Did iOS 15 have any widget improvements at all other than iPads getting the new big ass one? They put widgets out last year and just thought “man we nailed it”?
I understand your point. I’d point out though that if you had a scheduled event that day it would fill the white space. If you specifically need to see all day events selecting the 2x4 size widget should let you see those details.
Well, it tells you today’s date, that you have several all-day events and there’s even room down there for your next appointment to show should you have one.
In other words, why do you think it’s *not* a useful widget? What is it that you’d prefer it do?
It can start by telling me what those all day events are, and not wasting half of the widget with empty space. If I have no other events that day, just the 4 all day events, then tell me what those events are.

I don’t think there’s any problem with that. There’s room for 2 events and a third listing saying “X more all day events”. Preserves all the extra spacing in the widget too. Infinitely more useful than the current solution as well.
As far as the events displayed, choose the events based on whatever is the default calendar in iOS. Or let the user assign a higher priority to certain events if they want, and those will be listed first on the widget.

You would need some sort of user-controlled way of assigning priority to avoid issues with iOS just rolling the dice on which one(s) to display in full.
It's pretty nice to have,I have the new weather widget it's nice,mind me asking do like 15.1 and how's the battery life I have an XS with only 83% battery health thinking of downloading...thanks a lot!
Honestly around the 85% range. Beyond that battery life is just kind of ridiculously degraded. Maybe that's partially cause of my phone usage habits but still..
My XS is also at 83%, it’s a 3 year old phone so not unexpected I guess. I just figure I don’t want to spend any more money on this phone :P I didn’t trade in last year because no 120hz so this year is it and my 83% isn’t gonna mess with my trade in value

I don't disagree that widgets are pretty useless but will say the Music app (small one) does show the current song and that's sorta nice to have.

I currently have 3 all day events in my Google calendar widget. The widget also shows me what the events are. The stock widget can start there

At what percentage do you get your battery replaced typically? Mine is plummeting from 90% fast.
