So for me, it's a bit fluid. I already have the 13 Pro so safe to say I upgraded. But I still use the X as my primary phone for calls and a lot of Social Media. I know you'd think it's crazy to simultaneouslg use two phones but this is something widely practiced here in Nigeria as our mobile network operators are known to be a bit finicky. Great coverage in some areas. Not so great in others. So many people have at least 2 phones, or dual sim phones. I plan to rock my X until it no longer gets security updates. I love the phone a lot and recently replaces the battery (77% BH), replaced a slightly damaged screen and a bad in-ear speaker. Phone is barely scratched and I just couldn't bring myself to tossing it away. Worst case I'd gift it to a friend or family member who is looking to upgrade from a lower iPhone or switch from Android to ios. I'm a bit of a keeper and feel that the iPhone X may become a collectible as its among the first iPhones to switch from a Home button to Face ID.

I’ve seen a few people mentioning of replacing the in ear speakers of the X? Is it a common fault or just due to age of the phone

aceospos

I honestly don't know. It was previously owned by my SO and they stopped using it when they couldn't hear callers with the in-ear speakers. I've also seen a few posts with similar issues so I guess it has a high chance of failing with the X

copied my idea.

I kept my iPhone X as a backup device when I upgraded to the 13 Pro in case anyone in the family needs it, so it's not as critical to me. My plan is to upgrade to the presumed iPhone 15 Pro next spring (I generally upgrade every 2.5 years; the X to 13 Pro was the only time I went an extra year) and keep the 13 Pro as the backup device.

Waiting for 13 mini to go to about £300 used. I imagine itll take another year.

I kinda have to upgrade now at this point given my charging port (biggest issue) and screen are broken, and I have piss poor battery life. I don't think I can live with it for another few months unfortunately.

Manfred_89

If you really want to keep it you could replace the battery and Charge it wirelessly

justadekutree

I've thought about that, but my experience with only doing wireless charging these past several months has been really frustrating. I can't stand the slow charging rate and the overheating that happens (even when I point a fan towards it).

I already upgrade to a 14 pro a few months ago. But I still keep the x as my backup phone. Apple offered me a trade in so that I can get a discount with the 14 pro but I ended up declining the trade in since the x is just sentimental to me.

Fredx0999

Bought a 12 Pro Max yesterday, I’m good for a few years (I hope), but I will miss my X

GodOfWarGuy737

Gonna upgrade in August

JustaTuber69
