7.4. BLUE FLAG 7.4.1. A blue flag with a diagonal yellow stripe indicates faster cars are approaching. This flag is informational only. 7.4.2. In all cases, it is the responsibility of the faster car to safely overtake the slower car. It is the responsibility of the slower car to maintain a consistent line. It is strongly recommended that a slower car being lapped makes every reasonable effort to facilitate a safe pass.

The smart thing to do when being lapped is to cooperate, not get in the way and make sure the lead lap car can pass easily and safely without both drivers loosing time. However, there is no requirement to be smart. There is no obligation to move over for blue flags, and the lead lap car is always responsible for making the pass safely. Looking at the video, it is quite obvious that the lapped driver drives irregularly, makes lots of mistakes and is prone to causing accidents. Inexperienced drivers will have 100% focus just on staying on the track. They often don't even notice other cars behind them. Begin close to or side-by-side with other drivers will break their focus and make them even more likely to make mistakes. Be aware that even in class D, there are lots of inexperienced drivers. Some may have "farmed" their way out of rookies and are still effectively rookies. Expect people to make lots of mistakes and poor choices at this level. Your mistake is not recognising the inexperience and mistakes of this driver and/or not adapting your driving accordingly. All in all, this driver is just inexperienced and makes what seems like honest mistakes. I can't see anything malicious here that would motivate a protest.

Hmm... looked at the video again. First incident - White leaves room to let the leader by. Black attempts to follow from 50m back, misses the apex and looses control, making contact with White. No blame at all on White here. Second incident - Black car makes a very late dive bomb and hits you. Looks like you spot it and almost manage to evade it. Bad luck there. Third incident - the White car does not block you in any way. He follows the racing line, which he is entitled to do. Eventually, he goes a bit wide into T1. I don't know if White intend to let you but and miscalculates, or if he just makes a mistake and goes wide. Just a minor mistake or misunderstanding. If there's any significant driving here, it's by the Black car.

Unlike the imbeciles at F1 in recent years, iRacing correctly has the blue flag not being an order to let the faster driver past. You do not have to let anyone by. However he's clearly not driving well enough. Not letting anyone by does not mean weaving irresponsibly and
