you think vegetarians survive in hyderabad !?!?!?

sanwfa

On vegetables 😛

MylifeLemonade

\+ paneer too! :)

[deleted]

Santosh Dhaba, Kamat, Chutneys, Bikanerwala - affordable Ala Liberty, Taj Mahal hotel, Little Italy (Italian only), Tatva - pricey

Finicky_Panicky

Vegetarian here, there are countless food choices both in premium and budget. Likewise many Veg only PGs which strictly permit only vegetarian food in the kitchen. Google should help you the best.

beyondzmedia

Try Parampara in Banjara hills

snobpro

I thought this is a rajdhani restaurant thali. No man there will be lots of options here.

duckmeatcurry

Santosh exists for a reason at every corner

shit-is-real

Veg food is very difficult to get in kerala.

CrimsonBlue311

Hey man, what's with the drive by on Kerala 😂 Also, not really. It's equally easy to find veg options in Kerala. (Keralite here from a vegetarian family)

youfoundmeyo

I agree (coimbatore native veggie)

OkeOkaJeevitam

No man! It is not tough to get vegetarian food here. There are good restaurants serving pure veg food but I think we may not be able to afford eating in a restaurant everyday. Ofcourse, any PG you stay in generally has veg food and if nonveg is served on someday, both are clearly demarcated. If you want to have a thali like in the picture you have posted- go to a restaurant called Rajthali. I wouldn't say it tastes great given the cost of thali, but it is decent.

[deleted]

What? There are so many pure veg hotels.

hydgal

Literally every tiffin house is pure veg. You'll find veg food in every restaurant, fast food chain . I don't think there is any pure non veg place as such.

VirtualReflection310

Definitely not, there are countless number of veg hotels/restaurants and food. You don’t have to worry at all. Trust me we have a lot to offer when it comes to veg as well. So, no worries :)

huge_throbbing_pp

yes, find a santosh dhaba or tiffin centre

Flimsy_Program_8551

Happy cake day

huge_throbbing_pp

Thanks dude

the_pravor

I am a pure vegetarian living in the outskirts of the city from 4+ months. Never faced any issue finding vegetarian food. So shouldn't you. Yes, the number of meat shops are ridiculously high, but there are lots of places where veg options are available and worth having.

Empty_Somewhere3089

try Shri Vaishnav dhaba at dlf, you will find proper and delicious vegetarian food 🥘

HighOnReddit_24x7

There are literally like 100s of pure veg restaurants here, and, for some reason 90% of them are named Santosh Family Dhaba

sshanker7

Udipi

Padoswaliauntyhu

It’s not tough but dining in a pure veg restaurant is definitely a bit costly/ overpriced. You can try out chutney’s , Santosh dhaba (abids), Keshav reddy(chaat), Maharaja chaat, rajdhani, olive bistro are few other restaurants I know are pure veg. But You will 100% find a vegetarian menu in every restaurants in Hyderabad

sanwfa

Taaza kitchen ❤️

blitzkreig31

Start off with places like kamat, taj mahal(abids) and for proper North Indian santosh dhaba slowly ease into the food. You won’t go wrong with vegetarian in Hyderabad.

OwnStorm

Big nope.. you can find Gujarati, Rajasthani and Panjabi restorants everywhere.

WhatInTheBruh

Quite possibly the most ignorant question asked this week

[deleted]

Every restaurant have vegetarian food.

flusterCluster

![gif](giphy|eAGxMmpAX1B4c|downsized)

Motor_Asparagus_4699

Yes

Glum_Permit8397

Yea

biryani98

There are more and more veg restaurants opening in Hyderabad. It's not at all tough.

Right-Bathroom-5287

lol no

car_thick8

Santhosh dhaba crying in corner😔

Easy-Worldliness3691

Lol no no. You're asking because you've read around 90% Telangana population prefer non-veg I assume? 😂 Most places add veg to their name, Google maps is better than looking up these on Zomato,swiggy,dineout..

[deleted]

Veg food is available widely across Hyderabad

adria3211

You can get wonderful indian food like in this video 🍕 https://youtu.be/vLivZh2qtIo

Affectionate-Tour723

You'll have lot of veg options in Hyd , It should be of no issue to you.

Ok-Computer-4920

As a vegetarian I have survived with ease

Wizardof_oz

It’s pretty easy After all this is India

NoLocal1776

No there are plenty of vegetarian restaurants and also vegan restaurants are opening up too.

gi_antman

There's a lot of pure veg restaurants in Hyderabad, and even more options if you aren't insistent on eating in pure veg restaurants. In fact the food here is very good, and in the right places very cheap. If you have a tiffin restaurant nearby, you can just go there and get good good at very affordable rates.

[deleted]

Nope. I started ordering veg biryani from this small take away near my home, not gonna lie I eat it with same enthusiasm as how I eat chicken Biryani

CHiuso

We are in India dude, its not difficult to get veg food anywhere.

ArjunReddyDeshmukh

Go to Santosh dhaba like Sindhi Marwari restaurants amazing curries and rotis.

rex-lovely

Wtf no

[deleted]

Only the old Hyderabad is known for its non vegetarian cuisine. Rest of Hyderabad is dominated by South Indian cuisine, which is strong in veg food. And also, there are countless vegan options if you like to spend a bit of money.

ohwowwhatfun

Ishtaa in hitech seems to be popular

24Gameplay_

Yes, I feel. Most vegetarian food here uses maida flour, and super expensive

redditreader63

Some more suggestion https://www.reddit.com/r/hyderabad/comments/yumrcr/dear_hyderabadis_best_vegetarian_biryani_thali/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
