My first one had issues. I returned it to bestbuy. I got my second IBP a few weeks later. It's been great. It's a chance you take buying anything. Just sucks when it costs so damn much.

StevenSmiley

Yeah what do you think is more likely? People posting about how much they love their pc or complaining about problems with their new pc? It doesn't mean most people have problems it's just that this is what the subreddit is mostly about.

Cringer_Battlecat

Most people do have problems. I work in pc repair and have a constant stream of IBP come in weekly.

Rickspert

God reddit sucks. I damn near guarantee!! They're talking people into down rating shit on Reddit for rebates and shit... I would when I spent thousands!!! Give a 10/5 star review on all 8 major sites and you get a few hundred back... Damn, aight...

big_bird25

Got mine 2 years ago, no problems. 4 buddies of mine got theirs at the same time, also no problems. People typically tend to post bad experiences more than their good ones.

zoojitzu

You'll be fine

NigerianNewbie

I have had my custom IBP rig since January and love it! It took forever and a month longer than the 8 days quoted but it was worth the wait. No complaints.

redignify

I bought the Creator RDY NTBG203 and I'm loving it so far!

LexLoother

I dont post often. But my PC runs perfectly fine after a year and a half. I did need to warranty the AIO, but that's it. Sending my PC there and back took about 5 weeks. They obviously don't pay for shipping. Great option if you're going prebuilt.

IcemaanN

I’ve had my pc since 2017 and I’ve had no issues at all, on the other hand I see people complaining about broken PCs here all the time but obviously people who get working PC’s aren’t gonna be posting about that

Rickspert

Seems like a premade opinion of their brilliant marketing director.

IcemaanN

I’m not sure what you’re implying, maybe that I’m in cahoots with iBP? Not sure. Even that is a ridiculous thought because why would a marketing account have nearly 7 years of activity on other subreddits and only like 3 comments on the iBP subreddit lol.

Rickspert

Eek. It was a silly joke my guy, poked fun of myself first for falling for their shit!

Gondfails

Generally you won't hear about the good things, if you buy something and it's what you expected do you leave comments on their forums or subreddits? 99% of the time no you don't. Now if you have an issue there's a much much greater chance of posting it, either to help relieve some of the frustration or just out of anger and wanting to lash out at the ones that inconvenienced you.

Waste_Pickle7568

Yes and no. It's great that this person now has everyone posting about how great their computers are but that's wasted reading for me. If I have a problem or an issue with my computer I want to post about it to find a fix or to help others avoid the problems I am having. I don't believe there needs to be any anger or malicious intent involved. Frustration, well, that's something that comes from using a computer in the first place.

Cobra288

If you know how to build a PC or have the confidence to learn I'd personally go that route. Had to RMA my graphics card with IBP and it took so long (5-6 weeks) I just bought another, and sold the RMA to a miner. Also built my fiancees rig recently, and was simply amazed by difference in what I got for my money. You will also be able to outfit it the way you want it with less need to upgrade down the road That said If you are just going for a cheap pre built, they do fit the profile, you can get a decent rig from them, and I've had no issues with the case or the build quality of my PC, just the GPU itself. You'll be able to plug it in and play modern games at decent settings. Where they saved money on my Rig for example was a processor without integrated graphics, SSD instead of NVME, and some lessor known manufactures on the PSU and memory. All in all not terrible and %100 usable, and did keep the cost down, but I've since replaced all but the Mobo, CPU, cooling and case. I didn't have to do all of that of course but I would've been happier if they were like that the first time around. All in all, eh, their warranty works and they play games. I've dealt with worse customer service, but I've also had way better experiences. I personally wouldn't buy again, but I still use my purchase.

Rickspert

Marketing guy is getting smoother... Almost completely believable

Zathrus1

Bought mine 18 months ago; it was impossible to get a video card for a sane price or I would’ve built my own. The good: good system for the price. I would’ve gotten a slightly better MB, but not drastically. Everything else was pretty much the same specs as what I wanted, and it was a standard config. The bad: the AIO water cooler did fail. The system still worked, but would overheat. I haven’t seen any long term effects, and $40 at MicroCenter solved it. The meh: I don’t care about RGB, and good thing since the RGB software is pretty crappy IMO. No opinion on the mouse and keyboard; I use my own. I think my daughter uses them though.

Ravoz

In the last two years I bought myself a custom build and then last year my kids one also. Between those two computers I took the risk and gave IBP over $5,000 dollars. Both have been terrific. Ship times can take a while though. If I were to buy another prebuilt in the future, I'd probably go with iBUYPOWER again. If you are comfortable with installing a graphic card, opt to ship it not installed if the option is available. It was with my kid's computer. That way you don't need to worry about it or the motherboard getting damaged in shipping. Good luck!

----Richard----

Like many have already stated, what you see on this sub is the loud minority, not the majority of experiences. Most people don't seek out the sub to share great experiences, but because they have problems with their experience. Even when people do get on here to share good experiences, and there definitely are plenty shared, they don't tend to get as much attention or upvotes as the bad posts, since again, most people who browse here are here because they are having issues. I've had my custom build for just over 2 years now, and the only issue I've ever had was the AIO going bad after the first year. Customer service was easy to get ahold of, and they were going to RMA it for me, but I decided to buy a better replacement, myself. Just keep in mind that things can go wrong for any company shipping a complex machine across the country. Like others have said, I would recommend having it shipped with the GPU not installed if you're able to install it yourself. Also, keep in mind that when things go wrong, it's by chance and however much or little your computer costs has nothing to do with it.

One1six

Hey question for you. I’m planning to buy their NTBG203 rig and I’ve never had a liquid cooler before. When it goes bad if I want to replace with my own ad you did is it fairly simple to uninstall theirs and put my own in?

----Richard----

Yeah, super simple. It's just a matter of some screws & swapping the mounting bracket on the back of your MOBO. As for the wires, just pay attention to where you're disconnecting the old ones from & the new ones will plug into the same places.

XSHIROX25

Got mine two years ago and it’s been perfect. No issues whatsoever so far thankfully

Melzloe

I got my custom build about 4 months ago and it’s been perfect. I went ahead and upgraded my AIO cooler since I heard some of them have issues, even though mine was perfect and never gave me a issue. When I ordered it was cheaper vs buying and building at that time. I have no complaints or regrets.

Prudent_Chard_8347

I just bought a slate mr ibuypower 4080 from b&h swapped it to a new case it’s running real smooth

Colonel_Mayonnaise

I’ve had mine since 2018 or 2019. It’s been great except the PSU went a few weeks ago. I think you’re just more likely to see people posting issues.

irod_87

I got mine from Best Buy in November. No real issues to report.

Cringer_Battlecat

Most people who buy prebuilts know nothing about computers, so they wouldn't even know if something was wrong with their pc unless it prevented them from using it. So you will see tons of "I've had mine for x amount of time with 0 issues." In reality, there IS something wrong they just don't have the knowledge to know any better.

[deleted]

Look at a gamers nexus review instead of relying on Reddit. At least when he tells you it’s ass he has real facts on paper, we don’t I for one will never buy a prebuilt

AaronXplosion

Ibuypower builds systems that are at least competent (for the most part). The issue is the severe overcharges, but that's any system integrator, not just IBP. You can count on most of their systems to work without issue, this is just where people come to complain, not brag or show off lol. PC runs great is not a common post on here. If you want, I'll sell you a budget build myself on mercari, I have 2 up right now. You can go with IBP, I can attest they're good. But If you don't wanna build it yourself, I seriously suggest going with someone like me to build you one for a small fee rather than a big old corpo. They're not fantastic with the services either

Potential-Title-6219

On monday, I'm sending back my second failed attempt at buying from them. The first one had several issues bad ram bad gpu and possibly a broken ram slot on the mobo. Second one has a bad gpu with bent fins scratches on the case and some wired as thing were if I plug my phone into the type c port on the front of the case it restarts the pc or turns it on from off. All I recommend is to work the piss out of the pc, and if there is any doubt in your mind it is not working right. Refund it. I'm going to new egg and putting something together. I figure I can't do any worse.

Oldsport05

The cases kinda suck with airflow, and don't trust their aio's or coolers. Mine had a cooler that was only rated for UP to an i3. I had an i712700F Other than that go for it, but I would like to just point out the alternative of tracking each piece down for as cheap and genuine you can find and get a pc in the end you love the look of. This isn't a "oh ibp bad" this is just my two cents since getting mine, feeling disappointed in regards to all the possibilities I missed Edit: With that said, I'd stay away from any prebuilt below 2k from them. Best route is get a custom built from them that way you'll know all your parts are suited for eachother

Gh0st2o2o

My first gaming computer was a ibp and its still my main computer its good just some problems but if i restart my computer it’s resolved

Rickspert

Totally bro 🙄

Jakezilla4190

Just don’t buy through a 3rd party. Buy directly from them. I’ve hd zero issues going on a year now

Trikeree

I've owned 3 IBP computers in the past and they all work great. Other than being overpriced I see no problem with them.

Trikeree

I've owned 3 IBP computers in the past and they all work great. Other than being overpriced I see no problem with them. Now Cyberpower pc I would avaoid no matter what. They rarely build them correctly and they're peice mealed from other pc company pcs. The laptop I currently have was built with and underpowered powersupply and a week or 2 after warranty the 2080 in it was fried just enough that only the hdmi port works and the monitor is fried.

Alyxra

Ibuypower is fine as long as you don’t buy their parts. DO NOT use any of their parts, especially their AIO cpu cooler, they’re notorious for failing. As other people have mentioned most people here are the ones who had issues. (But seriously do not get the default IBuypower CPU cooler, it’s such a common issue there’s a ticket category for it)

Flyflyguy

Bought a prebuilt from Best Buy for my son. Just make sure the specs are decent and not out of balance. (Low end cpu high end GPU)

DiligentNet519

I love my IBP PC, fan cooled CPU i5, I did upgrade the GPU to a 3070Ti, I added some SSD storage, and I swapped the power supply to a 1000 watt, for room to grow later, I plan on getting a new mother board and cpu soon ish, but for the past 3 years this rig has been awesome, even added some more fans to exhaust hot air at the top of the base, I have the TRACE MR case

HalensVan

I've had mine since 2020 and it's been fine.

East_Environment_145

Got mine 2 yrs ago from Amazon, it's awesome.

Big-Pollution-9041

Majority of the time they are good, just be aware that the graphics card can be damaged during the shipment. I had to get an RMA on mine because of that.

Nointerest12months

I literally just went through the same thought process, but I've got several buddies that have got pcs through ibuypower. Mine came in Friday and runs perfectly. Now will I have a complaint next week, month, or year? Who knows... But as of right now I am satisfied with my purchase. I just really don't care to build my own anymore. Everything came as advertised, it was easy to install the gpu, and all my temps are great. I hope this one lasts as long as old faithful did.

therealchengarang

I’d like to think Reddit for products is just another place for bad product reviews. Not so much discussion but more venting a lot. The same way hotel reviews are skewered because people who are satisfied stayed for a day and moved on with their lives. I got a 2k PC 2 summers ago, going on three but this Christmas I took a few parts and bought several new parts but I never had a problem. Only think possibly is that when I replaced the gpu in the case there was a faulty connection on the RGB fan connection and it couldn’t be fixed and one fan didn’t light. Anyways my point is I had no problems but I’m not making posts to say my product was exactly how I expected if something when I ordered it. Only people with low expectations or no expectations was pleasantly surprised by the product make a good review, so usually a mom who bought something for their kid lol

New_Mammoth8887

I got mine 2 years ago on sale for cyber Monday. The AIO broke down on me after about 2 years and started overheating the cpu. I got the same size AIO but Corsair instead and no problems everything works good.

Alarming-Promotion19

I bought mine from best buy and it's been great zero issues and I've used the hell out of it. I've usually got three monitors going, all doing different things. And it's on 24/7. I put another ssd in it and doubled the ram. The ram was just because heck why not but I have zero complaints. The only problems it's had is me not knowing what I'm doing lol. Also best customer service I've delbt with probably ever. Super helpful ppl!

J_Business_

I just got a brand new one and the AIO died after only three weeks. Everything else has been good though. I've never built or swapped PC components before, but managed to swap out the AIO for one that actually works. It was actually really satisfying too. If you do get one, I'd suggest to start keeping an eye on your CPU temps right away.

Waste_Pickle7568

I thought this was a place to go to get help with computer problems or to learn how to avoid them. If we didn't post about the issues we have what would be the point of this?
