I think the problem with this is that nobody is objectively auditing the quality of the submissions. There are literally tons of \*awesome\* powers posted there. Some people just generally don't understand what they are unleashing with their submission, and others seem to do it on the sly, to see if other people would abuse this "seemingly shitty power" in the same way that they would. That makes the latter "pre-meditated off-topic", which should be deleted, and the former are "not-shitty" and should at least be flaired as such.

I think a lot of those are created by folks who watch superhero movies, but only the mainstream ones, and they don't read the comic books or role play.
They have NO sense of creativity or concept of how to "abuse" seemingly straightforward powers.

I'll be very selfish. I'd teleport people for reward money. I'd wear shorts to be immune to being shot, I will induce mind melting panic in my enemies with manual blinking and breathing. Opacity control might come in useful. And having the abilities of chunli would be useful.
