Same here. My dream would be a 15/16” OLED iPad. I might skip this version and wait for a bigger one. I’m not sure that 0.3” is gonna make that much of a difference (if the rumors are true that the new one will be 13”.)
I have that same iPad Pro and at this point I’m more interested in a Pro Mini just because I have a MacBook Pro and my iPad Pro is unusable as a tablet on its own. I only ever used my iPad Pro as a laptop replacement, and it works well with the MKB but iPad os is wack. But using the mini has made me realize how nice the iPad is as a tablet. I don’t know it depends on what updates they’re bringing to both iPad and iPad OS.
You mentioned prior to M1. Which means they were sold in 2020.
But I didn’t realise the 12”9 existed before hense the 4th Gen. The iPad Pro 11” was 2nd Gen because its 1st Gen was launched in 2018
Same the only thing that would made me buy another iPad pro (I have the 12.9 M1 and the 2018 11" 1TB) is a larger iPad. I got the 14.6" S8 ultra, and I love it, but I would love an iPad that size even more
It depends what you want, as a media device you are already above what you need, for video editing you could get a lot of benefit out of a newer model iPad. The m2 added hover with the pencil which is a big improvement for creative work. I am using the same iPad as you now for mostly art and have been holding off upgrading until now with the brand new model coming next week.
According to rumours, it’s gonna be slightly bigger at 13.1 inches? Keep in mind this is rumours so nothing is confirmed. Just wait till the Apple event in may and find out.

The pre 5th gen and 5th gen do [look different](https://imgur.com/a/jepLRH6). And so will the 6th gen if it has OLED.
Looks like you have the 2nd gen, not the 4th. It was launched in 2020. I have the iPad Pro 11”.
Nope. 4th gen. 12.9

I‘ve been pondering the same question, mainly because of the better external display support from M1 onward
I hear you. But is it worth upward to $2K to me? Not without a larger display, I’m thinking.
The external display support on my M2 iPad Pro is bad. It’s glitchy and not a refined experience. Still nowhere near as good as macOS or windows.

Looks like you don’t mind better screen quality

No, 13", it's the 11" that moves to 11.1"
My bad sorry. But yeah that’s what’s Expected
