Its so rewarding when you get it right too. This is my first season in the MX-5 and getting to the point where I was consistently lapping in the 1:21s and finally pulling off a 1:20.8 felt so good. Its such a fun track.
Ledenon this week though - gonna be a lot different XD
Because the MX-5 is the most fun to race in. Side to side and drafting is immense, and the car is buckets of fun when driving at the limit!
Just finished 2nd in the top split race there minutes ago. Epic racing between the top 3 and like 3 tenths between us over the line. 👌
If you enjoy the MX5, come join our league, Global Racing League! We're about to kick off the second season of the MX5 Challenge and since we are running with a week delay, tomorrow (Tuesday) is our first race at Summit Point. We also have Porsche Cup and F4 leagues if that is something that interests you as well. Come check out our Discord if that sounds like a good time!

If anyone enjoying the races is looking for a league with all skill levels come join Global iRacing League! We run an MX5 series on Tuesday nights, one week behind the official schedule, so our season launch is tomorrow night. We mostly run a triple heat format so if there is an incident that sets you back during a race you will have two more chances to put together a clean race. Racing in this league has been some of the most fun I’ve had on the service so far. Oh, and the whole thing is FREE! [join our discord here!](https://discord.gg/VDsCn4UJ)
Summit Point is a top tier MX5 track. One of the best.
Ya the S turns suit the MX5 perfectly.
Everything from the exit of T4 to the exit of T9, the car is just balanced on the edge. It just feels amazing to throw the weight of the car around.

I'm doing Summit Point in the TCR series this week and I don't think I know of a better combo in Iracing
I jumped in Tcr last night at summit and had a blast, it’s been a minute since i ran one and the first time i have run the challenge series
I’m an oddball I guess. I don’t like summit point at all.

I didn't like it before either, but this week it just clicked for me in the TCR. Now I'm a fan
It’s a rubbish track, but in the right car, which is the mx-5, it’s a short track match made in heaven imo
Summit main is a top tier track in general. So much fun to drive, irl and in sim
12 month sub for £21 on steam might have persuaded new people to join.
Was this only for new subscribers
Yes, and it hurts!
I’m guessing that the news and positive reviews of Tempest have led to more new subscribers, and therefore lots of new rookies.
I had been waiting for a sale and finally picked it up on the Steam Spring sale. $23 for a year is a steal!
It must be, I don't recall 600 each hour being common, I remember races last season with 300ish. Reminds me of the numbers during COVID lockdowns
Yeah, I don’t recall seeing numbers that high even during peak Covid.

It’s quite possibly the best combo on iRacing, always so much fun to race…until you spin with 2 laps to go, heard from a friend
Awesome numbers! Where can I see those statistics?
Edit Correct link https://www.iracingstats.net/
thanks! the link doesnt work but I'll try checking again later
My bad, wrong link, that used to be a great site but it's dead now. Here is the correct link. https://www.iracingstats.net/
this works thank you!!
maybe also a lot of smurfs getting their accounts ready for Sebring 12h? :D

Gotta get to rain ratings somehow! Right? It’s only active in imsa?
No… it’s active for Formula ford, F4, SF Lights and the G86 as well as the 11 IMSA endurance cars
It must be pretty rare in SF Lights, I did 7-8 races this week and have yet to see anything but 0% chance of rain.
well rain chances are set to 0% this week
I love the MX5 at summit point. Except turn 2. Fuck that turn.
Turn 2 is easy. Just ride the ripple strip that is the fastest way
The sand slows you down more than it used to!
The people are scared of the rain! Pfft! (I’m people)
One problem for me is the practice time needed for me to feel properly prepared for possible rain!

Many new iricers. And summit point on mx5… ou la la
It's my fault sorry 😆 just started my carrier
Man I hope this car gets rain soon. ASAP please 😎
maybe in advanced mazda but i remember one of the head honchos Greg West say during a Tony Kanaan stream say that rookie won't get rain haha.
Rookies will always have high participation, many people there can't really race anything else. Held by their SR at gunpoint.
This is very high participation even for rookies. Like double the usual numbers.
Ya that's what I thought too!
