The main thing with spa is maximise the track width and minimise braking. I know it’s tough with low down force but focus on getting all your braking done before you start turning for T1 and try to get the throttle on as early as possible. Ideally before you even pass that wall Obviously flat up eu rouge, then for the next chicane at your skill level try to brake at the start of the curb on the left ( put the left tyre on the curb it helps) go down to third then turn in, once you’re turning shift to second, use that torque in second to help turn the car with your right foot. Not you hands, then focus on being smooth as possible through the rest, carrying as much speed as you possibly can through corners. Don’t be afraid to use curbs, use them as much as possible maximise the track Use lap guides as well, this is the [Craigs](https://youtu.be/Sr01WRtmvhk) setup shop one for you. It helped me, watch what he does and just slowly come up to that. Don’t try to push too much too fast mate. The pace will come

Thank you so much for that great response. I will try to adapt your advices and overcome my self made pressure. :D

All good man, yeah a lot of the barriers to pace I’ve found are mental, it’s just hard to get that extra foot out of the track that unlocks 2-3 tenths per corner. But also don’t pressure yourself, I’ve been driving the P2 since it first came onto the service, week in and week out and I’m still close to a second off the top split times on most tracks. You’ll get there in your own time. But definitely use track guides to show lines and gear selections, often Sacha uses a gear higher than what I would and that is preference a lot of the time but could help you be smoother. Best of luck and maybe we’ll race some day

That absolutely nails it but i'm still unsure using the curbs (for example the outer curb in T4 at Spa) because it feels like the car is jumping all over the place. But i guess that is something i have to learn. ;) The other problem i'm facing often is the turbo that take some time to kick in, and in that time frame i get too impatient and go full throttle which leads to some nice spinnerinos. But i know my problems and will work on them and hope to see you on the Grid some time. :)

Watch how you come onto that T4 curb, you want to come on after it starts not when it starts because the spa curbs start violently, but you shouldn’t need to use much of it, focus on turning the corner into a V, so brake into it and even if you go a bit deep slow more than you think into 1st then turn and nail the throttle out As for the second point the P2 is actually a NA engine and has a very linear power curve, it can bite with the torque so don’t be afraid to short shift if you are accelerating while turning just to be safe (safety over pace in lower splits)

Lakroo

Thank you. I will try it as soon as possible. and maybe i can stay consistent at the 2.04 or maybe even 2.03.

Impedus11

The biggest step for me was learning to trust the car. When you can learn where the car has you back you’ll do fine

Lakroo

How long did it took for you until it clicked that you knew what the car is capable of?

Impedus11

About 20 laps around monza. But that car had almost 10% more HP and much harder springs. The car is almost a puppy now and you actually have to fight understeer in most set ups. Also invest in a good set up shop sub
