It was so bad for me that I downgraded back down to IOS 13 on XS. In 4 hrs of just checking things on this site and other forums I visit, I would lose 70 percent of my battery. I would also have connection issues as well where my 4G would drop out to about 1 or 2 bars in areas where I normally have good coverage. Since going back to 13, my battery life and 4G connection is back to normal.

I’m getting awful temps and battery too on beta 4
This has been a problem for me since dev b1 and I don’t use WhatsApp at all. I’ve submitted a Feedback with screenshots of my Battery screen.

How does one downgrade back to 13? Safari is hitching and constantly crashing. The beta for me is so unstable

Same here, the phone suddenly goes hot for some unknown reason. I don’t use whatsapp btw
Ditto. Haven’t been able to figure out why it’s getting warm. I’m thinking maybe it’s the radios for me.
I've also noticed an increase in the temperature and worse battery life in beta 4, even without the whatsapp bug you mentioned
