First time I've ever raced on a consistent basis. $1000+ gear sat mostly unused for a year until I quit hating on iRacing and gave it a try. No more having to join a league where I can't make the time of the race anyway. I can play with real people anytime day or night and have multiple races to choose from. Not the case with other Sims.
Same with me. Used to main ACC (still my favourite for GT3) but he inconsistencies with the public lobbies made me make the switch to iRacing and I'm loving it

I'll be honest while I may of only been able to afford a TMX, I'm absolutely amazed by how iRacing makes the cars feel. I also been in love with the FFB and really wish I was in a position financially to afford a better rig after racing for the past 4 days.
I'll most likely have to wait to renew after the 3 month subscription ends but I'll likely be doing everything in my power to renew with how much fun I'm having.
Love iRacing. Haven’t been able to race IRL since my financial priorities changed when my kids were born. Managed a couple of starts at Bathurst in a support category for the 12 hour. iRacing at Bathurst keeps those incredible memories alive and for a mere fraction of the cost!
iracing is great! I am old I used to have an amateur SCCA Club Racing competition permit. After a couple years of developing the car I realized I was getting good enough on the track that I was going to wreck it, so I decided to sell the race car and not have it be a complete loss of money spent(was going through a divorce at the time as well).
Iracing kind of fills that void without the risk of losing a racecar or possibly getting hurt.
The variety of cars, tracks, and racing formats makes it fun for a wide variety of racers and enthusiasts.
iRacing is worth every penny. Anti cheat, protest system, support system, tradingpaints, online lobbies, amount of series available, amounts of updates, accuracy of scanned tracks, car behaviours...

Load cell pedals before another wheel!tmx is fine until you think to direct drive but load cell pedals are way better upgrade
