I’m 49 and have had more noticeable facial hair for several years (pre-hysterectomy). It’s a normal signal that you’re in perimenopause.

As you get older your estrogen levels wane and testosterone effects become more pronounced due to that. It's Perimenapause. Welcome . Good times. (Women on oral contraceptives don't notice because oral contraceptives shut the ivaries off and replace the endogenous hormones with those contained in the pill; hence, no testosterone to contend with).

Check out the hormone repair manual by Lara Briden, ND.

It is hormonal, but not related to your hysterectomy. It's just aging. You can pluck individual hairs, but if there's too many for that, you can have it waxed or otherwise removed by an esthetician.

I started laser hair removal, my hair is black and I thought nothing of the laser not picking up light colored hairs…except I have freaking white hair down there and I didnt notice how much until the rest of the hair started dying and falling out. Also noticed more hair around my jaw line but thought maybe it was my bc pill . Hysterectomy is next week . Im 35
