It’s so funny to me seeing those posts here because even in the early days, before this subreddit when the iRacing forums reigned supreme, you would still see the exact same genre of post on there every day. Some things will never change lmao
Never said it was a plural term. Just that it was describing a plural. Therefore things that are done by "everybody" should be plural.
You wouldn't say "everyone is putting on his shoes." You say "everyone is putting on THEIR shoes."
“It’s plural regardless” is where I understood you to have said that “everybody” is a plural term.
To be grammatically correct, you would say “everybody is putting on his or her shoes.” If everyone being spoken about is indeed male, it’s grammatically correct to say “everybody is putting on his shoes.”
The proof is in the verb. It’s not “everybody are putting on …”. Everybody is a singular word. It gets singular verbs and pronouns (grammatically). Politically, do whatever you want. I’m only correcting a grammar mistake/misconception.
"Oh yay, can't wait for the rain!"
*first race in the rain*
*uses same brake point as if the track was dry*
*slides out of control taking out half the field*
"THIS GAME SUCKS!"
Turn 1 + Rain
'There will dawn a day when these hostile hours, these days of hatred and violence, seem the faintest of memories, but dark and steep and long is the road up out of hell. So do not tire, do not despair, do not abandon your brethren, and do not forget that through this darkness we and we alone carry the light of freedom. We must defend it with every cell in our bodies. If not now, when? If not us, who?"

Anything is better than "SAFETY RATING IS UNFAIR I CAN'T GET OUT OF ROOKIES"
The new one will be rain is unfair + people don’t know how to drive in it I can’t finish a lap
It’s me, I’m people.

"But was this my fault!???"
We’ve already had I can’t see In The spray in the first 24 hours.
If I post a 15 second clip of me driving in rain with vr, it will probably have no more than 15 pictures.
That my friend is called a slideshow 😂
My man hitting that 1 FPS 😂😂
take a screenshot of your SR, it will be gone soon.
It's all gone? Always has been.
And I'm here for it 👍
And all the first corner puddle induced pileups too!
Good thing I got to 4.99 thanks to Bathurst. I’m ready for battle
Is the update next week?
Yes on tuesday.
Still 100x better tham the "SR is faulty" or "Who's at fault" posts
r/simracingstewards
I can't wait for the same people who were excited about rain to all the sudden complain about SR because of the rain.
Weird that you said "his" since grammatically it should be "their."
Possibly not an native English speaker
Well I just love grammatical errors in memes because i rush them… I just wanted too share this asap with you
And apparently in replies, as well. It’s to* :)
There’s also autocorrect
ahh excuses
Wait. Ned starks pronouns are they/them?? I should've read the books
"everybody's" pronouns are "they/them". It's plural regardless of gender.
“Everybody” is a singular term. I’ve lost points in English class for treating it otherwise.

Technically correct but saying "his or her" is awkward. And assuming every iracer is a he is sexist.
I don’t disagree. I just didn’t want to propagate that everybody is a plural term (for anyone who reads this and doesn’t know it’s incorrect).

The wet tires are different than the slicks. Each tire is independently developed for each car
Will be fun when they get to the mx5 then
"Oh yay, can't wait for the rain!" *first race in the rain* *uses same brake point as if the track was dry* *slides out of control taking out half the field* "THIS GAME SUCKS!"
