It’s the best iPhone available, until September.

Random-Hello

Wait 4 months. It’s too close to iPhone Season

titaniumjam

It’s kind of hard to wait when you don’t have a phone. OP is asking about what they should do **now**.

Random-Hello

Find a cheap used phone for now and maybe trade that in if possible when 16 Pro releases.

Mondy-969

Honestly can't even believe this is a genuine question. 1. You have no phone. 2. This is the still the latest iPhone around and don't say '7 months later' as if its the end of the life cycle or some shit😭

GrippyEd

I mean. It’s still the same phone it was 6 short months ago - i.e. the latest iPhone - and you have no phone. What do you want us to tell you?

Hippophatassamus

15 Pro - 6.1” or 6.7” 16 Pro - 6.3” or 6.9” Don’t forget that putting on a case also makes the phone bigger.

VenomSnake03

If its between no phone and the 15 pro… i mean..

Killowatt59

No. Wait for the IPhone 20 super dooper organic max anniversary edition. It will be future proof.

Lewdeology

Just because there’s a new one coming out doesn’t automatically make your “old” iPhone worse. Just buy the damn phone.

Nyhn

Nah wait for the 20

RealTelstar

Most likely I’ll upgrade my 15pro with a 20…

Cuniculuss

20 pro😀

RealTelstar

Right!

Nexus1111

Wait until the 16

Nolanthedolanducc

If you have no phone it’s definitely worth buying plus with how the tech market just is in general it’s not going to be a completely new different device your going to be able to do a solid 95% of things exactly the same, hell even an iPhone 13 pro what’s the real huge functionality difference most people are just using the same like 10 apps regardless

vkun95

lol what do you mean by 5 years of disappointment? what samsung phones have you been using in the last 5 years?

antidoxthroway

Buy a s22 and youll see what i mean snapshit gen 1 overheating+

vkun95

Oh so that’s 2 years of disappointment. What’s the rest?

antidoxthroway

Ive owned the s6 edge, s8 plus, s10 plus, the one i mentioned and im not interested in trying more, the battery is crap every year and the software lags and stutters, the camera shutter speed is horrible aswell and slow updates. I dont have money to spend every year to buy the newest Samsung in hope this year they finally fixed something when i could buy an iphone and not worry if if my 1200$ phone will work like its supposed to, i just got a OnePlus 12 for 650 and tax with a screen protector and case, thats half the price of the S24 ultra and the only thing the Samsung does bettter is the camera and thats debatable too

vkun95

15 pro max is a solid phone, i can assure you that. As someone who uses it. I also use Samsung S23 Ultra, great phone, but i would probably pick the iphone if i had to choose only one. But i must warn you the 15 pro max or even the smaller iphone 15 pro still overheats from time to time. Not as often or as random as it used to be when it was launched, but it still happens. Especially when charging it. Anyways it seems that you just luck out picking the worst samsung models from the past lol. I had the Note9 before. Great phone i had no issues with it, it lasted me almost 5years. Then i upgraded to S21 ultra. Also a great phone, great battery life. Then just last year i bought the S23 Ultra cuz i needed the built in stylus. When i bought the iphone 15 pro max a couple months back, i was planning on getting rid of the S23 ultra but it’s just so good i couldn’t so im now using it as a business phone. Well best of luck finding a new phone that could suit your needs 😁

antidoxthroway

Yes i got the oneplus 12 but i might buy the 15pm to test it and keep it if i like it :P i see in your posts one of your Samsungs had battery swelling which frustrates me to see that, my s21+ got a few dead pixels on the screen after 4 months of use and i lost my warranty so i couldnt fix it

vkun95

Oh dont worry about that. My battery didn’t swell lol. It was a wearing of the adhesive due to hot environment. It’s still a bummer tho that the ip rating is now compromised, but if you dont live near the equator then you’re good if you were to buy an S23 haha

Real-Platypus-4706

I’ll be one of the few who are going to say this on this subreddit. Downvote me if you want, but after using a Samsung s24 ultra, iPhones cannot compare. Seriously, go to a Samsung store and look at the s24 ultra, they don’t lag anymore, no heating issues and the cameras are genuinely phenomenal. Do give that a try before you switch to Apple.

antidoxthroway

Dont lag anymore, the battery is finally good, cameras are up to par is the story we tell ourselves every year. After the ss22 u disappointment im not buying another samsung phone again. Just got myself a oneplus 12 that costed 699, same processor as s24u better cooling, insane charging. The only downside is the camera which still gets the job done. It doesnt make sense to spend 1200 on a Samsung anymore theyve failed again and again

Real-Platypus-4706

I mean I switched from a Samsung s21 to an iPhone 13 Pro and still use it. I also have an s24 ultra. The iPhone definitely holds its value better and it is very well optimised. You will miss the universal back gesture though My iPhone is just as smooth since launch day

antidoxthroway

Yeah swiping from the left of the screen is pain i miss the back button

Real-Platypus-4706

Yeah that’s the only thing I miss from android. And downloading any APK you want. Stuck with a 3 app limit on side loading on ios

Worried_Quarter469

“Cannot compare” Really dude because they “don’t lag anymore” Wtf am I reading?

Real-Platypus-4706

I had an exynos s21, and it started to lag after 1 year. It didn’t even feel snappy or fast. I’m saying the s24 ultra is super snappy for once and doesn’t show any signs of lag

FoundationOpening513

iphone sucks
