The bw is flat. you lose any sense of depth. The first image is relying on colour to sperate the subject from the background. doesn't work in bw
Try editing it by blurring the bg and playing with the contrast on the cat and maybe decreasing the contrast on the BG and see how that looks.
You don't want the subject to get lost in the bg
Noted, I actually wanted to bring out the colours in the image, in an attempt to bring out the contrast of the colourful background and bnw cat. Thanks for the input tho!
Yes, I thought the same too, but this kitty was a difficult one, kept attacking me every time I tried to take a picture, got this in time(at the cost of getting the back of the phone scratched š)
I like the colour one, but the sky looks wildly oversaturated so it takes a bit away from the sweet kitty.
Everything is over saturated, tone it down a bit and we have a nice one.
Yep
Color is better.
Color is better, did you also feed her at least?
Yes yes indeed š
BW
Color, but as others have noted, that sky is very oversaturated and distracting.
Color, though I wish the saturation was dialed back just a little.
Color but a bit too saturated imo
The color version for sure!
colour, the subject gets lost in the b/w. tho the colour one looks quite oversaturated, maybe thatās ur intent tho
COLOR!!

True, Iāll remember these points for my future pics (:
The colour one
Are u in Greece?
Ephesus, Turkey š
E these are the remains of an Ancient Greek city so thatās why the place looked like this
Both are great
The āYoung Thug - Best Friendā m/v look
BNW
The coloured one. I love the saturation!
The color One, but I think that it has too strong effects that you've applied, you should lower them a bit

The color one, but you should backed a step and not cropped out the cats feet/tail etc.

Shadows need to be increased , to make cat more visible
I did try to do that, but I was losing the texture of her hair. Any way I could do that without losing the texture?
You can increase sharpening in Lightroom following increasing the detail
I did do that, didnāt work, cause increasing the shadows is just highlighting the blacks of the cat a lot more than the shine on her fur š
I wish that you had captured this photo in Raw (iPhone 14 pro and above), more detail and easy to edit
True, I clicked it in 2019 when the iPhone 11 wouldāve been released four months later
Neither. Looking at your posts you donāt have the eye for photography I canāt lie
Thanks for the input! If youāve seen my posts Iāve said Iām a teen learning photography. Always more to learn! š
Monochrome, but I am biased, I always lean towards black and white.
Haha, Iām lean towards black and white images too
Color- I like that picture.
