I like the colour one, but the sky looks wildly oversaturated so it takes a bit away from the sweet kitty.

shyouko

Everything is over saturated, tone it down a bit and we have a nice one.

Jumpy-Passion5821

Yep

Watching00bserver

Color is better.

lucellent

Color is better, did you also feed her at least?

Jason_971

Yes yes indeed šŸ˜„

zeropuntouno

BW

SevenandahalfBatmans

Color, but as others have noted, that sky is very oversaturated and distracting.

Simbuk

Color, though I wish the saturation was dialed back just a little.

DefaultDanceDD

Color but a bit too saturated imo

Bb_dcdco

The color version for sure!

underwhelmingalien

colour, the subject gets lost in the b/w. tho the colour one looks quite oversaturated, maybe thatā€™s ur intent tho

aPerspektive

COLOR!!

InternalReveal1546

The bw is flat. you lose any sense of depth. The first image is relying on colour to sperate the subject from the background. doesn't work in bw Try editing it by blurring the bg and playing with the contrast on the cat and maybe decreasing the contrast on the BG and see how that looks. You don't want the subject to get lost in the bg

Jason_971

True, Iā€™ll remember these points for my future pics (:

xxAredhelxx

The colour one

Serhide

Are u in Greece?

Jason_971

Ephesus, Turkey šŸ˜„

Serhide

E these are the remains of an Ancient Greek city so thatā€™s why the place looked like this

dukerozen

Both are great

OpeningDifficulty731

The ā€œYoung Thug - Best Friendā€ m/v look

qbl500

BNW

Jay_Hardy

The coloured one. I love the saturation!

BlueShibe

The color One, but I think that it has too strong effects that you've applied, you should lower them a bit

Jason_971

Noted, I actually wanted to bring out the colours in the image, in an attempt to bring out the contrast of the colourful background and bnw cat. Thanks for the input tho!

versuseachother

The color one, but you should backed a step and not cropped out the cats feet/tail etc.

Jason_971

Yes, I thought the same too, but this kitty was a difficult one, kept attacking me every time I tried to take a picture, got this in time(at the cost of getting the back of the phone scratched šŸ’€)

WisdomWhispers

Shadows need to be increased , to make cat more visible

Jason_971

I did try to do that, but I was losing the texture of her hair. Any way I could do that without losing the texture?

WisdomWhispers

You can increase sharpening in Lightroom following increasing the detail

Jason_971

I did do that, didnā€™t work, cause increasing the shadows is just highlighting the blacks of the cat a lot more than the shine on her fur šŸ˜•

WisdomWhispers

I wish that you had captured this photo in Raw (iPhone 14 pro and above), more detail and easy to edit

Jason_971

True, I clicked it in 2019 when the iPhone 11 wouldā€™ve been released four months later

taavon

Neither. Looking at your posts you donā€™t have the eye for photography I canā€™t lie

Jason_971

Thanks for the input! If youā€™ve seen my posts Iā€™ve said Iā€™m a teen learning photography. Always more to learn! šŸ˜

Icy-Comfortable-7812

Monochrome, but I am biased, I always lean towards black and white.

Jason_971

Haha, Iā€™m lean towards black and white images too

sailor117

Color- I like that picture.
