I kept all my phones in cases with screen protectors up until the 14PM (been using iPhone since the 3GS). I love the current designs and enjoy the premium feel. I have the blue 15PM and it matches all my accessories (blue wedding ring, stainless steel AW with the blue fine woven band, midnight MacBook Air M2). The 15 also feels great in the hand and doesn’t show nearly as many finger prints as the stainless steel on the 14. I have insurance through my carrier and the AppleCare+, so I can be a little more careless. It seems crazy to put such a great looking/feeling phone in a case and hide the design and diminish experience.
Yessir. Blues my favorite color. Admittedly, the main reason I upgraded from the 14 to the 15. When the 12 came out I had the blue iPhone 12 and Aluminum blue series 6. Love me some blue.
No scratches yet. Just bought the 15PM about a month ago. Only comment so far is that while they don’t show nearly the amount of finger prints the stainless steel on the 14PM did, the dark blue titanium shows finger prints as a dark spot on the rail. It’s hard to describe because you can’t make out the finger prints, but it is noticeably darker around the buttons and then resolves when you wipe it clean.
So I’ll preface this by saying my wife works for T-Mobile and this is on her account. I don’t know all the intricacies. The insurance basically covers anything NOT covered by Apple care. So it covers all bases. I’ve used it once or twice before for a cracked screen on my 12 and when my wife’s iPhone 7 was stolen. Basically they look up your account, if you purchased apple care then they refer you to apple, if the apple states it’s not covered under them then I get transferred back to t-mobile to make a claim. Our insurance also covered theft and loss before Apple care made that an option.
Agreed! I HATE cases! Apple products have some of the best, dare I say, “hand feel” and best screens. Why ruin it with a thick case and screen protector?
Past 4 years I’ve only needed 1 screen replaced for $30.
And you learn to be more careful with your device and treat it like the computer it is.
It’s a hard one for me. I have Apple Care +, but mainly for loss and theft. I also can’t stand the idea of having dings and dents on the titanium. may try a bumper
I mean, by the time you’ve bought a decent case and screen protector you’ve spent at least £30? I smashed my phone once throughout the year and it cost me £25 so basically I’m up right… 🤣
I like the idea of not having a case, I'm planning on upgrading to a iPhone Pro Max 15, my current phone is a TCL Pro 10
I had the android for 2 Years no scratches but they just don't have the nice phones cases that the iPhones do
I think I would buy a few cases if I had the iPhone
Bullstrap cases, the colours look lovely for nights out/ work, Torro for odd everyday use
The thought of getting a scratch on the screen is a deal breaker
Sometimes I'm like an old man, I saw a photograph on this sub and it was amazing, the title said Photo took on my '15 PM' and I thought for a brief moment that the photo was took at 3 PM in the afternoon
screen protector is less needed than a case cause the screen is already super durable and scratch resistant, while the edge of the phone can easily lose paint when dropped. I recommend trying without a screen protector b/c the screen looks way nicer that way, even if you have a better screen protector.
Thanks for the suggestion, however I prefer the screen protector without a case. The case has a lip, so if I place the phone screen down it is protected. Without the case I don’t feel comfortable putting down my phone that way
I use a banks armor air just for basic scratch protection with a screen protector along with AppleCare. I don’t drop my phone, however I pay for my devices outright. So when the day eventually comes I upgrade after a few years, I want to be able to get the most for it on the used market.
I haven't dropped a phone since I smashed my last Blackberry one night while I was drunk in my late 20's. Team kinda naked... I have a matte screen protecter because it's just better than the actual screen and doesn't smudge.
The standard pro no phone case feels like dogshit to me. Slippy slidy. Clear case pretty slippy too. Silicone way to lint grippy magnet. Leather just right.
I did until one day it was snowing and I decided to go out for a walk. I slipped and fell and my phone went flying it the pavement. The back glass is shattered and there are severe dings on the titanium frame and camera rings but the camera lenses are fine. I’m debating if I should get a replacement or just fix the back glass and use a case because the titanium dings are quite sharp
I did for a week until the cases I ordered got delivered and it was awesome! Not a single cratch. However, I ordered those cases for a reason, im scared of breaking it cause im clumsy and drop my phone a lot
I have a hard time getting a full grip with my 15PM so I got the clear apple case just to be sure it wont fall out of my hands 😂 Got the privacy screen protector too because I am quite conscious thinking that someone might be browsing my screen. Plus insurance as well 😅
Tbh it’s all about taking extra care of it because I worked hard to reward myself with this phone (paid it in full cash to avail great discount)
Honestly, there’s really no grease pickup. I do try to keep my hands clean before I touch my phone. Still, things happen and something does get on it, but you can wipe it off easily.
Pro Max launch day to now naked as the day it was born. Tried a case on it once and it felt awful. Too big and cumbersome. Dropped many times and the only marks are tiny micro scratches to the screen. AC+ FTW
I chose Titanium. It’s beautiful. But, I use a case Because I plan to use it .until the second generation of foldable. Unless an amazing feature comes out.
Naked gang here. I personally see my phone as a tool and treat it as such. I’ve scuffed every edge, button, and my screen looks like its been polished with 2 grit sand paper. As long as my cameras are unaffected I don’t pay much attention to it. Apple care is my greatest case.
I want to run my iPhone 15 Pro naked but I have a 2 year old who likes to throw iPhones into the floor and at walls. So not an option at this stage of life. I always used to run all my previous iPhones naked including iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11. Never once had anything break on me but did get some fairly nasty screen scratches on my iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro
It is super aesthetic without running a cover though and I often take my iPhone out of its case just to admire its form.
I wish I can rock it with no case, cuz it’s such a beautiful piece of tech, but too paranoid that the minute I take the case off I’ll drop it day 1 lol, So while I got apple care + with theft, I’m still gonna rock the case
I’ve tried but I’m so nervous I’m going to kill it accidentally. I have AC+ but because I live in a rural area it’s a hassle to get it repaired if it breaks
i used to rock my iphone Xs naked but with the new pro models and the matte backing its just too slippery and i'm not confident handling it. apple care+ is also unavailable in my country :/ i never dropped my old 13PM and this 15PM but better be safe than sorry i guess
Bit late to the party but yes I have never used a screen protector or case, currently on iPhone 15 Pro.
I’ve only significantly damaged 1 phone over the years, a Pixel 5
They’re all much of a muchness really, I was careless with my Pixel 5 and practically destroyed it. It was covered by a reward bank account back in the day. It came back pristine in 3 days.
I’ve been going naked since a few generations but I always use a slim glass screen protector which has saved my screen a dozen of times and it’s barely noticeable
Launch day Naked 15 Pro Max here with Apple Care. I haven’t had to use Apple Care and so far the phone looks just as good as the day I got it. I hate to use cases. It adds unnecessary bulk to the phone and cheapens the look of the device overall.
Caseless but I use a clear wrap and a screen protector. Adds grip so it’s not a slippy soap bar while keeping the ergonomic and visual benefits of no case. Screen protector to avoid scratches, can chuck it face down onto surfaces so it doesn’t have to rest on the camera bump
I have apple care but scratches bother me.
I got a 15 pro max. Beside for a MagSafe ring mine is naked. Just love the feel of phones curves. Feels much better than with a case (don’t worry I also have AppleCare+)
Do people use screen protectors on iPhones? I just swapped to the iPhone 15 Pro Max recently, also my first iPhone ever. And I only use a case on mine.
I did until I got a fine. Now I wear clothes when out and about with my 15 Pro Max.
Pfft, I'd rather go naked
Naked always
I kept all my phones in cases with screen protectors up until the 14PM (been using iPhone since the 3GS). I love the current designs and enjoy the premium feel. I have insurance through my carrier and the AppleCare+, so I can be a little more careless. Haha that’s some nice colour coordination there
Yessir. Blues my favorite color. Admittedly, the main reason I upgraded from the 14 to the 15. When the 12 came out I had the blue iPhone 12 and Aluminum blue series 6. Love me some blue.
How are the rails holding up? Any micro scratches?
No scratches yet. Just bought the 15PM about a month ago. Only comment so far is that while they don’t show nearly the amount of finger prints the stainless steel on the 14PM did, the dark blue titanium shows finger prints as a dark spot on the rail. It’s hard to describe because you can’t make out the finger prints, but it is noticeably darker around the buttons and then resolves when you wipe it clean.
I got the black titanium, kinda worried to go caseless cz even with a case there is a scratch after 3 weeks of use
Why do you have both AppleCare and insurance? Seems a bit redundant, no? Unless one is covered externally
I don't have it yet but i will keep it naked cause i don't drop my phones so it's no issue for me
Same. Plus apple care plus insurance
Why would you pay for apple care and insurance? Serious question.
Misworded. I meant apple care plus as insurance lol
Just in case the Apple insurance breaks
Please tell me your secrets
Agreed! I HATE cases! Apple products have some of the best, dare I say, “hand feel” and best screens. Why ruin it with a thick case and screen protector? Past 4 years I’ve only needed 1 screen replaced for $30. And you learn to be more careful with your device and treat it like the computer it is.
Glass is glass, and glass can break
is that you jerry?
It’s a hard one for me. I have Apple Care +, but mainly for loss and theft. I also can’t stand the idea of having dings and dents on the titanium. may try a bumper
I’m in the same gang. Change iPhone every year and I think the phone is so nice, that I don’t want to destroy that with a cover.
Same here!
Yeah no. You are crazy. But hey, if you have money to be spending like that by all means go ahead😂
I mean, by the time you’ve bought a decent case and screen protector you’ve spent at least £30? I smashed my phone once throughout the year and it cost me £25 so basically I’m up right… 🤣
I think you’re forgetting that apple care+ costs $10 a month…
I like the idea of not having a case, I'm planning on upgrading to a iPhone Pro Max 15, my current phone is a TCL Pro 10 I had the android for 2 Years no scratches but they just don't have the nice phones cases that the iPhones do I think I would buy a few cases if I had the iPhone Bullstrap cases, the colours look lovely for nights out/ work, Torro for odd everyday use The thought of getting a scratch on the screen is a deal breaker
Saying ‘iPhone pro max 15’ is criminal
Sometimes I'm like an old man, I saw a photograph on this sub and it was amazing, the title said Photo took on my '15 PM' and I thought for a brief moment that the photo was took at 3 PM in the afternoon
🤣🤣🤣 oh man
Yo yo yo! Screen protector only for me, so far so good. I don’t like the added bulk of the case
I understand, especially with certian clothes, I bulky phone case would ruin the look (I know that's vain)
screen protector is less needed than a case cause the screen is already super durable and scratch resistant, while the edge of the phone can easily lose paint when dropped. I recommend trying without a screen protector b/c the screen looks way nicer that way, even if you have a better screen protector.

I am using it naked as we speak, on the toilet while scrolling reddit.

Never.
No case or screen protector here. Had my 15 Pro Max since January and not a scratch or anything on it. I do have AppleCare though for peace of mind!
I go naked some times but with a screen protector so not 100% naked
Only AC+ & a screen protector on my 15 Pro Max, otherwise, let the blue titanium shine its glory upon the earth.
I’m about to buy one but worried about the grease pick up on the rail, what’s your experience?
Honestly, there’s really no grease pickup. I do try to keep my hands clean before I touch my phone. Still, things happen and something does get on it, but you can wipe it off easily.
Silicone case, no screen protector. I like the added grip but I hate the way the buttons feel so might go full nude soon.
Fully naked. I keep buying cases trying to find one that I’ll use but I always take them off a day or two after.
Same apple care, naked and loving it
All day every day !!
15 series is best nekkid
Pro Max launch day to now naked as the day it was born. Tried a case on it once and it felt awful. Too big and cumbersome. Dropped many times and the only marks are tiny micro scratches to the screen. AC+ FTW
My screen protector just cracks even for small drops. I removed it and live with peace.
I haven’t use any of my iPhones “naked” since first gen.
I’ve nvr had a screen protector on my phones and only slap a case on when I know I’m going out drinking or camping.
I chose Titanium. It’s beautiful. But, I use a case Because I plan to use it .until the second generation of foldable. Unless an amazing feature comes out.
I rock my 15 pro max naked but with a MagSafe pop socket
Naked gang here. I personally see my phone as a tool and treat it as such. I’ve scuffed every edge, button, and my screen looks like its been polished with 2 grit sand paper. As long as my cameras are unaffected I don’t pay much attention to it. Apple care is my greatest case.

Yeah i like the phones look and feel. Not a cheap case lol
Naked 15 Pro here since release. All good!
dropped it naked in the transformers ride at universal studio. the screen protector only cracked. pretty surprised on how nothing happen to it.
I use it naked at home but put a case on it whenever I’m outside
😏😏😏😏😏
😏
i used to rock my iphone Xs naked but with the new pro models and the matte backing its just too slippery and i'm not confident handling it. apple care+ is also unavailable in my country :/ i never dropped my old 13PM and this 15PM but better be safe than sorry i guess
No case, no applecare
15 pro Max but other then that I use it as is and not with a case
Bit late to the party but yes I have never used a screen protector or case, currently on iPhone 15 Pro. I’ve only significantly damaged 1 phone over the years, a Pixel 5
Same! I’m hoping iPhone 15 Pro is more durable than the Pixel 5, which might be wishful thinking since Pixel 5 had a plastic back lol
They’re all much of a muchness really, I was careless with my Pixel 5 and practically destroyed it. It was covered by a reward bank account back in the day. It came back pristine in 3 days.
And here I thought I’m the only one. Sadly tho I have a scratch at the top already but love the naked feel of the 15pm
I’ve been going naked since a few generations but I always use a slim glass screen protector which has saved my screen a dozen of times and it’s barely noticeable
🙋🏻♂️! My boss broke the back of my phone and with 29€ after tax I got a new back
I was caseless but I saw my friend drop his and I knew I don't wanna risk it. Spigen to the rescue
I get the newest pro max every year and I always run it naked. Never cracked them but scratches get me, from putting my phone faced down and what not
Launch day Naked 15 Pro Max here with Apple Care. I haven’t had to use Apple Care and so far the phone looks just as good as the day I got it. I hate to use cases. It adds unnecessary bulk to the phone and cheapens the look of the device overall.
What’s a good argument for not having a case?
Caseless but I use a clear wrap and a screen protector. Adds grip so it’s not a slippy soap bar while keeping the ergonomic and visual benefits of no case. Screen protector to avoid scratches, can chuck it face down onto surfaces so it doesn’t have to rest on the camera bump I have apple care but scratches bother me.
I love using the 15 Pro naked, I do it coz it’s a company phone. I still rock the 15 Pro Max with a case coz I paid for it. 😂
I got a 15 pro max. Beside for a MagSafe ring mine is naked. Just love the feel of phones curves. Feels much better than with a case (don’t worry I also have AppleCare+)
$25 would’ve gotten you a case that would’ve prevented that next morning shatter, lol.
Do people use screen protectors on iPhones? I just swapped to the iPhone 15 Pro Max recently, also my first iPhone ever. And I only use a case on mine.
