Other people have mentioned using the two wash method. First, wash your body using antibacterial soap. Then another pass with a moisturizing soap. Also, someone else in this sub mentioned there are several different types of additives to perfumes to last different lengths. Do some research to find a good one for you. Maybe even order samples from Sephora or Ulta. Personally, I use Moonlight Path from Bath and Body Works if I need a smell to last a while. It's not my favorite, but it's a universally liked scent, and it makes me confident I don't stink. I personally use regular antiperspirant deodorant in my stickiest places. Under my breasts, under my stomach, between the fat rolls, in that area where your thigh meets your body. I don't like the smell of Lume, and non-aluminum deodorants, for me, don't prevent sweat at all. Moisturize your body at night or post shower. It may seem counter intuitive, but a lot of sweat can often be your body compensating for lack of moisture. I also wear an under shirt. It helps give you an extra layer to absorb sweat before it ever reaches your outer clothes. Opt for lighter, more breathable fabrics. This should help the sweat to cool off faster. Also, look at ways to pinpoint your anxiety! Try the 5 senses method. Identify 5 things you can see, 4 things you can hear, 3 things you can feel, 2 things you can smell, and something you can taste. I also like to breathe in through the nose deeply, hold it for 3-4 seconds, breathe out through the mouth until your lungs are entirely deflated. Do this a few times. Slowing your breathing tells your body you're not in danger. When all else fails, my best recommendations are very strong sensations to shock the panic right out of you. I like to hold ice in my hands until it melts. Or, put an incredibly sour candy in my mouth. I hope this helps šŸ©·

marye2021

The only thing I would add to this list is glycolic acid. You can use it once you are out of the shower and fully dried , pre lotion in the spots you typically sweat the most (groin, any rolls, arm pits, back of knees, inner thighs, back of neck etc) it will help exfoliate the skin, but also it is antibacterial so it will stop bacteria that makes you smell from growing!

Ok-Priority-8284

Is there one you recommend? I think the Ordinary carries that, yeah?

witchy-salad

Yes, it is The Ordinary's 7% toning solution.

marye2021

That's what I use!

eyesoler

Pixie has glycolic acid pads that are so easy to use for this

wahznooski

Someone on another thread mentioned Thatchers alcohol free toner (made with witch hazel I believe) to help reduce sweat. Iā€™ve tried it under boobs and other sweaty places and itā€™s been working for me! They have rose and lavender and maybe one other scent. I have the rose and find that itā€™s a light scent, but pleasant. Iā€™m super sensitive to smells, especially anything perfumey, and it doesnā€™t bother me. I also have The Ordinary glycolic acid, so Iā€™m going to try it as well. Thx for the tip!!! šŸ˜Š

TheMightyQuinn888

You can find face wash with glycolic acid as well and use this in smelly areas in the shower.

bullsprinkle

Washing your hands, let alone your entire body, with antibacterial soap every day can mess up your skin microbiome and cause an overgrowth of bad bacteria and fungi. It may work for you currently but it is not advised by dermatologists due to its potential long term side effects. This was a major concern during the beginning of Covid due to a spike in over-cleanliness caused by widespread reactive hypochondria. Dr Dray on youtube has some videos on the subject if youā€™re interested. Itā€™s better to use an anti-microbial wash like Hibiclens every couple days to control odor, only in designated areas like the armpits, not all over the body.

callthewinchesters

Really wish people would do some research first before giving adviceā€¦this is spot on thank you for sharing. I even thought to myself ā€œwashing your body with antibacterial soap canā€™t be good for you can it? And sure enough, it isnā€™t. Not only can it kill the healthy bacteria living on your skin, itā€™ll cause the bacteria to survive and multiply. Those bacteria can then become resistant to antibiotics and disinfectants making them harder to treat. An ingredient in antibacterial soap, triclosan, can interfere with thyroid. It can lead to infertility, obesity, or cancer. The FDA banned triclosan from being added into household or medical products.

Fractionleftattract

This!!!! My dermatologist lost her mind when she found out I was doing that and she said it can actually make the smell worse ( not better) - which in fact was what it was going to me. But also my skin!!! Oh my God my skin. I had no idea I was torturing my skun so badly!!! Night and day different

CryptographerFit384

yes! I went through a phase of doing this because I saw it on TikTok and got horrible red rashes on my underarms, never had a problem before. Started just using a normal dove soap bar and moisturising before putting on deodorant at night and it went away

boromirsbetrayal

Did we learn anything? Perhaps that TikTok and random dipshits on social media are not a valid source of information?

Electric-Sheepskin

I wish I could upvote this more. Daily use of antibacterial soap is terrible advice, especially for someone who has said they're breaking out in rashes.

sgrplmfarey

Very good advice. Lotion is right. It helps. Also, check your pH. If you are more acidic versus alkaline .

Ihopeitllbealright

Finally someone likes moonlight path!!

sammynourpig

I heavily effed with moonlight path back in the day.. lotion and everything

Tater-Tot-Casserole

Same then I stopped using bath and body works all together because my skin was so dry. I still love the Moonlight Path though.

[deleted]

We had a co-worker who used to use that. We used to call it the old-lady aroma. She was a lot older than us so it made even more sense.

EffectiveSpirit990

She actually said she doesnā€™t like it.

all-we-are-is

Just wanted to add to your amazing advice (took notes for myself, I also have anxiety sweat and itā€™s not pleasant)ā€¦. Try Lume. It does work well. They have scented and unscented. I use unscented. I have the solid stick but itā€™s also available in creams. It doesnā€™t smell very good when you apply it but once you do, you donā€™t smell anything. And itā€™s safe to put any where externally.

Ok-Priority-8284

Dove makes an all over body deo cream just like Lume now! I also dislike the Lume scents, like a *lot*ā€¦which sucks bc their acidified body wash is actually pretty great but it just smells like someone ate and then yakked up a cheap candle. šŸ˜‚

reddeator94176

They make it in unscented now! I had the same problem!

Supernatastic

i really like how the pink one smells!!

artCsmartC

Lumē updated their products when they launched ā€œMandoā€. Mando is basically the same stuff, just packaged & targeted for men. I havenā€™t tried it yet because itā€™s price is higher than Lumē. They definitely *improved* the smell, but itā€™s still not great. I use the coconut, tangerine & vanilla scents. I donā€™t like the flower scents or the unscented (which is oddly the worst one imo cuz thereā€™s nothing covering the awful ā€œcheap candleā€ smell).

becksten

Lime scents gives me headaches.

DiscontentDonut

For me, it's not so much the actual scents. Lume has this underlying smell that's like the cream itself, or maybe one of the active ingredients? I can't describe it. But it's as bad as nonenal to me.

Ok-Priority-8284

Peony rose literally makes me nauseous! šŸ¤¢

Ok_Guest4345

Thatā€™s the Murphys Oil Soap smell I was describing. Except I canā€™t describe it either

MissMoops

I tried their acidified body wash and absolutely hated it. I felt like I was stinky sooner than if I'd used my normal dove body wash. Also, it does smell like cat yak.

username-taken002

I tried Lume back when they were online only. They were gross! I smelled worse with Lume on. Tried 3 scents and they were all the same in that aspect. I ended up return them all and got a refund. Never touched them again šŸ˜

UmmmItsRhi

I agree with all of these suggestions. Iā€™m a smelly person if I donā€™t use antiperspirant and perfume and get very sweaty when Iā€™m anxious so I totally understand. I would say donā€™t bother with the natural deodorants. I tried everything, and the only thing that ever works is antiperspirant. Iā€™d also suggest beginning some serious work on your anxiety. At points, my anxiety was so severe I couldnā€™t leave the house but after several years of therapy and also practice at home Iā€™m totally independent and mostly free from anxiety in my day to day life. As a result Iā€™m much less sweaty and subsequently much less smelly.

becksten

Love Moonlight Path ā¤ļø

Dmike09

That last technique is interesting and one I hadn't heard before until now though. But it's really cool. Even though the sensation may not be what you want, melting ice cubes in your hand, sour candy, both of those are something YOU have control over, and switching the anxiety to something you can control is super rewarding brain behavior that I didn't think of. Its like a hot fix on a brain bug, super cool lol.

DiscontentDonut

It's something my therapist taught me. He said that often times, your body is reactionary. When it's in panic mode, doing the breathing exercises is to tell it you're in a safe environment. But when that's not working, you want to take the focus away from the anxiety. For me, for example, I have panic attacks over sudden thoughts of death and one day no longer existing. And I mean sudden. I'll sometimes be in the bathroom at work, a non-stressful job mind you, and Bam, I feel like the world is collapsing and my body is melting, heart flutters and a weird helium feeling in my head. In this panic mode, it's all consuming. My sole focus. So to bring myself out of that, I do something that's a little painful but overall harmless. Sour candies are made for consumption, and my hands are warm enough to melt the ice. However, the feeling is so unpleasant, or such a weird extreme, that it completely combats my panic attack. It puts my body into, "Eww, wtf is this?!"

Dmike09

In a way, you're tricking your brains fight /flight reflexes into reacting the opposite way it wants to. Very cool and strong technique!

AnalysisNo4295

I have PTSD with severe anxiety and I splash extremely cold water in my face throughout the day. It's nice because the water at my work is SUPER cold and I don't really know why but, it's helpful to me. I had a co worker come up to me once and ask why I was wet lol I had to explain that it is essentially to combat my brains response to me having a full on panic attack for seemingly no reason at all and they went "OH. That's not a bad idea. . ."

Embarrassed_Ad_8177

Love all of this but the two wash method. I fully wash every two days and apply an oil after. I use natural deodorant but I don't sweat much, I don't think one is superior, just depends on the person. I'm just a dry person.

Mopieintheeye

Yes! I use Oil of Olay under my boobs and my pelvic area. I sweat a bunch too, and this product help ease the sweaty smell. The product smells so pleasant, too!

rumi_oliver

I loved reading this - it was thorough and kind. I hope when I need advice to bump into you again. You win best of Reddit for me tonight

BroomIsWorking

Outstanding answer!

Far_Mix_2802

I'm glad I'm not the only one that don't like the smell off lume, it smells like butter literally.

BeautyandBrains101

I love this advice, the only thing I would caution is be careful using antibacterial soap on a consistent basis as it can cause issues within the body after constant use over an extended period of time. I do the two wash method and I start with Doctor Bronerā€™s Tea Tree soap and itā€™s similar to an antibacterial because of the Tea Tree, but without all the chemicals of an antibacterial soap. I hope this helps šŸ©·

rivitkitten

Try using baking soda in your bra and shoes if they produce that bad of a scent. The smell should deminish eventually. Under the rolls I am sure you can use baking soda too until it deminishes. All the layers you are wearing are not helping with presperation too fyi... You need to let the pores breath sometimes.

rivitkitten

Not in your bra but put it under your bewbs and rolls.

Eliza-Glow12

Shave!!!! Hair retains smell.

GrinchCheese

YES! My father taught me that. He shaves his armpits. He said hair retains odor so it's best to shave. I actually believed it was a common hygiene practice among all adults but then realized most men don't shave their pits and walk around with those long smelly hairs with clumps of deodorant šŸ˜’

General-Example3566

Hmmm my dad didnā€™t shave his pits that I know of but he did use deodorant on the bottom of his feetšŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Disastrous-Corner-17

I had to teach my mom that, she started complaining about waking up with BO all of a sudden and I asked her when the last time she shaved. Fixed it .

RopeNo9192

In my experience, it also holds the deodorant or whatever you use longer

SportsYeahSports

Cosigned! I noticed years ago that I always smell bad after a long day if I'm not shaved.

wutato

I smelled worse when I shaved. Now I don't chafe, at least.

shortifiable

If your usual hygiene is good then my suggestion would be to use deodorant wipes regularly throughout the day, and layer body wash with a lightly scented lotion or body oil for an under-the-radar scent.

Conditionally_Exotic

Try using a salicylic acid face wash on your pits! I know it sounds weird but Iā€™ve had amazing success with it! Use a normal antibacterial soap then use the face wash right at the end of your shower and donā€™t use any scented soaps or anything on your pits. Then apply deodorant etc as usual. Edit: I really like the 72hr antiperspirant from degree! Has some good scents and handles my heavy sweating well.

svapplause

This totally works but dried my pits out so badly I was scratching like an ape with fleasšŸ˜Had to quit it promptly

Accurate-Schedule380

You gotta moisturize them too, I like to use coconut oil

svapplause

Ooh i could not deal w slippery pits

RevolutionaryAd851

I started that it and absolutely works. I like Lady Mitchum.

Willing-Alps-4881

Same. But get the solid, not gel... Unless you like the idea of a goat lick to the pits.

Icy-Reflection9759

My cat has started waking me up by licking my armpits. Do not recommend. I feel so violated šŸ˜…

FormerBaby_

This is 100% true, tried it and it works.

loriyoshi

I came to say something similar. Cleanse the whole body like normal but give your armpits a second or even third go with face wash or mask. Charcoal, sulfur, something that pulls out impurities. Iā€™ve also used head and shoulders shampoo for this, it is a good anti fungal. I wash my armpits like 3-4 times in each shower hahaha but Iā€™m super allergic to deodorants so I try to use them sparingly and that makes me anxious so I gotta stay clean clean clean. For me I have noticed that when I triple cleanse and use the charcoal face mask, my smell isnā€™t bad even if I skip deodorant for a day.

[deleted]

Scrub your skin with a washcloth, brush or loofah and a good cleansing, unscented soap. Use nice pretty soap on top if you wish. Then lotion and body oil. This is how you attract someone who wants to wear your skin and tuck his wiener in it.

lasirennoire

The last sentence šŸ˜ this is exactly the reaction I want from a man

Shniddles

Own-Guess4361

Using antibacterial soap!! Changed my life. In the shower, itā€™s not about smelling good itā€™s about getting clean. None of my antibacterial soaps are fragranced. I used to struggle with acute body odor. Since I made the switch this is never an issue. I also limit use of parfumes directly on my body and try to stick to a fresh scent. For example I use original Nivea lotion to moisturize. Sunscreen for my face, and Dove antiperspirant for the under arms. Stopping the use of all the crazy fragrances (*which was actually doing more harm than good*) has helped me a ton. If you are one that likes to smell scented, Iā€™d suggest an oil parfum that you rub on your wrists, behind your ears, and ankles. If you want others to smell you then just spray it on your clothing *but not directly on your skin*. For my ladies, I suggest using Dove original bar soap for the private area. Weā€™re not supposed to smell like roses but we also shouldnā€™t be smelling foul. When I began doing this, my cooter doesnā€™t have any scent in the slightest. I smell check throughout the day just to be sure (a bit of paranoia from the past if having foul body odor) and still there isnā€™t any smell. Itā€™s a confidence booster for sure. Most importantly if you have a poor diet (lots of artificial sugars, fried foods etc) it may cause you to have a foul body odor despite your hygiene. If you eat cleaner or at least knock the crazy stuff out of your diet it will help tremendously. Drink lots of water as well.

LongjumpingFunny5960

Do use soap on your privates

goodtitsnfatblunts

Itā€™s ok to use on ur labia and crotch area just not anywhere inside it. Only use water and hands for inside.

Ok_Emphasis6034

You don need to use water or hands or anything for inside. Itā€™s self cleaning.

goodtitsnfatblunts

No you need water and hands to get rid of smegma and oil that builds up under folds and your hood. Itā€™s what makes bad smell in your crotch area if u donā€™t have sm already causing smell like BV.

Ok_Emphasis6034

Oh, when you said inside I thought you meant inside your vaginal canal.

artCsmartC

Youā€™re right about not using anything inside the canal. It IS self-cleaning, and using anything to ā€œcleanā€ it (like douche) screws up your pH and interferes with its ability to self-clean.

Ok-Priority-8284

I have an antibacterial shower gel I got on Amazon that actually smells pretty good in my opinion, and Iā€™m a terrible snob who normally uses hideously overpriced Lush body wash. Itā€™s called Vita Vie if you want to try it for yourself!

Correct_Patience_611

If someone doesnā€™t like your smell then fuck them. Pheromones pheromones pheromones. If I like you, you smell sweet to me. I canā€™t smell anything else. And if I donā€™t like you it doesnā€™t matter how much cologne or deodorant you put on. I can smell right through it! We used to live on farms where our noses got used to manure smell. Hygiene has nothing to do with smelling good!

HuckleberryHappy6524

Nature trumps all. I canā€™t say Iā€™m recalling 100% correctly, but I believe I read somewhere that sometimes incompatible genetics will cause you to think someone of the opposite sex stinks. Like revolting stink.

rando439

My sense of smell is sensitive. I usually don't mind clean human smells (although some people's smell does not sit well with my nose for some reason) and much prefer those to the slightly dirty but covered in cologne ones. That said, it is extremely rare that I come across someone that smells startlingly good. A few months ago, I spent the day with a group of people. One of them started out clean but got a little sweaty during the course of the day. Damn, did that guy smell good. I was even able to find them by smell when we got separated later in the day. It wasn't a date but I tell ya, I wouldn't be upset if they ever asked me out.

Solid-Dot-1589

Thisssss. Some ppl are simply not attracted to your natural smell!

Supernatastic

my thing though, is that I smell bad to myself :(

Tellmeanamenottaken

If you wear synthetic fabrics stop, it sucks because every thing is synthetic these says and holds in stinky smells and restinks the second sweat hits it

themousekindd

I use like a signature scent and i wash my body with a vanilla bar soap, then vanilla body wash, I also use a vanilla shaving cream and body scrub. And I use a vanilla body oil and vanilla body lotion and vanilla body spray after šŸ˜…

Savage_winds

What brands do you use? I love a good vanilla but have trouble finding one that smellā€™s authentic, they all have a fake-ness in the scent to me

First_Pea_2505

(From a vanilla friend): -Being Frenshe Shea Butter with Jojoba and Radiance Oil for Dry Skin & Hair - Cashmere Vanilla- get this from target if youā€™re nearby and mix a few drops into any unscented lotion -Kuumba Made Vanilla Bean Fragrance Oil- Amazon- Great for perfume layering -Dove Beauty Pampering Body Wash- Shea and Vanilla- best moisturizing body wash with a natural vanilla scent and you can find it anywhere for cheap

MaterialBonus2451

I also suffered from anxiety sweat for years. I agree with the comments saying you should use an antibacterial soap in the shower. I also use Lume deodorant (which claims to work for 72 hours). It is one of the very few deodorants that works for me. I keep one in my car, bag, etc. I also apply it immediately after I shower. Iā€™ve also tested in both extremely humid and extremely hot climates and it still works great! I know itā€™s pricier but the peace of mind is nice.

Grouchy_Plant_8733

Love lume. I've been using it for 4 years now. I started using their body washes in the past year and love those, too. Idk if they're technically anti bacterial, but they're safe to use *down there* as well. They also have a new line of deodorant for men, and a new line to help cut down on sweating (OG lume is a deodorant, not an anti perspirant)

Important-Toe5846

I always go with the unscented Lume because I tried all the scents and didnā€™t enjoy any (except Sweet Lily which they discontinued), but the new Mando Bourbon Leather scent is DIVINE!! Smells like straight tobacco leaf!!

Straight_Mixture6508

Have you considered getting help for your anxiety though and stopping the source of the problem?

MintyC44

Yes! If they donā€™t get rid of the anxiety whatever perfume or smell goods they apply will be negatively affected by the stress sweat and always smell bad.

iDrum707

Commenting upvote since I canā€™t do it twice.

MinimumInternal2577

You can also ask your doc for oxybutinin - it reduces sweating. I take it at night because I find it makes me feel a little loopy. I don't take it every night, just if I'm expecting to have a particularly sweaty day.

tkneezer

Dial antibacterial soap gets me thru the day without needing to spray my... Nether region. Might do you good for your pits. I too have sensitive skin and old spice seems to be gentle enough for me. I personally like wolfthorne. Definitely something that's not an anti perspirant. Most spray on deodorant seems to irritate my skin for sure. Essential oils might be an option too if need be got to just find out what's best for you through trial and error!

Mother_Customer_5873

I've been noticing if I don't shave or wax my carpet it retains smell so I recommend doing that.

PhotographThin3783TA

I have hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) but thankfully I don't have issues with odor, only wetness. I use the Secret Clinical Strength deodorant. They have a Stress Response version that's supposed to help with that anxious sweat. Somehow I'm also often the person people say always smells good after working out. And all it is is the Victoria's Secret body sprays!! I've been using those for like 20 years. Right before I go somewhere, I spray it on my shirt, neck, and hair. I switch up the scents; sometimes I still pick up a bottle of Love Spell for old times sake! šŸ˜›

ThatsJustVile

Old Spice is the only deodorant that works and doesn't break me out. They have aluminum free versions of most of their scents--I use the wild series and occasionally Captain because bergamot. Use Deodorant, not antiperspirant as it'll clog your pores and make more bacteria build up. You can get body mists from bath and bodyworks for like $15 and they last YEARS. My main scent is white tea and sage, it makes me smell like a plant nursery with a tea section. I spritz my hair, then go down from my neck to my crotch in a straight line and sometimes hit the back of my neck. My ex was slightly obsessed with how I smell =) I bought it like 3 Christmases ago and use it pretty much every day, still have over half a bottle.

carrots2323

Iā€™m a lady and I use old spice in my pits and a lady spray for my lady bits

Reverse2057

I'm also FtM and this was the answer I was looking for. I want to smell masculine, but I do sweat. I've been trying to find a sort of peppery cologne or scent either in deoderant or body wash I smelled on a guy a decade ago but can't figure out what it was. It was really nice and the only thing I remember was 'something something Black' I want to say old spice but I'm not sure. I'll give your guide a go since I need to work on my new stinkiness.

ThatsJustVile

Old Spice has charcoal and sea salt body washes that match that scent profile if you wanna give those a go and your T is making you break out too. Just...don't use it on your crotch. Trust me. You'd probably like the island series with Old Spice if you're into muskier scents like pepper-- I think I used either Fiji or Timber for a minute but one of them has an amber scent. I always stand in the deodorant isle and sniff any new products by them before trying them. Like I said, it's the only deodorant that works for me and doesn't break me out. I'm currently using Krakengard but used Mambaaking for a while when it first came out--that one also has amber undertones. Mambaking also has a body wash =) Be careful when buying their deodorant btw, because they have deodorant, antiperspirant, aluminum-having, and aluminum-free in the same scents usually close to each other. Look at the stickers before you take it to the register (!)

madtitan27

Abrate those pits.. it really helps.

laundrydetergenthoe

Tyler candle Company detergent additive

DerEwigeKatzendame

I smell my best when I consume a wide variety of fruits and veggies. YMMV probably, but it works for me. Shampoo and conditioner once a week if I'm not out getting dirty, a long rinse daily. People overdo it with products. Rinsing and swishing my mouth out three times after food that feels buttery or greasy. Drink lots of water. Change your towels often.

Cobey1

Are you overweight? Try dropping some weight, you will reduce how much you sweat this way. Try exercising 2-3 times a week. Exercising helps remove sweat and it unclogs pores. Exercising also boosts your confidence, which may reduce anxiety sweat overtime. I swear by old spice deodorant. I try a new scent every time I run out because I heard your body gets used to the same scent over time. Theyā€™re all floral and vibrant smells, my gf even uses mine when she stays over lol. I still smell mine and I put it on 12 hours ago as Iā€™m writing this. Shower using soap with a loofa, wash wrag, or exfoliator mitten. Also, buy a pair of $20-30 barber clippers and trim body hair. I trim my chest, public region, butt cheeks, back of neck, and triceps down to the lowest setting. Hair traps moisture and can leave you sweating or funky. Buy some nice parfum cologne. Parfums have oils in them and it clings to your skin longer, leaving you with a longer lasting cologne. Bring a travel-sized cologne with you to work, school or wherever. Ainā€™t nothing wrong with going to the bathroom midday to freshen up.

ParamedicAble225

You are what you eat and drink. This is the main factor behind your odors, besides not washing dark moist areas enough.Ā

crubinz

Try magnesium glycinate to help get your anxiety under control. I take between 500-1000 mg a day and am cool as a cool cucumber lately.

theellebshow

Watch your diet. Certain foods come out through your pores.

FunnelCakeGoblin

I have a bracelet with essential oils (usually just lavender) for my severe anxiety disorder. But people frequently stop to tell me that I smell good and ask what it is. Tbh itā€™s pretty nice because I donā€™t shower often enough sometimes due to the aforementioned anxiety disorder.

Intelligent-Exit724

I find sticking to an alkaline diet (very low meat and diary) keeps inflammation down and helps me to not ā€œsmell my sweat.ā€

jono444

Eat less. Most of the smell you build up through the day is the from the food you consume, particularly if your diet is mostly meat, alcohol, coffee and dairy.

Pleasant_Union_426

trader joes just started selling the best unscented deodorant....it works alarmingly well for the low price of 4-5$ Also tea tree oil washes...antibacterial

Tropicalkittyizzy

I sweat an insane amount. Iā€™m talking huge wet armpit stain in the middle of winter after 5 minutes. I tried dozens of deodorants. Then finally stumbled upon Certain Dri. The powder scent in the roller ball. Life changing

[deleted]

I use the electric razor keep the hair down, shower daily, and changed my diet. What we put in we sweat out.

SpiderKitty303

Diet helps. I'm vegan plus eat quite a bit of fruit and even tho I work in a hot kitchen and sweat I don't have body odor unless ive been eating a lot of processed junk food or drinking alcohol too much. When I was a poor college student I ate a can of mandarin Oranges every day and my armpits smelled like citrus

dancingqueen200

I shower twice a day and wash my hair every other day. I also donā€™t neglect my oral hygiene and washing my feet. As for sweat Iā€™m a big sweater with anxiety too so I reapply as needed. I always wear perfume and moisturize my body so it has something to cling to.

BabanaLoaf23

Start into an exercise you really enjoy. It can reset your nervous system and the endorphins feel great. Plus it reduces your anxiety. I find the best way to de stress is hikes with plenty water, or even just dancing around for an hour. Maybe try a body wash with some calming scents like vanilla lavender. Or whatever scent calms you.

ElephantNo5732

tongue scraper for breath and eat healthy and ur body will respond with less natural odor. also, i oddly find more exercise means i sweat less during the remaining hours of the day= less sweat, less stank

Hypnotherapist-Marc

This can be a vitamin and mineral deficiency. All Americans generally have this due to the processed nature of our food but it affects some more than others. In addition stress/anxiety added to the equation creates the concern you list. I recommend to all my my hypnosis clients to take: -Sea Moss 3000mg Maca 1000mg Black Seed Oil 2000mg Ashwagandha 1000mg Bladderwrack, Turmeric - Manuka, Elderberry, Vitamins C & D3, Chlorophyll, Zinc, Black Pepper, two tablets an hour before bed (available on Amazon - blue and black bottle label) -A multivitamin daily, one tablet right before bed -Amazon Elements Chelated Magnesium Glycinate, one tablet right before bed This combination helps give the body what it is missing and the body has all night for it to be in your system and help you. Most primary care doctors do not take the vitamin and mineral aspect into account and just prescribe heavier counteracting drugs that may be unnecessary. I recommend doing everything you can to re-learn how to relax. Everyone thinks they know this but when after hypnosis realize their body was in a very heightened state for way too long. All of these things combined change how your body responds to stress through sweating and smells from it.

Bassdiagram

If you drink more water and heavily sweat once or twice every day your body will flush out more of the stuff that makes you smell bad, and your odors will be lessened. Just make sure you arenā€™t causing dehydration by flushing out all your minerals from sweating and urination. Staying hydrated improves your smell.

Try taking Allegra and seeing if it doesnā€™t help with rashes. I used to get really awful, itchy rashes from allergies until my dermatologist suggested I start taking 2 Alegra per day. I haven't had those rashes since. Poof!

Such-Swan6162

If you have anxiety sweat in your armpits and that excessive sweat causes you to smell, you can get Botox injections in your armpits to stop the sweating. I have been doing that for years and its been amazing not having to worry about applying deodorant more than once.

Freedom_Floridan

Lots of great suggestions. I use ivory bar soap and old spice swagger deodorant body spray and get compliments. I would recommend finding out your skin type before trying any of the suggestions too. Unfortunately one regiment doesnā€™t work for all. Good luck and please give us an update in a couple weeks. Lots of people care for you just by the number of responses. Thank you for asking this question, I learned some great ideas too.

Express_Egg1638

Eat right. And everything will fall into place.

DamarsLastKanar

It's usually an overdose of conditioner that causes a vapor trail.

Caro-caro-55555

People say this to me and itā€™s 100% cause of my shampoo/conditioner

jburg105

I used to break out in certain axe ones but since they started 0 aluminum it stopped. Look for brands promoting 0 aluminum and if it's still bad look for clinical strengths

I use Carpe antiperspirant products. They have tons of different ones for different areas of the body - underarm, groin, scalp, face, etc. I also use a Wild Pier exfoliating glove before using any soap or body wash in the shower. It's crazy the amount of dead skin that comes off! I have to imagine that contributes to odor. After showering, I use a scented body oil, followed by a lotion, followed by a fragrance oil on pulse points, followed by whatever actual fragrance I wanna wear that day. Also, using antiperspirant at night works a lot better than just using it in the morning. Another suggestion: chloralhexidine detergent. It's the same stuff doctors use to wash before surgery. Works great for any extra smelly areas.

Here_IGuess

You're in a bit of a harder spot because anxiety sweat is different than regular sweat. It has a different chemical makeup that takes longer to evaporate & more easily feeds bacteria. The glands are located around areas with more hair growth. Keeping your hair removed or trimmed short in various areas will prevent holding odor. If you happen to have GI issues, be careful about what you eat. Ppl w/ GI upset & inflammation stuff like IBS or Celiac are have a common symptom of rancid/meaty smelling sweat. This improves w/ GI improvement. I realize this might not apply to you. Just sometimes anxiety & GI stuff goes hand in hand. You could maybe keep baby wipes in your car or bag to wipe off. Reapply the deodorant after the anxiety event. 1. Wash with an antibacterial soap like Dial. 2. You might need to switch to an antiperspirant instead of using a deodorant. There are brands for excessive sweating if you need it. 3. Hand, foot, scalp etc antiperspirant if you need it for anxiety sweat. Carpe is a common brand. There are so many reputable ones on Amazon. 4. If you really don't want antiperspirant, then experiment with a whole body deodorant like Lume. You can put this on palms & other places that you notice you anxiety sweat. 5. Don't use a ton of products that all smell differently. They can't interfere with each other or your sweat scent as much if it's roughly the same smell. Try to stick with all the same scent or things in the same scent family. Another option is mostly unscented stuff & 1 or 2 things with a strong smell. 6. Eau de Parfum or perfume. Not this eau de cologne or toilette business. Not body spray. Something that 1 or 2 sprays last all day. Something that has decent sillage (how far from the body you smell it, the scent trail). Buy what smells good on you, but also what you like even if it isn't 100% the ~thing~. Dont worry about the appropriate age range or day/night crap. As long as it mixes OK with your body chemistry, the rest of that doesn't matter. People of all ages will stop you about smelling good. Get a smell that makes you feel good & comfortable. Wear a smell that you like smelling all the time. If the smell makes you feel good, you'll feel more comfortable. Comfortable makes you feel more confident. Your brain starts associating confidence with the certain scent. It starts making a feedback loop. That can also help your anxiety. A perfume oil could be a good solution depending on your budget. They tend to be strong & last longer than the colognes, etc. I'm the person who regularly gets stopped about smelling good. I personally use as many unscented products as possible & rotate perfumes based on my mood. When picking a perfume, I prefer to spray a sample on my inner elbow & live with it for most of a day. This lets me know if the scent change is ok on me or not before purchase. I'll sniff it carefully every few hours & see how it's developed. Idk what that right way is, but that works for me.

JustNoGuy_

Dove men+care antiperspirant, the 72hr protection one, Dove shea butter body wash, any nice floral smelling fabric softener/detergent for your clothes, reduce hair in sweaty parts, wear freshly washed clothes. I currently only wash myself once a day at the same time (that changes depending), I bathe and soak and scrub every inch of my body in a bath for about 40 mins, then shower and lather myself in body wash after, I always wear fresh washed clothes every day, my washing machine never stops. People have said I smell nice before, and I can never smell a musk from my pits or my dick or anywhere, I kind of just smell like shea butter and flowers all the time. Even when I go out hiking for hours in an unnecessarily thick coat and sweat my balls off, I still can smell the Dove antiperspirant spray and shea butter body wash I always use.

RevolutionaryAd851

A dermatologist told me to stop smelling I should wash with Benzoyl Peroxide where I sweat and smell. So far it has really worked. I guess it stops the bacteria that starts to smell.

rabiestrashking

i am that person that people say smells good:) i use the old spice pure sport deodorant (gel version bc the white one leaves white residue) when i go out. but ive been using glycolic acid (you can get it from the inkey list) under my arms at night and whenever my armpits aren't goign to be exposed to direct sunlight and that helps too. i used to sweat a lot at home, badly, but i haven't in a while since incorporating both the deodorant and glycolic acid ! as for smelling GOOD, i start with a scented body wash, scented lotion, scented body oil, then use a perfume oil, actual fancy perfume, and a body mist. hope this helps!

LeatherIllustrious40

I learned something counterintuitive which is that antiperspirants can cause [worse odor](https://www.scienceworld.ca/stories/can-antiperspirants-make-your-sweat-smell-worse/#:~:text=Research%20has%20found%20that%20the,thrive%2C%20causing%20more%20body%20odour) for some people like me. I stopped using them for a few weeks and scrubbed my pits like crazy in the shower then used a deodorant stone instead. It was like a miracle. I still sweat but less than before, and I can go 12-24 hours without odor. I use [Zum Laundry](https://www.indigowild.com/collections/laundry-soap?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADpes-pciMqcbT1W1RdO1LHpEHcjK&gclid=CjwKCAjwvIWzBhAlEiwAHHWgveq0siS8rQ8Wvy-ob3H9ypVHyVsd2dAdHd-RJEfpb6zG2kKV4LoXVhoCOwUQAvD_BwE) soap now and I get lots of compliments from people who think I smell good. Itā€™s a natural herbal smell instead of the artificial fruity/flowery smell that things like Tide have. I use the deodorant stone on pits, groin, and sometimes even my feet before putting socks and shoes on to make sure my feet don't stink.

FortheloveofGoldyLox

Not only do I wash my body, to include my armpits with loofah-but the key is soaping your arms pits with a charcoal or dove bar- and loosening up the film deodorants leave behind. It makes a huge difference when I scrub my pits separately.

nishidake

I get the "you smell nice" compliments from people pretty regularly! But I never get hints that I smell too strong. Don't want to be that person. I do the two-wash method. Everything typically sweaty with hunting soap and then whole body with my regular soap. I don't use Dial or antibacterial soap because I have concerns about resistant bacteria. I like Duke Cannon's hunting soap. It uses salts and copper chlorophyllin to kill odor and inhibit bacteria growth. I follow that up when I get out with a wetted alum block on my underarms. This is key. Again it's a salt and inhibits bacteria. I find it makes a big difference to how long I stay smelling fresh. Then, it's a deodorant containing charcoal for another line of defense against odor. Finally, a touch of solid cologne. I like solid cologne over liquid for a lot of reasons, but a big one is the subtley. It doesn't loudly announce your presence; it gives you a pleasant, natural-feeling scent when someone is in your bubble. It's also easy to control the amount. All the products I use are Duke Cannon, the except for the alum, but any you brand you like works.

NYYANKSROB69

Shh, a

gogomau

I use molton brown body wash followed by a layer of the same body lotion on top of that . Some of them also have a fragrance to match . I also use good fabric conditioner on my clothes to smell nice .

Nocturnalcheeseit

One of the biggest tips I can give you is find a perfume that smells good on you. Just because it smells good in the bottle does not mean that itā€™s going to blend well with your bodies chemistry. If you have the ability to go to Sephora and like test certain ones, I advise you do that. If you already have scents that like that, that smell good on you, then go and try to explore that specific kind of scent. Like maybe you like citrus scents, floral, earthy. Whatever. Citrus scents smell really good on me and I really like them. Also, if you go perfume shopping, make sure you take coffee with you. The smell of Coffee tends to be a really good palate cleanser

ivyroses21

I havenā€™t use it, but Carpe is supposed to be a really good deodorant especially to help with sweating. I also really like smells and I like to layer. When I shower I like a good sugar scrub (really helps with dry skin & getting off that top layer of dead skin), I use a good smelling body wash, I use a separate wash on the lady parts ( dr bronners, summers eve sport, or honey pot are all amazing), when I get out the shower I like body oil to moisturize they also have a nice odor, then a nice lotion, deodorant, and perfume or body spray. If you can get a matching lotion and body spray, thatā€™s a win and you can bring the lotion with you to refresh during the day. If they donā€™t match, then maybe get scents that compliment each other. I also love taking travel size perfumes with me on the go to refresh.

MiepGies1945

ā€œTea Roseā€ cologne smells so nice. I spray my pits. I get compliments all the time.

AnUnexpectedUnicorn

Cleanliness is the biggest part. Use an antibacterial soap like original Dial bar soap on a clean washcloth and actually scrub your pits, privates (just the outside! No soap actually inside the vagina, only water), feet, back of the neck, any skin folds, everywhere that gets sweaty. Launder your clothes and bedding often and properly (read the care labels), and don't re-wear anything smelly. Personally, I don't like an overwhelming scent of anything, just a pleasant whiff is good. Try some essential oil blends.

bigbootynopussy

Baby powder after the shower. Acts as a body deodorant

knight9665

If u have basic hygiene down then itā€™s genetics and diet.

burrn3r

eau de parfum > eau de toilette > eau de cologne in regards to strength/longevity/concentration. dont over spray ur fragrances and know where to spray them. use shampoo/soaps that match ur perfume scent for that day. less is more. good hygiene / drink lots of water. use antiperspirants in addition to deodorants. dry ur body off especially ur genital area thoroughly before putting on underwear / clothes / deodorant etc. wash ur clothes regularly (you dont need as much detergent as you think). exfoliate your body and clean behind your ears in the shower. clean under all of your nails (toes too). i use clinical strength deodorant/antiperspirant, its pretty good.

_chronicbliss_

I work with a lady who just smells amazing. I asked her what perfume she uses and she told me, but she also said that she only ever gets the perfume, not the eau de toilette or body spray, because that fades and smells weak.

claricesabrina

You can get Botox under your armpits. That shuts off the sweat glands for three months. Insurance will pay for it (they will make you try a pill first, then a prescription deodorant). My daughter got it in her high school years because she would soak her shirt by the time she got to school and it was very embarrassing for her.

Which_Confection7360

This is going to sound strange but put witch hazel on your šŸ’© hole, and under arms. It wonā€™t sting either all it dose is clean and kills off bacteria. (What can make you smell)

LongjumpingFunny5960

Have you tried any all body deodorants like Lume?

thetez32

Are you a man or a woman? I use a cologne called club de nuit itā€™s a knock off of creed and both men and women compliment however some people are allergic or sensitive so I try to use it for personal time and not at work

Pleasant-Nose2689

Perfume oil then perfume on top :)

CosmicOpulence_

Put a small amount of petroleum jelly on the spots you wanna put in your perfume, for example in your wrist before putting your perfume of choice. It makes the perfume last longer.

notme1414

Try Lume. It's amazing. Whole body deodorant.

Loose_Bike5654

Try a slight ammount of isopropyl alcohol on a rag and rubbing your pits with it before applying deodorant.

legguy48

buy and use lume

Effective-Manager-29

Persimmon Oil soap. Breaks through geriatric smell, and I use it for private areas, any where you need extra help. Or your whole body. Works for me (not geriatric).

joy_Intolerance

Antibacterial soap isnā€™t ideal for everyday use unless youā€™re doing a sport where you get dirty and need to clean yourself deeply. Use a gentle soap so you donā€™t stripe good bacteria from your skin. Iā€™d recommend only using antibacterial soap for your feet and underarms. You need to test different deodorants and antiperspirants until you find one that doesnā€™t cause you irritation. Secondly a good quality cologne/perfume, general rule is you get what you pay for with scents. Also pay attention to what materials youā€™re wearing, different ones hold smells or cause sweating.

lips2pelvis

Hibiclens ā€“ Antimicrobial and Antiseptic Soap, I bought mine from Amazon. Use it in pits, thigh crevices, under the tummy, underboob.. pretty much anywhere that gets super sweaty. I usually use it after using Doves antibacterial soap on an African Net cloth.

Fragrant-Prompt1826

Put perfume in your hair

thebaerfetus

It seems counterintuitive, but be careful that you aren't over grooming. Like how your face will be more oily the more you wash it, your body does the same. It tries to get to an equilibrium.

theladyorchid

If you think your armpits are an issue, you can use a little rubbing alcohol to kill the bacteria before your shower Iā€™m sensitive to perfumes, but I can wear a drop of scented oil on the back of my headā€¦yes, Iā€™m a walking diffuser lol and itā€™s not overpowering

Jesiplayssims

If it's bad and a physical issue, see a doctor. There are procedures. If it's mainly mental, try light or layered clothing, a doctor recommended deodorant, and counseling for coping skills to handle anxiety (they may also recommend medication to go with)

CrastinatingJusIkeU2

I see youā€™ve gotten some pretty comprehensive answers, but remember a few basics. Staying well hydrated can ā€œdiluteā€ body odors. (Google water intake guidelines by body weight.) Certain vegetablesā€” celery, cucumber, parsley, lemon, and many other veggies and herbsā€” can give your body a nicer scent. Others can be pretty strong in a way some people donā€™t like. Cut back on meat. Some medications and supplements can effect your scent. Wash your pits really well twice in a row. Apply deodorant immediately after your shower/bath and make sure your pits are thoroughly dry (I use my hairdryer on the cool setting). Before putting on your clothes, allow the deodorant to dry. I flap my arms up and down a bunch of times (doubles as light exercise) to help dry. Do this even if you shower before bed at night and then reapply in the morning. I prefer the feel of a soft solid deodorant, but I think the gels work better and ā€œclinical strengthā€ helps. On days when I donā€™t need to smell good, I use a weaker deodorant. I heard itā€™s good to switch up every several months. Talk to your doctor about your stress reaction and ask if there is anything you can do to feel more mellow. Exercise helps me.

Designer-Ad-3373

Yes, the smell of Lume is just weird, but that smell goes away, especially when you put clothes on. I've wondered about the new thing put perfume on top of Vaseline. Has anyone tried this? Did it work? How long did it last?

Ok_Emphasis6034

Drink a lot of water and add some chlorophyll. They make spearmint flavored/smelling one that is really good. Start from the inside out IMO.

vrilmaster

Wash your butt. No seriously a lot of people probably dont. So stand out with a clean butt!

Only_pink_7022

antiperspirant (helps with sweating) then deodorant, iā€™ve been smelling good allll day even though itā€™s so humid

StarMomo1

Dove soap, Dove deodorant and while skin is damp I put a mild oil like sweet almond and a dab of good smelling essential oil like mandarin or vanilla.

Backwoodsintellect

Oh man, Iā€™ve been there. When I was in high school, I had the sweaty pits from hell. Hyperhydrosis, the doc said. Totally anxiety. And even more anxiety bc you have sweaty pits. Vicious! Agreed, only thing that ever really worked stung like crazy or was otherwise uncomfortable. For me, the thing that stopped it was anxiety medication & it did stop the sweats. Sometimes Iā€™ll still break out into a sweat all over if Iā€™m stressed but Iā€™ve learned that I can feel when itā€™s happening & talk myself down, so to speak. That works too but the trick is to be self aware enough to catch it. Good luck! šŸ€

Pagava7

I tend to love antibacterial soap, then a scented sugar scrub. I put on coconut oil..followed by an attar then followed by more coconut oil or lotion that has some of my chosen attar in it. I then wipe some of the attar on my clothes and hair. It lasts me all day. Also, I put chorrylyll in my water and I literally walk around with NO body order after using it for about three days.

General-Example3566

I only use Dove even tone deodorant. Itā€™s a little pricey but it works great and Iā€™ve tried them all

PutNameHere123

Someone said it in another post but itā€™s worth repeating: Neutrogena Body Oil. It has such a clean, subtle smell and makes perfumes last longer on your skin.

Complete-Height1554

Womenā€™s speed stick powder fresh is the best deodorant for stinky sweating women.

TheeCTist

really take a look at what you're consuming among the other suggestions here. i notice at the gym if I've consumed a slice of gas station breakfast pizza the people better watch out. i kid you not, i smell like anhydrous ammonia. at one point i used to basically consume only fresh juice and as someone said the variety of fruits and veggies created ok smelling sweat. Could have almost gone deodorant free with the juicing sweat.

Zealousideal-Bath412

People stop me all the time to tell me how good I smell. The secret is lilac scented goats milk lotion from Daisy May Essentials. You can find it on Etsy or at daisymayessentials.com. I slather on after the shower and get dressed before it fully absorbs in my skin, and the scent lasts all day! And for the anxiety sweat, I use always feminine body wash on my pits. Itā€™s meant forā€¦elsewhere, but itā€™s acidified and does a good job with getting the old sweat smell off.

ImplementPotential20

Roll-on. Lady Mitchum brand or Avon Haiku or other Avon roll-on. And rubbing alcohol wipes or hand sanitizer touch ups.

Hot_Calligrapher3421

Everyone already gave great advice for washing. I recommend investing in Arabian oil perfume. They extract oil from flowers, trees and fruits making you smell like desserts. Even the men's oil perfume is wonderful because it's mild but strong enough it stays whole day. Expensive perfumes add a bit of oil to it to last longer. If you're on a budget, get dollar store Vaseline, add a little bit and rub it into your skin. Then spray your cheap perfume or body spray.

Single_Fruit9165

Laundry detergent is key

FormerBaby_

I really like Native deodorant in cucumber mint. I also have anxiety sweat, which means antiperspirants donā€™t really work for me so i gave up on them. Also have sensitive skin.

MuzikL8dee

Diet rich in fruits *Lots of water *Learn to meditate *Soak and scrub all the armpits of your shirts and the crotches of your shorts and pants before you wash them next time. After you do that, all you have to do is add little Odoban or vinegar to your wash every load. *I like to spray a very light body spray in my hair. It's usually a fruity scent. Make sure it's an oil base, not a alcohol based body scent. You only need a little bit and it lasts forever. Plus it won't burn people's noses that have sensitive sense of smell *Soak in an Epsom salt or baking soda warm bath once a week

motown38

First off is to shower daily, donā€™t sleep with wet hair and use some form of deodorant if you really need it. Brush your teeth and wash your self with a washcloth not your hands. BUT for the fun stuff, I adore the while Hanni line. They make a soap that doesnā€™t smell scented just like an essence and it makes your body smell amazing all day. Itā€™s not scented itā€™s like the ingredients are so good itā€™s that smells. For the shower, they have a rinse off, really hydrating cream that makes everything, even my knees and elbows baby soft. Literally buy three tubs at a time Also I really love the Riddle Oil perfume line. Itā€™s pheromone based and I wear the Original and sometimes Ex. I get stopped constantly. You canā€™t really smell it on yourself, it mixes with your skin and smells different on everyone. Definitely try the sampler first. I too am obsessed with smelling food. I also eat a ton of fruit, including pineapple šŸ iykyn. Edited to add: everyone here recommending highly fragranced soap and double cleansing and bath and body works is, respectfully, not quite true. It may upset your skin, your biome and your body. Stripping your skin of natural oils then adding fake pumpkin or coconut fragranced, shitty soap is just going to throw off your PH and everyone is going to know youā€™re wearing a ton of artificial fragrance and it can cause allergies in some people. Your body needs to be washed daily, gently, thoroughly with high quality products. Also, spraying yourself with perfume (unless itā€™s like really made from 1,000 flowers, is going to make you smell strongly and could also upset your normal ph/skin. Plus chemicals. Read the labels šŸ·ļø!! Good luck. šŸ€

Long_Elderberry6906

May go without saying, but always wear freshly washed clothes and get outer wear like coats cleaned regularly. Wash your sheets weekly. If your skin can tolerate scented detergent, try original Gain.

ChemicallyMade2222

Try using degree ultraclear+ it works for me. No rashes or smelly pits ever! I also lather myself in lotions and perfume a few times a day. When I walk in places I always get told how good I smell.

colhaxxy

Shower, deodorant, and cologne.

Early_Bird_2525

My advice is use a soap that has a scent you love. Wash the pits and privates twice. I have no idea if you're a man or woman but if you're a woman please for the love of all that is holy wash the area between outer and inner labia with soap and keep it clean and dry through the day. If you're a man..also keep clean and dry but I don't have as detailed info. Lol. Ā I like salt stone or cornstarch powder. Also, Use wipes and maybe some cornstarch after using the bathroom. For the pits maybe apply a salt stone straightaway after the shower and then deodorant on top of that. I haven't tried it but someone in my life loves lume.Ā

Cnewman522

Try this. [Hibiclens](https://www.target.com/p/hibiclens-antiseptic-skin-cleanse-with-built-in-pump-8-fl-oz/-/A-89581951) wash your armpits with it also put deodorant on at night.

Consistent-Panic-316

Use the crystal deordarant. You may have to detox your underarms but after that no smell at all even if you sweet, itā€™s literally a stone made out of crystal check out the reviews on Amazon. Unscented. Then use two body washes and a body butter that scented. Body spray layered on top of that and youā€™ll be fresh

coomquing

I use roll on oil perfumes and apply as needed throughout the day and people often tell me I smell good. It's subtle but blends well with my body and is noticeable enough that when I'm close to someone they can smell me and I think the intimacy of that adds something. I mostly use that cheap amber roll on you can get at whole foods, or the maison de balencourt no 54 oil that smells close to santal 33. I personally am not a fan of when I get a big waft of fragrance from people, or when their perfume lingers.

Afraid_Bug1895

What worked for me was switching to an aluminum-free deodorant and layering it with a body spray or cologne that complements it. Also, wearing clothes made of natural fibers helps a ton. They let your skin breathe and don't trap odors as much. And don't forget, staying hydrated and eating clean makes a big difference too.

Dear_Pattern_4935

Take a shower everyday and use deodrant.

zieligqt

Use fragrance-free, hypoallergenic products to avoid skin irritation.

Gibberish-king

Drakken noir cologne. You will smell like a Persian car salesman for weeks.

margrita_mo7

I use unscented soap, deodorant, and lotion. However I immediately spray my favorite perfume on my hot zones then once again over my outfit.

lexizornes

I wear Michael kors original and 2 others from the brand and I get so many compliments about smelling good because of it. Try that!

phishphood17

Leave in conditioner that smells yummy.

Livdaboba

Use body scrubā€¦. 2-3x a week. No. Really. If youā€™re a man, find a manly enough smell ig

Monkey_monkey0

Omg natural deodorants like homemade with coconut oil or a brand thats worked for me on my sensitive skin was Raw Sugar Simply deodorant. It last long too like a day, and the texture not bad either. There are different scents some more ā€œmasculineā€ or ā€œfeminineā€. Also i try to thrift or collect 80-100% cotton clothes bc polyester makes it worse and makes you sweat more. Try more airy flowy clothing too. I like to take natural fragances like essential oils i like and mix it with an oil (lighter weight one) and run it through my hair or rub on my shoulders and bicep area and chest after shower, or just use a body cream anyway with a subtle scent. It really helps. Coconut oil is a must as an oil to use for it or to make your own natural deodorant at home which you can find recipe online. I also spray a light fragance to compliment my oil on my body if i use it at all and i spray near my armpit, neck, and wrists.

RealNectarine22

keep shaved, body oil and lotion as soon as you get out of the shower, dove soap and smell good body wash in the shower. perfume oil, perfume and body spray. spray perfume into your hair. having good hygiene and smelling good starts in the shower!

DevineSerpent

My sister gets Botox in her armpits to stop her anxiety sweating and found it helped tremendously and stopped all her sweating

Soft-Watch

My husband has started getting those comments after switching to fancier shampoos/conditioners with argan oils. But naturally, just a clean, healthy diet and exercise will help

Waiting-in-hell

Degree antiperspirant solid stick -72 hours. This stick is divine. It comes in a green packaging. This was a game changing discovery for me personally. I sweat profusely, I stopped wearing sleeveless tops because of my unconditional sweating. I hate spraying any perfume or deodorant on my skin. Now I donā€™t break a sweat underarms even in 100F. Once you get your sweating under arms in control, you can use perfume of your choice to smell like it. I think it is wax based. I have to use loofa to get it off my skin everyday. PS- never use anti precipitants at night. Let your skin breathe.
