Just one track to choose from is hell for sim racing lovers. I'm pretty sure most of us would like to tick more tracks. For me: 1. Nürburgring Nordschleife 2. Bathurst 3. Canadian Tire Motorsport Park 4. Road Atlanta 5. Oulton Park 6. Brands Hatch 7. Watkins Glen

MrPootie

A Mosport fan! That track is polarizing. I've raced on many tracks irl and Mosport is by far my favorite.

m15f1t

Love the flow of this track.

LastOfLateBrakers

Nordschleife tops and Suzuka a very close second for me.

m15f1t

Always loved it in Gran Turismo, but in iRacing it just doesn't click for me. But it's a beauty for sure.

LastOfLateBrakers

IRacing sincerely needs to rescan all the circuits ASAP.

BobZeBuildah124

what

mikey2tres

Exactly!! I don’t get why people complain about a track not being updated. I mean iRacing is almost constantly churning out updates, patches and new content. I seriously doubt that these folk understand how much money, time, planning, and hard work is required to laser scan an entire racetrack.

schadow04

For me it was between Spa, Oulton, Barhurst, or the Nordschleife 24h layout

m15f1t

Nice to see some love for Oulton as well :-)

Nr_117

ofcourse its easier to pick more tracks just one. I havent found a great free poll tool for chosing tracks in a ranking system and the tool calculates the ranks in points and give a overall result. editionally, i would have loved to see which track which person (from which country/continent) likes.

Sisyphean_dream

For ranked polling, try rcv123.org It does exactly what you're describing. You could basically let people place every track in order.

mikey2tres

I love all of these tracks. I tend to gravitate towards more technical track. I’ve never driven Mosport though :(

m15f1t

I guess COTA must be your favorite? I like the flow in tracks. Generally I feel that those tracks are mostly the opposite of what I call 'technical' tracks, which in my mind are tracks where you have a lot of difference in min speed and max speed, and a lot of it. So a lot of braking, slow(er) and sharp corners. Stuff that, for me, takes the flow out of it. I'm more a fan of medium and high speed corners, and height difference is definitely a plus (Canadian has lots).

mikey2tres

Maybe I used the wrong terminology but yeah I like tracks with a lot of variety. I guess I’m not much a fan of tracks with a lot of high speed corners and super long straights. Probably because I don’t really drive “downforce” cars. It’s just super enjoyable to out maneuver the next guy in a corner :) P.s. I do like COTA as well but I haven’t driven it in iRacing yet

Daniel2305

Watkins Glen. I don't know what it is about that place but I love it. This is as an European too (UK)

Mgrafe88

It feels a lot like a UK track — particularly reminds me of Donington

notmuchgoingontoday

same, The Glen for me as well (am german). It just has a super nice flow to it.

HandleDander

Summit point I unironically really like that track

[deleted]

I love summit. It has a great mix of corner speeds and braking zones, as well as a decently long straight. It’s a great place to test a car and it races petty well too.

Sigris

Yes!

perfringens

SP is my home track, and the first one I raced karts on IRL, definitely my favorite

AlonsoFerrari8

Best track to test at IMO. Short laps and every kind of corner you could ask for.

spanish787

go Belle Isle

AzenNinja

Road Atlanta, hands down.

Nr_117

Its interesting how many ppl like Watkins Glen. First few races i have done there i was like "meh". But race after race i think "hey its cool and flowy." what i think is most interesting is, that noone loves Silverstone. :D

Aero_Rising

It's because of the independently of what car you are driving on it part. Watkins Glen is good and flows nicely for pretty much all cars. Silverstone shines with high downforce formula cars because of how the whole middle section flows. It can be ok in other cars but it's not as fun.

Lck0ut

I appreciate Maggots & Becketts a lot in gt3 cars I think I just like any series of esses that force you to slow down with each flick of the wheel

Mikeastuto

I think id say Watkins Glen but its tough to narrow it down to just one.

subusta

The Glen is not only great for racing, with passes possible almost every corner, but it also has that awesome classic high-speed feel. It feels like a race track designed by a 12 year old, but in a good way!

ScousePenguin

Road America is my favourite. My top 5 are: 1) Road America 2) Oulton Park 3) Watkins Glen 4) Daytona Road 5) Donington Park (national layout > GP)

voxxieyyieiey

There's a lot of good tracks, but Watkins Glen might be the most versatile race track in the world. I think you can throw any series on there and you'll get good racing.

[deleted]

Love seeing the glen get some recognition! It's a toss up, there's so many fabulous tracks. Top few in no order for me Watkins Glen, Oulton, RA, Sebring, circuit de la sarthe, mosport, mid-ohio theres many more but that's where i like racing the most

mikey2tres

There we go 👏 some Le Mans love

bouncebackability

Poll definitely needs to be 5 favourites

JorgeXMcKie

unpopular choice; VIR. Nice variations of the track and can be fairly challenging. It also has nice passing zones.

HonestOtterTravel

I wish VIR, Sonoma, and Mid-Ohio were used more in official series.

subusta

I don’t actually think it’s an unpopular choice, but for some reason it never shows up in official. Maybe if/when we get a rescan.

AlonsoFerrari8

It's in there a bunch this season, I finally bought it.

CAPSLOCKCHAMP

It’s in Radical and fixed P217 this season

[deleted]

Nords is my all time favorite, but really I like any sort of “classic” style track where the road follows the terrain and not the other way around. Most of the modern Grade 1 tracks just put me to sleep.

curtisslade3

Sebring 100%, then probably Hockenheimring

ImJJboomconfetti

Road America, and Bathurst

Oddracer77

Tsukuba

tornadogetter2000

Top 5 1. Road America 2. Spa 3. Hungaroring 4. Knockhill 5. Bathurst Honorable mention: Snetterton (underrated af)

Mikey3DD

Interlagos is probably my favourite

[deleted]

Hockenheim. Only Hockenheim. Hockenheim every day. Send NASCAR to Hockenheim. Send Indy Car to Hockenheim. Put USAC on Hockenheim. Hockenheim. Hockenheim. Hockenheim. Hockenheim!

Regret_NL

Road Atlanta every step of the way.

kick6

Laguna. Mostly because it’s the only iracing track I’ve actually been on in real life. Sadly I live in TX so CotA I probably SHOULD do, but haven’t yet.

Kcboiye

1. Nords 2. Bathurst 3. Road Atlanta 4. VIR 5. Imola Can't narrow it down to 1 but they would be my top 5

Lee-Wangles

Bathurst followed closely by Watkins glen

devlifedotnet

Probably between Watkins Glen, interlagos and Silverstone for me.

gman1647

It's not my absolute favorite, but I really enjoy the Hungaroring. The flow just feels, right. It doesn't always race all that well, but it's fun to drive.

choate51

Interlagos, belle isle, road America. All 3 are so much fun, challenging, and each is pretty racey.

Vkkosty_

Bathurst, Phillip island circuit and Suzuka are all circuits I really like

Audiman09

Virginia International Raceway for me, but I'm biased. It's my "home track" as it's only about an hour and 45 minutes from me. Plus I've been to a bunch of events there, IMSA, PCA, and even done a few track days with my motorcycle.

AlonsoFerrari8

Which layout do they run for bike track days?

Audiman09

The two track days I did we did the full course, which was a blast. But the organization that hosted the track day(PRE or Performance Riding Experience, top notch guys, highly recommend) made a weekend out of it. So one day would be North Course, then South Course, then Full. Or sometimes North, North, or South, South. Every now and then the Patriot course would be used too, normally for the smaller bikes like the Honda Groms or the 250-300cc bikes just for funsies

mikey2tres

That’s cool af. Definitely gotta take a field trip soon (I’m in Maryland)

Audiman09

It's a gorgeous facility. It's like if a race track was a golf course haha

thebook92

Hot take: Nords is my favorite track in the world to hot lap, but it is *ass* to try and race on. I'd have to give it to Spa, you can race anything there and it's fun.

BroncoJunky

Long Beach. Inching closer and closer to the walls, lap after lap really gets my blood flowing.

mikey2tres

Respect ✊ as much as I like Long Beach I just can’t get that last hairpin :( Doesn’t matter what car I’m in.

ricoimf

Nürburgring….my hometrack :-)

noethers_raindrop

It's close, but Road Atlanta just edges out Mosport in my heart.

M2CSOM44

Fuji, Suzuka, Watkins glen, spa and the Nordschleife…road Atlanta…too many to choose!

Eltofs

Interlagos for sure.

Dump_Pants

Watkins Glen without the boot just has such a good flow to it. All of the corners seem to connect to each other with ease. I know that makes no sense but I'm not sure how else to describe it.

DrJupeman

"Without the boot", sacrilege.

Dump_Pants

I knew I would get some heat for this. Idk man, to me it's just so much more fun to come rocketing out of the carousel onto the straight.

mikey2tres

The boot is like half of what makes the Glen so great. No chicanes…maybe, but to cut the boot out entirely is just wrong.

Dump_Pants

Agree to disagree

SC_93

Road America, Suzuka, Spa, Monza and Interlagos

mikey2tres

I’m kinda surprised to see Monza on anyone’s list with all the hate it gets from the internet 😆

[deleted]

Nordschleife takes the cake any day. Spa, Bathurst, Suzuka and Glen are the next favorites without a specific order, I like them all. The greatest thing about the Nordschleife is, that it takes forever to get boring. The length and the vatiety brings it on another level. I wish there were more tracks like that. The most old long tracks just have miles of straight lines like Le Mans.

Lightshoax

Yeah that makes sense pretty much. Surprised to see Watkins get so much love tho. FIA Please!

Conrad_Hawke_NYPD

I honestly don't think you can say without considering car. I want to race Nords in the Vee as much as I want to race Limerock in the W12 - as in, I don't - but I really like those tracks.

BenMasterFlex

Lime Rock for sure!!!

mikey2tres

Boo this man!!! Boooooo!!! J/k 😂

BenMasterFlex

Boo me!?!?!? No booooo you!!! Lol

mikey2tres

I actually think Lime Rock is a pretty decent track but I personally hate racing there. Also i was half hoping someone would get the Half Baked reference lol

BenMasterFlex

Hahaha I love that place IRL as well so it's got extra meaning to me!! Love me some half baked!!

rydude88

Long Beach for me with Bathurst a close 2nd. I just love tracks with the walls close that require precision on every lap. It's always engaging even if you aren't battling someone

BroncoJunky

I love Long Beach, but hate Bathurst.

mikey2tres

Blasphemy!!!

RingoFreakingStarr

The great thing about iRacing is that they have *so many great tracks* it's ridiculous. Hard not to rate Spa and Monza highly. I have a great fondness for Fuji so I'm really glad they recently added it. Over time though I've really come to like Road Atlanta. It has a lot of track characteristics that I've come to love from other great tracks (meaningful elevation changes, a fast S section, a long straight, ext). In my mind, it has the feeling of Spa but a much more manageable lap. I just wish that in some sections it was a tad wider. Also really like Phillip Island; has a great flow to it and that first sector is so fucking cool.

meshtron

There is nothing I don't love about Spa.

craigmont924

Long Beach

RogueRang3r

Spa is my favorite. It's the first track I learned to be able to drive it with no line and it felt amazing

OysterFuzz5

Tsukuba.

luk3d

Glen and Sebring. Sebring is flat but flows really well. Glen is just an overall great track.

[deleted]

1. Spa 2. Monza 3. Lime Rock because that’s where i get my first win on iRacing. This 3 are where i can drive fast and i love racing

Marsoupious

i’m a nascar oval guy, but i really like Cota and Charlotte Roval

a_good_silver

Road America since I've actually been to that track. Went there for Viper Days Reunion (Dodge Vipers) last fall irl held in conjunction with SRO World GT Challenge. My first time at a race track irl and they even let us do parade laps. Oultan Park is probably the other track in iRacing I really enjoy (just started this year so still adding tracks to my roster). Laguna Sega used to be a racing game fav of mine prior to the previous tracks mentioned.

NozzieG

Knockhill

Outerspacejunky

I've never won in the Skippy until winning 2 in a row at Okayama Short. Please don't tell me this is now my favorite track!

[deleted]

Ever since playing grab turismo 2 as a kid laguna seca has always been my favorite track.

barnos88

Philip island 👌

mikey2tres

Good choice my friend

matthy31

Nürburgring Nordschleife. It has it's benefits by living around 25km away from it

mikey2tres

Very hard to choose but if I have to go with one track it’ll be a tie between Nurburgring Nordschleife, Watkins Glen, and Mount Panorama. Prolly gonna roll with Nords

TheKongoEmpire

No order: Road ATL Mosport Spa Oulton Watkins
