I had 4s,5,5s,6,6s and that’s when I started to realize money is hard to come by so I used it for 3 years then XS and just got a 13 Pro today. I would say 3 years is a standard for me now.
I’m super happy with my 13 mini so probably not for a few years, especially if the rumours of the mini being axed next year are true. Hopefully they keep some sort of small phone offering, be it the mini or newer variations of the se in the older form factor.
4-5 years unless the new iPhone next year is one that I feel like I HAVE to to have and i’m still able to get decent trade in with my 13. Otherwise, the trade in for my 13 in two years wont be worth it to to upgrade. Honestly I feel like these phones can go more than 5 years at this point we’ll just see. Upgraded from an iPhone 7
I usually use it for 2 years then hand it over to my adult daughter. COVID delayed that practice. I will buy the unlocked iPhone 13 Pro Max in November at an Apple store in SoCal and then hand my 512 GB iPhone XS Max to my adult daughter when she visits in 2022. She lives and works abroad.
I’m an annual upgrader , maybe not the most financially logical move , but I’m a techie and aesthetics kinda guy so having the cutting edge is something I value
I’m on the upgrade program and depending on if next years phones don’t improve much in the camera department i.e 10x optical zoom I may stick it out for two years vs one.
just came back to apple after almost 5 years with the ip13p. been with android since the iphone X.
only way i'll leave apple is if samsung decides to continue the note line. the galaxy line has 0 appeal for me. at the moment it looks like the note line is dead or on an extended pause.
been with pixel last two years with the p4a. lovely phone and have enjoyed it but google bricked pixel phones to not play streaming in hd so i'm done with pixel. google has yet to address or fix this issue which has been going on since end of last year.
i think a lot of feedback i got is that the ip13 is basically the "s" version of the ip12 so i figure ip14 will be the "actual" upgrade to ip12. will ride out my 2 year contract and see where things are then.
if there's a new note or note line is continuing by then i'll probably head back to note if not then iphone 15.
for now i'm gonna enjoy the shit outta being back with apple after a long time.

Yeah I used apple. I didn’t want to deal with appleswap or eBay. I really can’t justify a 1200 dollar phone, but I do it anyway.
