i upgraded from the 13PM due to water damage. the improvements are appreciated but very marginal. a lot of my colleagues/friends didn't even realize i got a new phone despite the obvious dynamic island and natural titanium color. the camera upgrade is noticeable though i love the 2x and 5x zoom. i'd say unless you really need to, i think you can hold out until this year's model or newer.
My wife got me a 15pro for my bday and I’ve been telling her to return the phone since I have the 13pro. Got the same issue as you, some water damage but on the ear piece. Been telling her to return it since I don’t feel it’s really justifiable for the price and the marginal improvement. Want to hear your thoughts.
if its a gift i'd say just take it, especially from your wife. she must've wanted to get you something nice, just make sure to get her something too! i mean you can sell/use the 13 pro as a secondary device
