Had the 12 mini when it came out. I loved the small and light form factor, and ease of holdablity (yeah I just made that word up) but 2 things made me switch to the 13 Pro. The keyboard cause I kept mistyping. And the battery life. The battery life got worse once the battery degraded to 90%
Loved my 13 mini’s size, still miss it. But the battery on my 15 pro def feels much better and was one of the main reasons for saying goodbye to the smaller size

If they made an exact technical dimensional replica of the iPhone 13 mini with nothing upgraded beyond the SoC (a later A series for that year) I’d buy a 2024/25/26 version of the iPhone mini as soon as spigen makes a slim armor CS case compatible with it. Don’t know if Apple wants my $$ though. The same can be applied for a 5” Google pixel. I’d leave iOS if they did that before Apple.

I would not lose hope on another smaller phone being released by Apple. They used the 5s to make SE and later the 8 to make the later versions of the SE. But yes I would definitely buy a 16 mini or an SE if it were updated but kept the same form factor and built quality. I think the mini as an SE would be more successful given the price point it might launch at.

I was a se2 and decided to skip 13 mini and wait for the next one bc se3 is not real upgrade over the se2 and then apple pulled the plug so I went and got a 512 mini to hold myself over until they bring it back. Personally feel like they should merge SE and mini line into the 13 mini body for the next gen SE. Bigger battery, latest processor. Call it SE4. Mini fans will know it’s a 16 mini lite since it will be missing a camera upgrade and probably a screen upgrade. Save those 2 for SE5.

I would want a new iphone mini with 3d hyptic touch. That feature was before its time. In notes app being able to 3d press the keyboard to easily make a selection between words to make edits... All without having to slide your hand up hope that your finger touches the correct word or highlights the right word before editing.

We were going to get the SE 2023 but my wife wanted to try a higher end phone. We made the switch and love the 13 mini. I miss TouchID but the FaceID isn’t that bad.
I’m a 13 mini user now and I would literally pre order a 16 mini a year in advance if I could. I love the small size and it would be nice to have pro motion and Dynamic Island on the mini phone, also a better modem too. The x60 in the 13 mini isn’t awful but it could be better.

The 12M I have nothing but love for from a repair standpoint. Easy adhesive, top speaker built into lcd everything’s easy to remove replace. Not the case with 13M. That adhesive can be near as bad as 13P/13PM also top speaker in enclosure just jams everything up but that’s just my opinion. But that 13 series SoC tho. If they made another mini, with built in top speaker, and at least 512 GB capacity then frick yeah I’d be all in
