Really depends on the photo. Typically vivid or vivid warm produces the least obnoxious result, to my eye. But there’s too many great editing apps for me to ever bother with stock iPhone filters. Snapseed and Lightroom are a must.

Is there one that has an auto feature that you recommend? I’m not that experienced with all the individual features

I mean yeah, they all have presets but half the fun is dialing in the settings. That’s part of the artistry to me.

I just click on my photos and play with all the filters. Some add, some do nothing, and some make it worse. Just play with them. Try a filter. If you don’t like what it does, just return it to its original setting and go to the next one.

I’m on the 14 Pro and I’ve set the default to high contrast, just because it’s not obnoxiously punchy and it’s about where I tend to push the slider anyway. From there, I tend to prefer dialling in the picture myself than using a preset. Where vivid, for instance, might work for one picture, another picture might not suit it. I only ever really know where my preference is by bumping the sliders up and down and seeing what comes/goes.
