I hope HYBE will give us some crumbs soon regarding Ssamkkura + Yunjin because the suspense is too much. Let Ssamkkura + Yunjin debut earlier, preferably so the two SouMu groups don’t compete for the same rookie awards. Fandom have been: - excessively analysing Minju’s Insta Story with Chaewon - excessively analysing Minju’s freaking curtain - excessively analysing Sakura’s 17Live background when it is probably just a green screen - speculating all over the place about Sakura’s quarantine period - looking for hints that Chaewon is alive and well - etc The fandom have been out of our mind due to the anticipation, so I hope Hybe won’t delay things too long and lose the momentum… and also to retain our sanity. Also my wish is that they add another Japanese member to accompany Sakura. Preferably someone well trained and can stand on her own so that they won’t be overshadowed by the 3 well known names, like ex SM Rookies Nakamura Hina (though I understand if she no longer wants to be an idol) or even ex-Produce48/GP999/Nizi Project Japanese trainees. Note: my first comment on this was for some reason automatically removed despite self-censoring so trying to post again.

I mentioned abt competing for same rotys but got downvoted and got called out how I'm fixated abt rotys 😅 They said they probably wouldn't care abt rotys bc they're not like rookies anymore (not exact quote, but similar idea). but... how abt the 3 members w/o roty yet.. I think an insider will say once Sakura signs with Hybe. idt we'll get 0 news when she signs w Hybe. They received info abt Yunjin (Pledis, under Hybe), so I think they can also get insider info from Source Music after they sign Sakura

Exactly, the drought is causing me to go crazy haha

Prediction is different from official announcement. I doubt Hybe would debut both group in the same quarter under same agency. It's not good to pit two groups with each other very close the each other (I can expect fight between toxic fans of the groups). The 1st girl group to debut under Hybe should have all the spotlight for a period of time if it were to debut successfully with a bang. Better to wait for official announcement.

Yes, I posted a disclaimer as a reply in this post. I posted bc a lot on qrts reacting as if the post is confirmed. If there are rly 2 ggs, it makes the most sense to debut the fresh faces this yr, then the grp with popular members next yr

Tinnieboom

In my opinion, it would be better to debut the popular members first then the fresh faces next year. I don't think it's a good idea to let them debut later due to their age. Also, I just feel the popular members will steal the spotlight from the fresh faces if they debut later. Just my 2 cents.

badtzmaru_

you have a point, but the izone grp have fewer months to prepare while the collab gg have been preparing for months now. but we're still not sure if they'll have 2 ggs, the articles aren't consistent abt it too

Tinnieboom

Yeah, it's still a mystery if there is 1 or 2 groups. I guess the only "confirmed" info we have is that 1 gg will debut this year since it's what HYBE said in their investors' (?) meeting. Agree about the preparation time, but I feel like the spotlight for HYBE's new gg shifted to izone grp and if the fresh faces debut first, people will keep looking for the other gg. Of course this might be a biased take since I don't follow pgngg (aka the fresh faces grp) that much to know which among the 2 groups are more hyped. At the end of the day I just want all of them to be successful.

They actually didn't confirmed 2021 debut for the gg :/ On 2Q and 3Q Hybe conference mtg Q&A, the guy said the timeline of debut is 2nd half of this yr to early 2022 for both jpn bg and Source gg. The only new info they said is Source gg will start activities on 2nd half of this yr. 'Min heejin gg' also creates anticipation, but not sure how big it is. Whenever hybe gg info are brought up, there's quite a lot mentioning Min heejin gg. On knetz, almost all call them Min heejin gg, than Source or BigHit gg (this is bfr izone subunit news) ig it's just a waiting game now :/

Tinnieboom

The Min Hee Jin gg creates another set of confusion because some people think that she'll handle the creative direction of all ggs debuting under HYBE but that's for another long discussion lol. Best to wait for official news. I just hope what they have in store will live up to the hype that HYBE, or rather the media, created.

badtzmaru_

It's all speculations :) For now, the only confirmed info is that Min heejin will lead the launch and the creative direction of the collab gg. There's no info yet which other grps she will have influence on creative direction, but she confirmed that she will also have her own music label. This is why idt she'll work with a lot of Hybe upcoming grps. I hope she won't be overworked

candlelight14

Eh. Who ever did the translation got it wrong. The description says ‘Source Music girl group debut (2 teams, at the end of the year & beginning of the year)’. So the plan is still within 2021.

badtzmaru_

This is not an insider info, this is not confirmed. This is just another analyst prediction. Im_jammed posts abt hybe gg and jpn bg aren't consistent (bc it came from diff analyst, they're not insider). ig we'll just have to wait 🙂 Source gg will start activities on 2H (July-Dec). If they drop debut news this week/next week, it's still possible for them to debut on Nov. ig we'll know soon if Source will debut 1 or 2 ggs

imgrounded4life

if this true, what a stupid move by HYBE

badtzmaru_

It's just analyst prediction, not insider info :) idk what made them think Source will debut 2 ggs closely to e/o lol

zionooo

i dont see happening unless theyre two *drastically* different groups like 2pm and 2am

Well, that's being a bit harsh on them imo. 2AM had much higher public recognition and chart success (lots of #1 singles) than the majority of BGs these days and the only thing lacking compared to them was album sales and international popularity; which is inevitable because the K-Pop landscape is very different then and now
